See you at Christmas!

The words are still burning a hole in Evie Evans' mind and undergarments. Not that she really has time to think about it. Not with the world ending, as always, and the kids' school starting back up.

But when Evie and the team stumble upon something no one expected, her and Servario are reunited much sooner than anticipated. Only the reunion is not the one they had planned.

Once again she finds herself in the arms of the bad guy and making alliances with the wrong side.

Stay tuned for the exciting second novel in The Single Lady Spy series!

The End of Games (The Single Lady Spy #2) by Tara Brown I enjoyed better than the first book. Maybe it was because I knew who the players were & what was going on instead of trying to figure it out & keep it all straight in my head like I did in the first book. I have to say right from the get go that the grandmother stole the show! She was fantastic!
She leaned against the counter, “Time to stop fucking around, Evie and end him right away. None of this looking away like you’re a fragile little lamb. You hold the gun to his fucking head and splatter his face everywhere.” I choked on the cookie, but she was back to being Mary Poppins within seconds”The cookies are good, aren’t they?”

It was like watching Kill Bill. My mom was badass. That she was! I loved her character! As in the first book I loved both male characters Servario and Coop and I actually can't choose who I like better for Evie which is odd because I usually go for the bad guy, the misunderstood guy while all the other readers tend love the good sweet guy. Now if it were me I would tie Servario to my bed post & never let him go but hey unfortunately that ain't gonna happen :( That being said Coop is probably best for Evie & her kids and thank God he has some bad ass in him too! Evie has come a long way for me in this book which has me liking her character even more. She has embraced her "spy" self and kicked some serious ass in this book, you go girl! Finally taking her mothers advice and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I had no idea there would be another book, I honestly thought this book was it but I come to find that there is at least another (maybe more) if someone knows feel free to leave that info in the comments Thank you. 4 stars for me.

This book was intense. Evie has really gotten the hang of being an agent/spy again. She's stronger, faster, fiercer, she's using deductive reasoning, etc. This volume was action-packed, thrilling, scary, sexy and I loved it!

There was so much humour amidst the chaos.

"He sighed, making the thick nose hairs shudder. The same ones that had bothered me ten years ago, and yet were still somehow in the meeting with us today, living the dream." Evie about her boss

"The tight jeans were too much. I could see birthmarks and his religion in those jeans." Evie perving on Coop

If there was one thing I really didn't like about this book, it would be that Evie kept leading Coop on. She needed to leave him alone once and for all and stop being damn selfish. I need Coop to have a love interest outside of the group. Thanks!

Anyway, Evie and Servario were finally somewhat honest with each other:

"I think I love you most days... I love you, a lot. I always have." Sevario
"I love you, Gustavo. I have loved you all along. You scare me, but I love it." Evie

Coop and Evie were finally opening up about their feelings as well:

"If I let you in, Evie, it's going to be all the way and then neither of us is ever going to go back."

I find it amusing that Evie's husband NEVER wanted her. He seemed to want everyone else but her. But yet here are these two incredibly handsome and sexy men who are practically salivating all over her and tripping over themselves to get with her. It was nice to see her get her groove back, but not at the expense of the feelings of these men. I hope she's soon forced to make a final decision.

I think the most surprising thing to happen was discovering the secrets of Evie's mother!

So badass!! So. Freaking. Awesome!!

Gitte: I love love love this series so bloody much. I may not understand what’s going on at times because of the speed at which it’s written, but the humour, the suspense and action, the characters and the passion. Well it’s overwhelmingly addictive and riveting. It’s a page turner I just couldn’t put down and I am D.Y.I.N.G for the next instalment. Seriously, I haven’t got much to say other than read this series and fall in love and become part of a continuing heart stopping journey with twists and turns at every corner. Tara Brown is a fantastic Author, her writing style is brilliant and her sense of humour is magical. My girl crush continues and quite frankly I can’t see me ever being disappointed! The sexual tension and the banter is perfection. The switching of affection gives you whiplash and at times I wish we could just make a nice tidy sandwich!

