Thank heavens there's only one more volume of this arc because I'm so over it at this point. This is such a mess and is just, dumb. This has been stretched so thin and continues giving absolutely nothing.
I really thought this one was cute, especially since we got a splash of romance. I loved all the background on Norman, Sapphire & Ruby, and Wallance & Steven we got with the flashbacks. Also getting more of Wally (my favorite rival from the games) is always a treat! Everything is wrapping up this arc! Now I just need to see Ruby encounter Milotic and have to eat some words. I highly recommend Pokemon Adventures to any Pokemon fan. The stories are similar to the games but also completely their own.
At first this felt like it was going to be repetitive like some of the other volumes in this arc, but it surprised me! We got a lot of character development in here - a lot of GOOD character development. Sapphire's... confession was a bit much and not the direction I thought it would go, but it led to a good revelation between the two of them and I'm thankful for that. Excited to see if we finally get the end of this battle next volume!
I skipped a lot of reading in this one. There were just too many characters too many offshoots of the main plot that I thought it was boring compared to the rest of the series. All I wanted to know was about Ruby and Sapphire, and with all the extra stuff going on and the battle between the two legendary pokemon, I was loosing interest.
This one is quite different to most of the others in this arc, I loved Wally's involvement with Norman. The relationship between Ruby and Sapphire is definitely growing. I didn't really like how this one ended, otherwise the rest was really good.
This was so far one of the best volumes of this region! AAG! Ruby is an incredible character! Steven was dazzling all the time. Juan was a very enjoyable character. Love Pokémon Adventures so much!!

This volume cemented Ruby & Sapphire as my favorite characters of Pokémon Adventures as well as my favorite story arc of the manga (and one of my favorite stories in the franchise among all media)
