COPY PROVIDED BY AUTHOR FOR HONEST REVIEW

Safe With You is a sweet, cute, and light romantic read with a happily ever after ending. I did enjoy reading this book but the story-line became very predictable. After reading 10% into the book, I already figured out what the hero's big secret and so once the obvious secret was revealed 25% into the book, the plot of the book was pretty much straightforward.

Personally, this book felt like a modern day fairy tale that was similar to another version of a Disney Movie (minus the light sexual situations). Basically,Taryn Ross, a young college girl, adopted into a loving Senator's family meets "Hot Coffee Guy," Wyatt Hunter at Starbucks. After exchanging friendly and flirty talks with their coffee dates for a couple of weeks, Taryn soon discovers "hot coffee guy" is her bodyguard. Wyatt was sent to protect Taryn, since her dad is running for President. Hence, romance and love blooms between the two. ***CUE in the music: prince charming comes to the rescue and sweeps young lady off her feet***

Although the book was predictable, I did enjoy reading it. It was a quick light read and what person doesn't like a cute HEA where the guy gets the girl of his dreams and vice versa!! I would I have preferred was to omit the last chapter of the book. I did not feel it was necessary for Wyatt to rehash his version of how he and Taryn met. So if you are looking for a light romantic read, then go read Safe With Me.

Safe With You ends with an introduction to Lindsey, Taryn's cousin, as she begins to find herself while moving in with her aunt. I'm assuming the author will have Taryn and Wyatt in the next book since the author did an abrupt ending with to be continued on their story. Safe With You

Safe with You starts out as a book about Taryn the adopted daughter of a senator. She is a college student who on a regular basis goes to Starbucks for coffee. When she is there her eyes are drawn to a guy sitting alone drinking coffee. She calls him hot coffee guy, and even though she has never spoken to him she feel a strong attraction to him. Everything changes when her ex boyfriend that cannot seem to accept that she does not want to be with him is bothering her and hot coffee guy comes along and saves her from having to deal further with her ex. He invites Taryn to sit with him and she learns that his name is Wyatt, and the attraction she feels only grows as she gets to know him. The next time she goes to Starbucks he invites her to sit with him again and they continue to get to know each other. Though they both are attracted to each other something is keeping Wyatt from moving beyond friendship with Taryn. Taryn begins to wonder if her feelings are one sided. As the story progresses and a relationship develops between Taryn and Wyatt it can be clearly seen how good they are for each other.

I enjoyed this book. I was able to figure out very soon into the book what was going on with Wyatt. I did like the premise of the story, and the reason that Wyatt was at Starbucks whenever Taryn was there. This story was romantic and sexy. One the things I enjoyed about this book was the strength and independence. Her relationship with Wyatt only made her stronger because he was someone who accepted her for who she was, and who she did not have to change for. I did not want to put it down, and whenever I had to stop reading I could not wait to get back to it. I enjoyed the peek at Just One Reason this authors second book, and it is next on my list to read. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a beautiful, steamy, and sweet romance!

A light read with an HEA. A perfect read coming after a very drawn out, long, heavy book I just finished. This one I finished in a few hours. I laughed out loud as I guessed something with one little hint simply because of personal past experiences but still it was a fun read. I look forward to this author's next work and delving deeper into this collection of family/friends. Who doesn't like being nosy sometimes?? I loved the last chapter maybe because I love POV switches but I was EXTREMELY thankful DeMuzio included it in this book and didn't try to create another whole book for it. It was a fun recap of the story and spoke of the intimacy of the male lead and his look at this relationship and circumstances. There were definitely some areas I wished were explored more but the fast moving pace of the book didn't lend time to pursue. Is this book going to be earth shattering for you? No. But will it be a fun escape from reality for a little bit? Absolutely. And after all, isn't that what pleasure reading is all about?! Enjoy.

I just finished Safe With You and I really liked it. Wyatt and Taryn are such a cute couple and I definitely rooted for them. In the beginning you find out that she is the senators daughter and is in college living with her cousin Lindsay. She has been going to Starbucks forever when she notices a cute guy. He is the hot coffee guy. They have made eye contact a few times and there is a mutual attraction but they haven't had a chance to actually meet. One day she walks in and is being bothered by an ex when hot coffee guy intervenes and saves the day. This would be Wyatt. This day leads to more days of them meeting up but Wyatt tells her that they cannot be more than friends and that there is a reason behind it and cannot say why. She knows something is up but agrees to be friends. What do you think that he is hiding? You will have to read and see.