‘What if it was Servario trying to kill me, like he’d threatened to do tons of times? I had no answer that I could trust. I knew my vagina’s answer was a hearty no. But I couldn’t trust that slut.’ – Evie

You loved this one too right Jenny?

Jenny: Yes I did!!! We fell head over heels for the Single Lady Spy series in The End of Me and I think our love of this series only intensified with this installment. I have to say Evie became even more kick arse and funny in this one but still retained that down to earth Evie we know and love.

“I don’t know. That reckless girl I once was is gone. I have to be a mom, Coop. I have to live for my kids.” – Evie

The End of Games was funny, hot, suspenseful and action packed – these books are like a movie on paper. Tara Brown has done such an excellent job with this book, and series so far, and her writing allows me to picture every piece of conflict, interaction and spine tingling suspense, crazy banter – all as if it’s unfolding in front of me like a movie. I need more!!!

Gitte: Evie still floors me, she is proper kick arse and funny and so cool, once she is in her ‘spy mode’ bloody hell!!!! Coop….sigh….I love him, he’s one of my favourite book boyfriends no question, he’s so ‘tongue in cheek’ and sod the age difference this guy is all man and has a wicked sense of humour.

“You are that hot cougar who was able to land a stud like me. Clearly you can suck a watermelon through a garden hose.” – Coop

As for Servario, I hate him, hate him hate him hate him….but I also kind of love him GAH!!!!

“Dear God, why? Don’t do that. Why do you always have to let me see ALL the things you do? Why can’t there be a little mystery with you, Evie? You pass gas, burp, eat too fast and lick your fingers. You take all the covers and then kick them off and I’m freezing. You are like, like a…like a wife.” – Servario

Both blokes have compassion and vulnerability, yet one shows it more than the other. But it’s there, and I am gagging to find out how Tara Brown is going to sort this one out for her readers that’s for sure, because there are teams out there and one will be sorely disappointed!

Oh and I can’t forget to give props to Evie’s Mum…..SHE KICKS ARSE!!!

“Time to stop fucking around, Evie and end him the right way. None of this looking away like you’re a fragile little lamb. You hold the gun to his fucking head and splatter his face everywhere.”

The drama and mystery of the Burrow continues and people aren’t who they say they are and there’s so much going on, that yes at times, I was sat there thinking, I have NO clue what’s happening. BUT…..that’s okay because that’s probably just me. The thrilling suspense overrides, but the personal development aspect moves along flawlessly and effortlessly alongside the drama. NICE ONE!!!!

‘End of Games’ really blew my mind, you felt the same didn’t you Jenny?

Jenny: I absolutely did G! No doubt about it. Ohhhh…..Coop!! Well, it’s no secret we were on opposing teams in The End of Me. I was Team Coop and you were Team Sevario and I’m so happy you’ve come over to the Coop side because he bloody DIVINE in this book. I needed to take a moment when Coop donned a cowboy hat and embraced the cowboy lifestyle.

‘He wore a white t-shirt that hugged his chest and arms, arms I wanted to bit. The belt buckle was the worst. I felt like a raven staring at the shiny object, entranced in its location and size. The tight jeans were too much….praying I didn’t just orgasm from sexy-guy overload.’ – Evie

Lord have mercy that man is one fine piece of……..aaaaagent. His constant piss taking of Evie delights me and I just love him.

“You know the problem for me though? You make it too easy for me. I like the chase. I’m not like Servario. I don’t want you conflicted about me. I want you to admit you want me, as bad as you know I want you. We could have a fun time if you did, Evie.” -Coop

Say yes Evie….for the love of all women out there….say yes!!!!

Evie is still my girl. She’s a mother/agent/daughter/lover who, as a mother, never stops worrying about her kids, as an agent she shows guts, determination and savvy but as a person, she has no qualms about acknowledging her downfalls. She is so down to earth and has all the self-doubts women have, and she is one kick arse and fun heroine.

I love that she’s so down to earth even when she has no filter where “private” matters are concerned. Haha, you can just visualise poor Coop and Sevario cringing at her forthrightness.

I have to say this series just gets better if that’s at all possible. My heart was racing, my adrenaline was pumping, I was constantly fanning myself with the heat factor and my funny bone was aching by the end of this book yet there were times when my heart ached for Evie and the life thrust upon her. These books provide the perfect escape and if ever there was a story made for the big screen this is it!

