DECK THE MALLS
Cheyenne Pepper gave up on love years ago—when her heart was broken by Nick Montana. Now she’s worked her way up to assistant manager of the local mall. It’s December, her favorite season, which also means it's time for a mall Santa—only this year's Santa is good old St. Nick. The couple goes from "Ho! ho! Ho!” to “Bah, humbug!” in less time than it takes an elf to attack Santa!

REVIEW OF BAH, HUMBUG (Christmas Street Romantic Comedy Christmas Novella #1):
“This isn't a book; it’s magic. What could be a sappy Christmas story turns into a wonderful, magical, bring-the-family-together Christmas story. I wasn't merely reading Lexi and Kyle's story, I was there with them, being part of their story. I came up for breath only when I was done with the book (I read it at one sitting). I've never given 5 stars to any book. But this is such a wonderful, heartwarming read that I felt compelled to.”

I’m an author who had a somewhat unorthodox upbringing. I was raised in South America and the Middle East, and wrote my first stories as a teenager in Kuwait, where my sister and I proved it really is hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk. I wrote my first novel in three months on a typewriter when I was 21, I used every romance cliché possible (including amnesia — need I say more?), and never rewrote anything, which is why it’s so much fun to pull it out occasionally when I need a good laugh. I wrote sporadically until my youngest child (who is now 18) was two, when I decided it was time to either actually start writing, or to stop saying I was a writer. So I took a class and started doing the scary things that writing requires. Now I’ve written about twelve novels and several children’s books.

I've loved this fun holiday series. Each novella brings us a story from a different house on Christmas Street. Deck the Malls is Cheyenne Pepper's story. Cheyenne had her heart broken at the alter years ago and isn't too happy to find that man is the new Santa at the mall, where she is assistant manager. Nick is determined to show Cheyenne that he's changed and deserves a second chance.

I love a fun setting with great, interesting characters and this one has both. Add a fun romance and it's a hit! Cheyenne is quite bitter, with good reason, but who wouldn't be after being jilted? I don't know if I could even consider taking the guy back, but there's something about Nick. He's charismatic, good with kids, kind, sweet, and admits he was wrong.

Any book in this series is perfect for this time of year.

Content: mild romance. Clean!

Ask, and ye shall receive right? When I finished what I thought was the last book in the series, I googled and found this one! Merry Christmas to me :) Also a very cute Christmas short story!

I've really liked all the others in this cute Christmas series but this one didn't quite do it for me. Cheyenne was still bitter after Nick broke off their engagement and married her former best friend. I understood her throwing a glass of water at him when she found out he was her "blind date", but I feel her slapping him while he's dressed as the mall Santa where children could've seen the incident went a bit too far.

I did like how Nick remembered all her favorite things and planned the gifts around them. I found that romantic, especially since it's something my husband would never think to do. I was glad when Cheyenne finally let Nick explain what happened 5 years ago. I found that situation a little far-fetched, but hey, it is fiction. Nick's little boy is adorable and was a cute addition to the story. The ending where they decide to get married felt a bit rushed but I liked the way the story ended at the Christmas party.

I really don't like the premise of this book. The main character was jilted by her high school sweetheart, and we learn in previous books that she dates a lot, but never allows anyone else to get close to her. In Deck the Malls, she does, however, want a baby so artificial insemination is her main goal. Not my type of story!!

It was clean though, and nothing really wrong with it except personal preferences.

Love all of these Christmas series. Such fun stories to read, In this story snarky Cheyenne Pepper finally gets her man ,although it was the one who left her at the alter years ago. Nick fights for a second chance to win Cheyenne back. Just enjoyable to read !
Ps I re read these stories every Christmas .

Another fun quick book to read for the Christmas season!

Cheyanne is a single woman who has been hurt by Nick, her high school sweetheart. She's been on many many dates to forget about Nick, but she hasn't let him go after a few years of Nick marrying her best friend. Cheyanne is a successful businesswoman working at the mall.

Nick is a successful businessman who went to school, got a really good job, and comes back into Cheyanne's life with his son, Devin.

Nick really wants to get back dating Cheyanne. Will she take him back, or will she keep her grudge against him? I will let you read and find out!

Deck the Malls, the fourth in the series featuring Cheyenne and Nick is probably my favorite of the book because it's deliciously angsty but also a HEA, however, the entire conflict and his reasoning for leaving her at the altar and marrying her best friend is so flimsy and so dumb in real life I would never, ever, ever want her to take him back. Like, seriously, so dumb. I'm willing to suspend belief because the story is cute.

This is the latest in a series of novellas based on a street in a city that celebrates Christmas BIGTIME. All the novellas are about people who live on the street (at least one of the couple) or have family there. This one is about Cheyenne Pepper, who grew up on the street and has had a rough love life after her one true love married someone else and left her standing almost at the altar. Now it's 5 years later and the guy is back and professing he never stopped loving her. Is he really a jerk or where there other things going on that caused the rift in the first place? Can they get back together and make it work this time around?

So, the last one was frustrating and I was hoping this would redeem what had started out as a cute fun series. Nope. There were things in here that didn't make the lead guy sound like such a great guy who deserved his girl back. Then plot twist! Then everything didn't make sense nor seam realistic. This time, I don't understand why Cheyenne would give him a second chance. He dun messed up. He couldn't have really have loved her and then did this (either before or after plot twist). He wasn't some hero or good Samaritan. He's just a guy who doesn't deserve the girl.

Loved it. I love to sit down with a Heather Horrocks book. They are so much fun to read. They hook you from the beginning and you can't put it down til you've finished. It was a cute story about second chances.

Good

I think it's funny how these two characters get back together. Nick playing Santa was a great touch. Their first date was great. I loved Cheyennes spunk. A very good read.