I really enjoyed this story. I thought it flowed well. I was pleasantly surprised. There is always a chance when you read a new author and can get disappointed but it was all good.

Wyatt is a little hotties. He is very sweet and sexy and at times very caveman. You just cannot go wrong with that combination!!! Taryn was a very sweet girl. She is like you all American girl and yes even though she is very spoiled is very humble. I can say that the chemistry between them was hot. The only complaint is that I wanted to read more!

I loved all the characters. Lindsay is my absolute favorite. You would want her in your corner and I cannot wait to see what happens with her and I am so glad that she is next!

The two complaints that I have is that one I felt a times it was predictable. I want a little mystery. Did it take away for the story? A little. Am I still going to read the other. ones? Of course! What can I say. I'm hooked!
The other is that I felt that there was at times a lot of dialogue from several characters in one paragraph that I was confused who was talking. Did it take away from the story for me? A little but I still enjoyed it.

This is a really good story and I can only hope it gets better. Stay tuned!!!

***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.***

Safe With You was a light, steamy romantic read that I found quite enjoyable. Taryn Ross is the adopted daughter of a United States Senator. She lives a pretty much charmed life. She is getting a great education, has everything she wants, and a great friend in her cousin, Lindsay. She is an avid reader of romance (I can relate to that)and has a crush on the cute guy, Wyatt, she sees everyday in the neighborhood coffee shop. One day the two finally meet and develop a friendship, but they are REALLY attracted to each other. Taryn would love to take it to the next level, but Wyatt is hiding a secret that could doom the relationship before it even begins.

There were parts of the book that were predictable like what Wyatt's secret really is, but in my opinion, there were aspects that set this book apart for me. For the most part, once the two finally decide the course of their relationship, they pretty much stay the same. There isn't much angst or fighting between the couple which is a nice change of pace. While there was a lot of STEAM between the two, there was sweetness and love, not just lust. I found them to be a very solid couple.

It was great to see a book in which the parents were actually loving and supportive parents who genuinely loved their children. The parents weren't some horrible monsters, and they made great secondary characters. I thought the author did a great job of building up the next story in the series that will be about Lindsay. I hope we get to see more of Taryn and Wyatt in the next book. Not a real heavy read but nice and light. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

*I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
To start things off, I liked this book. Safe With You follows Taryn, a senators daughter overcoming a rough childhood. When she meets Wyatt at Starbucks, she is instantly attracted to him and they start a fairy tale romance.

What I liked about this book:
-It was a quick and easy read.
-The characters were well developed with back stories that made them who they were.
-I liked the characters and not just Taryn and Wyatt, I liked both of their parents, her friend Lindsay, and I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting.

What I didn't like as much:
-Not a lot happened, there wasn't a major twist like the blurb suggested.
-There were a lot of details that I personally felt there were too much of (for example, I knew what Taryn and Wyatt wore just about every single day).
-It may be the formatting but I had a hard time telling who was talking when.

I think that the author did an all-around good job, especially for a first novel (as far as what goodreads tells me this was her first). I look forward to reading more from this author and seeing her work blossom. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series, which will follow Lindsay.

I recommend this to those who are looking for a light romance without a lot of drama. This book does contain sexual situations (although not very detailed and they don't take up a lot of the book) and some swearing so if that stuff bothers you, I don't suggest you read this.

Taryn Ross had a troubled childhood but fortunately found a nice, comfortable life. As the daughter of a Senator, she lives a rather lavish lifestyle but doesn't take advantage of it. While going through her daily routine, she meets Wyatt Hunter at a Starbucks. They find themselves conversing effortlessly and easily trusting one another. While Wyatt has a dark secret in his past overshadowing him, the secret that can potentially destroy their relationship is one that involves her.

This was one of the most realistic feeling books I've ever read. The dynamic between all of the characters seemed so genuine.
The love between Taryn and Wyatt slowly progressed over a span of a month. They had an instant connection but didn't declare their love for one another right away.

I really enjoyed the characters.
Taryn could've easily been the spoiled rich brat being the daughter of a Senator. Yet, she was so sweet and wanted to live a simple, low-key life.
Wyatt was just so darn swoony! He was protective of her and his love for her was so evident throughout the book.