“You are going to get it, Evie, and I guarantee you’re going to like it.”

I loved the way Tara Brown always kept us hanging by a thread. Just when we think we’ve solved the riddle she throws another curveball at us. Loved it. Can’t wait for more…..and… Team Coop all the way for me. I’ll never be swayed!!

First off as always I am honored to be able to read one of Tara's newest and soon to be released books. Second, oh my goodness I am head of the team Coop fan club! My favorite part is when Evie describes Coop in his new town "blend in look"....*hotflash* any woman in their right mind would love to have themselfs a cowboy tight wrangler's big belt buckle cowboy hat and an ass so nice and tight you could bounce a quarter off it **blushing** ANYWAYS! I gotta take a breath and get back on topic lol. Evie is bound and determined to keep her kids, her mother along with herself safe and have a "normal life" or as close to normal as she can. That is until she has a mark on her and chaos yet again finds her. Coops ready to get Evie back into the swing of things and hes having too fun making fun of her being older and out of shape. While both of them are "Conflicted" nothing is going to happen.... I have to admit at some points I am jealous of the sexual encounters and the sexual frustration Evie finds herself in. The sexual banter keeps you smiling and the action WOW. ya, that keeps you turning the pages.

So in book one James's parents were at the funeral... Then book two they've died of cancer and then they're alive and mi6 agents?!?

Also...you can't look at someone sarcastically. You can speak sarcastically and write sarcastically but there isn't a sarcastic look...I mean come on now.

I wasted two hours of my life reading this book. It was poorly edited, the plot jumped and jarred all over the place. The main character Evie went from bumbling idiot to fierce mum to bumbling idiot to sobbing mess to bulimic to drunk to gagging and then ShE goes to basic training for all of three weeks and suddenly she's forgotten that killing people isn't her thing or that she's NOT actually a bad ass even when she was supposed to be one, and starts killing people using martial arts and crushing wind pipes and shooting and knifing...

I start reading this book right after a finish the first one, and i liked this one a lot better. Evie start being the spy she was supposed to be, stop crying (much) and start being almost the worst badass of the group (although the grandmother won the first place). This book was even more trilling, funny and with a lot more action, it remind me of the series chuck that i really liked but a lot more dark, with more deaths and hot scenes. Can't wait for book 3!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

EEEK!!! This series just gets better and better and more twisted and more awesome and more amazing and more sexy and more emotionally confusing, and wow, that was a total run on sentence :) It's no secret that I love Tara Brown's books and that this series seriously rocks my freaking socks off but wow, this book! I loved it.

After the events of the last book, The End of Games dives right back in with Evie dealing with crap she doesn't want to deal with. I love being in Evie's head, the way she sees the world and responds to different situations never ceases to either having me laughing out loud or just glued to the digital pages waiting to see what she will do next. One of my favorite heroines it's great that she's not only a spy but she's also a mom and she's invovled with two very different and compelling men.

I really don't know who I like more - Servario? or Cooper??? Can I just love them both like Evie?? Yup, I think that's what I will do - love them both. Servario is dark and the ultimate bad boy, except you know he's not a boy he's pure man and he has so many secrets, most of them dark. There is something so completely addictive about him, that I can't help but love whenever he is around. Now, we also have Cooper, with craploads of swagger and a bad boy charm, except he's the bad boy that doesn't have his fingers in the sex slave trade among other nefarious things, he's the kind of bad boy that you can be safe with and I absolutely love and adore him. I love the relationship between Cooper and Evie, I also really love that he is younger than Evie. Plus he loves her kids, I love that too. All in all, I love the men in Evie's life and it's going to be very interesting to see how it all plays out.

More secrets are revealed about all of the secret societies and government conspiracies. Which is totally freaking fun and completely has me hooked. I love all of the spy stuff, it's great that Evie is a spy and that her parents were spies. Which brings me to her mom, coolest mom ever! Seriously, her mom is way cool, like ninja badass cool. No wonder Evie is so awesome, she was raised by this crazy scary awesome lady.

