This was a short quick read that I thought was okay. Trixie Harridan meets Cy in a bar the night before she has a race. They have sex and she wonders if she will see him again. This book was short and I wanted more. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.

Meet Trixie Harridan, a natural red-headed woman who is in the best shape of her life, and she knows it. She is here in this way too-expensive hotel that she could not afford by herself, but split five ways, she could. The problem is that the four members of her team decided not to participate in tomorrow’s obstacle course. They didn’t even come to the hotel, so she had the suite all to herself. She had two suitcases, one for athletic events and the other for attracting a male for some physical fitness events. She decided on a green curve-hugging, cleavage-showing, leg-exposing dress and a pair of heels. Then she went on the prowl for a clean, fit, healthy man with an attractive quality, eyes, smile, hands, didn’t matter much, but there had to be an attraction.
Okay, this book is about an aggressive woman who wants to have sex with a member of the opposite sex. As I said, she is aggressive like a man, only after one thing. However, she is one of those rare women who squirt when they are in the throws of passion, and in those throws, she squirts a lot, so if such a thing repels you, don’t read this. The physical world-building is just fine as it is, and the ethereal world-building is more personal than anything else. The character interaction seems to fit quite well in the story. Also, this is a very short story. You could probably read it at lunchtime, but I’m not so sure you should read it at work.
WARNING: ADULT CONTENT: While this series starter has little in the romance part, the erotic nature of the words is there. I give this steamy read four stars out of five stars.

Review of Firecracker in Heat by Megan Flint

This is a debut book from Megan Flint and I have to say it is an impressive first. As you whores know I love me some smut, Megan delivers the smut for sure. One thing I love about this one is even though I knew it was going to be erotica going into it, Megan completely blindsided me by having a really great storyline too. I know there are a lot of smutty books out there that do have great stories, but a lot of new authors tend to lose sight of the plot and get lost in the sex. Megan didn’t do that, she gives characters that are both likeable and realistic to some degree. The story isn’t some huge fantasy world that would never happen in a zillion years, it’s one that happens time and time again.
Trixie, our main character, is hilariously down to Earth and knows exactly what she wants from a man. Cy… well he is obviously the sexy mancake of the story. He isn’t the billionaire (at least not that we know of), or the rock star, or a cowboy. However, he is sexy, he is a bit alpha, charming, and pretty much rocks Trixie’s socks off. He is sweet and definitely the kind of guy most single chics pray they meet when they go trolling for a man. Sorry ladies, Trixie already swooped in and stole this one.
Needless to say I am pretty damn excited to read book two. It is a for sure on my TBR wish list.

I just finished Firecracker in Heat and I liked it. Trixie and Cy are cute together. At the start of it Trixie had geared up to do an obstacle course with her friends. but they had abandon her so she is at it alone. Needing some company goes to the bar at the hotel and here is where she meets Cy. There is an instant attraction which leads to one night. She is very particular about what she wants. Will Cy be able to give it to her? You will have to read and see.
I really liked the story. It flowed well and it was quick, sexy and very smutty. There isn't anything that I disliked from the story. I did however want more from Cy. To me, I like men that are assertive and aggressive. I just didn't feel like he really had a voice so I'm hoping we get more from him. I did like his mysterious side and I have infinite possibilities of who he is. Trixie is a fiery red head and lives up to her trademark hair. She knows what she wants and goes after it.

Erotica is the big genre right now it seems. If you write about sex, then you can make the big bucks in the publishing world. The balance is though, finding some way to write about it without seeming like its every other book out there. Megan has written a book that does that, it stands out from the other books out there.
The sex scenes in this book are completely off the charts hot with a side order of hotness. If you are looking for a hot read, one that will bring a smile to your face and possibly make you squirm in your seat make sure you check this one out! Firecracker in Heat is the first book in her series and after reading it, I want to read more into the series and find out what is going to Trixie in the future.

Megan Flint is off to a rousing start with 'Firecracker in Heat' in which Trixie Harridan stops at nothing to see her desires quenched. Trixie -- named after a cyclone -- is both compelling and flawed. Not only does she own her sexual appetite, but also the way she judges men too quickly, enabling her to hop from one to the next, until meeting Cy. Make no mistake, Trixie is a 'squirter', but after years of weeding through men, she may have finally found a guy who isn't afraid to get a little (or a lot) wet, assuming she doesn't take him for granted. It's all set against the backdrop of an obstacle course race in this refreshing beginning to a new series by a first time author.

...aren't put off by Trixie's almost mercenary approach to finding a man (I wasn't, but some might be).

I bought this book. My review gives away nothing.
Firecracker in Heat delivered all of the erotic romance promised by the genre, and it did so without relying on the usual stock characters. I get the impression that Megan Flint writes from experience to some extent, which authentically translates through this first book. The lusty appetite of Trixie Harridan (I love that name) is balanced nicely with her personal dialogue. This was part #1 in the Firecracker series and a pleasure to read from start to finish. I've already added Part #2 to my list of must-reads.

Megan Flint should not be measured as a newcomer. She hits the ground running with Firecracker in Heat! Trixie Harridan doesn't mess around except when it's time to get messy. I really enjoyed reading about Cy and Trixie getting to know each other more intimately. These sassy, sexual characters get down and dirty, but also remain genuinely likeable the whole time. Having also read Firecracker Gone Astray (Firecracker #2), it only gets better!

This was my first story that I have read from Megan Flint. And I liked it much! This was a very hot read! It had a good storyline along with some steamy scenes. The main character Trixie is a fun character who knows what she wants and does her best to get it. When she meets Cy, her dreams may come true. The interaction between Cy and Trixie is very good and intense. I couldn't wait to see what will happens with those two. Can't wait to read the next installment.

I liked this book but it lacked the angst and steam that I needed to make it great..Nothings perfect and it is hard for a short story to be excellent because there is so little written and you have to tell a whole lot in a short amount of time. So while I did not fall in love with the book I did love the characters it just felt a little too rushed.

This is the first book that I have read from Megan Flint. What I can say is this is a very hot and steamy read! Trixie seems to have found Cy as the perfect match for her compared to the past men in her life. I do look forward to the next story in the series!