The ending was so very adorable. Wyatt's retelling their times together as a bedtime story was a nice touch. I thought it was a cute way to show their relationship and also get his POV into the story.

his is the story of Taryn Ross the daughter of Senator Ross. Taryn is adopted and doesn't remember her life before she came to the Ross'. She gains a bodyguard when her father decides to run for Preisdent.

I haven;t reviewed this one before so here it is.

Taryn Ross was adopted by Senator Ross and his wife. She doesn't remember anything about her life before she came to them, she was only 5 years old. Taryn is in Collage and loves going to a certain coffee shop in between class. One day the "hot coffee guy" she's been watching steps in to help with a confrontation with her ex boyfriend Ryan.

They start to meet for coffee and Taryn starts falling for Wyatt. But what he doesn't know is he's on a job - He's her bodyguard, sent by her dad.

I loved this book.

Its exceptionally written. Stunning storyline. Amazing Character's.

I give this 5/5 stars.

I absolutely loved this book!

Taryn, is a normal college student...okay, maybe not so normal, her dad is a Senator, and he wants to run for President. When Taryn learns that her dad wants to run for President, it turns her world upside down. Wait let me start from the beginning......

Every day, Taryn goes to Starbucks, before her class starts. One day she just happens to see a HOT guy, he is there every day, at the same time. After Wyatt, helps Taryn, get rid of a guy (her ex-boyfriend), they start having coffee together every day. For awhile, things are going GREAT!!! Until one day, info is released about her dad. Can Taryn keep Wyatt in her life? Will her life ever be normal?

I really enjoyed this book it was a quick easy read but also sweet, sexy and heartwarming with a bit of angst but nothing major between mc's. The story line was entertaining I mean it wasn't anything new but I think it was well executed. this was a relaxing read a nice break from my dark and way way more angst reads it left me feeling content! which I really needed (: and I will be reading Lindsay's story she's the heroines cousin she was portrayed as a carefree party girl but by the end of the book we know she's more than that. I'm looking forward to her story. happy reading!

3 1/2 I would have given this book a 5 except for the last 15% of the book and how the author plans on continuing the sequel to this story.