Also, we get to see more of Jack and Luce, Jack is his delightfully funny self and Luce is still her awesome self, we also get a little hint towards a change surrounding them but I don't want to spoil it, it's good though, really good.

Okay, so I know that I have officially used the word love a whole crapload of crazy times but it's because I really did love this book. If you haven't started reading these books, then you really need to get on it. They are quirky, awesome, sexy, funny and really well written - go check it out!

COOP!!!!!

Great second book in this series. Evie is still a mom at heart, but she does seem to grow a certain strength more in this book and put more into the mission(s). I have loved Coop from the beginning. Whenever Evie needs him, he is there - always. Their age difference doesn't matter, and the man is sex on legs. Not to mention he adores her children and is so great with them. And we know he adores her, no matter how much the two of them fight the attraction. We get more Servario in this book -- not really sure what I think about him. He does seem to care about Evie, but I'm just not sure Servario would pick her over everything else. You'll see what I mean in this book. I think if it came down to her life or the mission, Coop would pick her, and that's one of the many reasons he is best for Evie. We see more of Evie's bada$$ mom, Luce and Jack. Oh, and James the dead husband ....but is he really dead? And his mom, Mary - WOW, deranged lady!

This book ends in a happy place, not a cliffhanger, but the characters are gearing up for more missions. Can't wait for the next book in this series which is supposed to be released in Spring, 2014.

Holy Freakin Coop!!!

I received this arc copy in exchange for an honest review... And did not sleep until I put it down! As usual, Tara took me on another wild ride and I could NOT get off of it!

Evie is the ultimate badass mother in this second release of the series! Caught between a gorgeous, yet twisted guns dealer and a younger GQ model/CI agent, Evie is thrown back into basic training and on a new mission to save the world. Literally! Non stop action, sex, blood and did I say sex? Steamiest scenes ever that leave you absolutely drooling and wanting more! A MUST read! Can't wait for the next installment!

Omg I'm so lucky to have received a Arc of this book. This book was amazing. I laughed and held my breath through most of it. A couple times I wanted to jump in and kick some butt. The charators in this book are amazing and strong. This book shows why Tara Brown is one of my fave authors ever. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

3 1/2 Stars. Good book!

I liked this book but... First off the editor needs to do a better job. Sometimes the book was hard to follow because of misspelled or the wrong words were used. Secondly, I will give it to the author for slamming both political parties unlike her slam in the first book. Lastly, the jumping around and far fetched story line got a .title far fetched. With all that it kept my attention hence the 4 star.

Evie, what are you thinking??

The first half of this story I just wanted to smack some sense into Evie but the second half of the book she seemed to finally get her head on straight. I don’t really get what she sees in Servario, Cooper is definitely the better catch. This is a fun book to read and I’ll be continuing Evie’s story in The End of Tomorrow.

Once A Spy

This series must be read in order. The first book is "The End Of Me". This is the second book. I can't wait to read "The End Of Tomorrow"!

Evie has nightmares thanks to her new life. She wasn't prepared to go back to being a spy... But what other choice did she have? Waking in her attic isn't right. How did she get there? What is going on? Is James really dead?

As good as the first

And once again I was hooked! The second book in The Single Spy Girl series is as good as the first. It starts off with a BOOM and ends just as good as it starts. I found myself wanting to be just like Evie, even with all the mess in her life.

What the!!!!! Next book SPRING 2014!!! Omg!! I don't think I can wait!! This is why I love reading a Tara Brown book!! I get mind blown every time!! I climb aboard the Tara Brown roller coaster. Strap myself in tight. And hang on for dear life! No joke! I didn't think we could get better then the first book. First rule of reading a Tara Brown. Don't assume it can't get better than 5 stars. It can.
We get to join the crew again with a crazy maze of messes that bring you to the edge of your seat as you're reading. Just when you think things can't get worse or even more shocking...Well in Tara fashion...they do. Always expect the unexpected.
Evie is a bad ass. There's just no other way to put it. Okay her mom is major bad ass. Wait, so is Coop, and Servario...okay they're all ninja bad assery stars okay! They are like James Bond tripled up on steroids. Okay so that makes it sound over the top. It's not. This author can write in such a way that never takes you to a point where you're like 'yeh right' more like 'oh wow' or 'holy cow seriously!!' It's that good! Okay I also sound like I'm fluffing it up! I'm not! You just have to read this series! I get diarrhea mouth when I love a book! I just can't help myself from ranting on and on and sharing it with the world. Or the bookies I know anyway!!
This is a story of a crazy government plan that has so many double agents and bad guys that are good guys or good guys that are bad guys but really good. Haven't lost you right? Her mind knows. Maybe her hoohah doesn't. But that things a slut. Will she figure all this out while trying to stay alive? Read the book to find out!!! I give this book my thumbs up!! Sevario or Coop? Sevario or Coop? Hmmm...

The stakes are higher, the heat is hotter and the tension is tighter! Things are heating up in this next installment of The Single Lady Spy Series. Evie steps up her game and is a pretty Bad@ss spy! But, what happens when her heart gets on the line? Who does she trust? Who should she go to for comfort?

We all know how she feels about Sevario (and who can blame her, right?), but we get a glimpse of just how good Coop can be also. He is safe. He doesn't play games...but can he capture her heart or does it belong elsewhere?

And Severio, we know how he feels. The Job comes first, always. No matter what. And she shouldn't love him. He doesn't want her to.

--He laughed. "I think I love you most days, and then you say something like that, and I know." He grabbed my face, holding it up so I could see his green eyes. "I love you, a lot. I always have."
His confession ripped through me. "My dad told me something about that."
His eyes were pleading with mine. "Evie, I can't love you. I just can't. You have to not love me back. You have to promise you couold never love someone like me."
Tears filled my eyes without warning. I nodded and lied the least convincing lie ever, "I will never love you, Gustavo. Never."

--I loved him. It was final. There was no disputing my feelings for him. My fear of him would never be as large as my love for him. But my love was never going to be enough to save him from the life he had chosen.

Coop seems to be the better choice for Evie...but can she put Sevario out of her heart? Its so hard to decide who I want to root for in this scenerio! I literaly am like Evie, I love them both!! Just to figure out which I love the most, I kinda feel for Evie with this decision.

Put aside all the sexy scenes and the love triangle and all that, and you get one bad@ss spy novel! Its so good and let me tell you, wait till you read about Evie's mom!! I'd tell you, but don't want to ruin the surprise and that little plot of the story, but I loved it!

You sure know a book won't be boring when it stars Evie. Evie is not like any other book herione. Let's see, she is a widow, mother of two young children that she loves like a Mother Bear, she is probably the only "Secret Agent" on the PTO, and she can attend her son's hockey game and the next day she "offs" someone with without even a second thought. Plus Evie is in the middle of a love triange. She is involved in an "off and on" very racey sexual relationship with the mysterious gun runner, Servario, while the same time, she is trying not to fall in love Coop, who is her very dependable, spy partner/boss, that just happens to be a hot "twentysome" hunk! Coop may be young, but he knows his way around a bedroom and a G-spot. There is no doubt Coop is "head over heels" in love with Evie, and even introduces her his large and exuberant family. Servario also has deep feelings for Evie, though I not sure he will ever love her as she needs to be loved. So for now I will stay on Team Coop!
I have to say, this book has the most unsual "Grandmothers" you will find anywhere! I dare anyone to find a more bizarre group of Grandmas in any other book.
First, there is Coop's over-protective, not too friendly mother, that pulls no punches with Evie.
James' mother (who is the grandmother to James & Evie's two daring kids) has one of the most distrubing scenes I have ever read, that was until, I read what Evie's own mother had hiding in the barn! My Gosh, the inexplicable acts performed by these Grannies made my brain shutter. Yet, in some strange way, they love their kids. I can't wait to meet Servario's mother, unless I have already?
In all honesty, this series is way to violent for me, and the sex goes beyond exotic, to at times being darn right hardcore porn. So I keep asking myself, why do I want to read the next book? My only answer is that the auther hooked me Evie. So I am pretty sure Book 3 will be in my future.