I loved the first 85% of this book and then I was totally confused by the last 15% of the book. But I’ll get to that in a minute.
Taryn Ross is a student at NYU and working on becoming a psychologist. She has been seeing a therapist for years to help her get over her abandonment and intimacy issues after being dumped at a hospital when she was just 5 years old. It wasn’t until she was 9 years old that she was adopted by a wonderful family.
Taryn has a ritual of stopping by a coffee shop and ordering her favorite latte and sitting at her favorite table reading a book until her next class. During her daily routine she noticed a guy that she dubbed ‘Hot Coffee Guy’ because he was total eye candy. Hot Guy has an incredible build and sexy eyes. But Taryn never really thought she would talk to him. One day while running late Taryn gets stuck in a long line to order her coffee when a guy comes up and places his hand at the small of her back. She flinches because she knows who it is…Ryan Harper. Their dad’s had been friends forever and Ryan had been asking Taryn out for years. Taryn’s dad is a U. S. Senator and Ryan’s dad is the Mayor of New York City. Taryn had finally broken down and said yes to going out with Ryan. They dated for 2 months before Taryn broke it off with Ryan but he wasn’t taking no for an answer. Ryan becomes confrontational and even a bit physical with Taryn at the coffee shop when Hot Coffee Guy comes to her rescue. After scaring Ryan off he then invites Taryn to sit with him at his table. She learns that his name is Wyatt “Hunt” Hunter. Taryn is totally smitten with Wyatt but doesn’t know if he feels the same. After Wyatt has rescued Taryn he waits for at his regular table and has already bought Taryn her latte and invites her to sit with him again. This becomes a regular ritual and they begin to become close as they learn more about each other. But Wyatt keeps his distance as far as any romantic relationship is concerned which confuses Taryn.
Getting mixed signals from Wyatt, Taryn finally confides in her cousin Lindsay about Wyatt. They are roommates in a nice apartment off of campus courtesy of her father. Lindsay is a strong secondary character in this book.
With final exams coming up Taryn has to study but she’s panicking that she won’t see Wyatt anymore at Starbucks so she sheepishly asks for his phone number so she can contact him when her exams are over.
Lindsay wants to go clubbing to celebrate the end of exams and even though Taryn hates clubbing she’s willing to go for her cousin’s sake. She invites Wyatt along and he’s going to meet her there.
As Taryn walks in a gets her first drink at the bar she sees Ryan come in and he heads straight for her with a smirk on his face. Before he can reach her Wyatt grabs her and pulls her out onto the dance floor. As they dance closely pressed together Wyatt can’t resist anymore and he gives Taryn a hot kiss. Ryan comes over and starts to applaud and then makes some crude remarks. After Wyatt grabs Ryan and threatens him to stay away from Taryn they decide to step outside to get some fresh air. While outside they begin to really go at it with deep kisses and Taryn’s leg riding up the side of Wyatt. As they turn to go back in they are blinded by flashing lights from the media. Reporters begin to shout out to her asking how she feels about her dad running for President and how she thinks her dad will react to her PDA. Shocked by what she’s seeing and hearing Taryn let’s Wyatt rush her back into the club where Wyatt goes into action. A large friend of his that Taryn has seen around comes up and they begin planning on how to get Taryn out of the club while protecting her from the media as much as possible. They find Lindsay and hustle her out as well. This is when Taryn realizes that Wyatt has not been hanging around with her for fun…he is her bodyguard!
Angry at Wyatt and her father for not telling her she was under surveillance Taryn won’t speak to Wyatt or let him explain. On top of that her dad has told her not to leave his penthouse apartment to protect her from the media. That means she is stuck in the penthouse with Wyatt.
After a while Taryn makes up with Wyatt…but the author throws in a twist that really took me by surprise. Something horrible has happened that could prevent her father from running for President and could ruin her reputation. But Taryn is the only one who knows about this threat and even though she shares the threat with Lindsay she makes Lindsay swear she will not tell Wyatt about what has happened. While trying out how to deal with this turn of events something even worse happens and Lily realizes she should have told Wyatt about the threat because now she is being physically assaulted by the mystery man behind the first threat.
Taryn goes into shock but Wyatt is there to pick up the pieces and takes Taryn back to his small hometown that he hasn’t been to for 10 years because of his own dark past. While home Wyatt begins the slow process of working out the guilt he has carried around for 10 years, and he reconnects with his parents.
But danger still lurks around the corner for Taryn and he keeps close to her at all times. And I mean really close to her sometimes! The sex becomes steamy between them.
As the danger subsides somewhat, the steamy relationship between Taryn and Wyatt heats up as they declare their love for one another.
But just as the reader begins to think things are perfect another shocking twist is tossed into the mix. The twist will have Taryn and Wyatt fighting again.
They two finally make up again but this is where I have a problem with the book. The last chapter is called Bedtime Story. It is supposed to be certain parts of the book from Wyatt’s point of view but all it does is rehash what has already been written. It is a total waste of time to read the last chapter. Also I was wondering at the end of the book if there was going to be a sequel. After contacting the author she told me that she was first going to write a story about Lindsay and another character and then come back to finish up the sequel to Taryn and Wyatt. Even though she explained it to me I think this book should be followed up immediately with the Taryn and Wyatt story and not have another book written in between the two. This book could easily have been a stand-alone story with a smooth transition to the sequel. I’m disappointed to have to wait for the conclusion to this book.

I would still recommend reading this book but I would wait until the sequel comes out so that it will not be as confusing as to why the author couldn’t write the Lindsay book around the second Taryn book.

Cute story

This story was nothing like I expected, it was more.

Taryn Ross' Dad is a Senator thinking about running for President of the United States. He hires bodyguards for his daughter without telling her. When Taryn meets Wyatt at Starbucks one day, that day turns into a coffee date of over a month.

He acts like he's just a normal 20 something year old working in private security. But he was hired to watch Taryn during the day while his partner watches her at night.

Steyn had a rough childhood, she was adopted when she was 9 by the Ross'. Before then she was neglected both physically and emotionally. Those scars run deep.

But Wyatt's betrayal and deception is deeper. Can they save their relationship built on so many lies but full of love?

A must read!

I am really glad I did not read Safe With You, the first book in this series, first. It is actually the third book by this author I have read. The writing and the story were just not good. If I would have read this first I would not have searched for the rest of the authors books and I would have missed out. Luckily I read Just One Reason before this one and loved it.

The biggest issue with Safe With You was the writing. Everything happened instantly, nothing was really developed that well. I didn't really care about any of the characters as I didn't get to bond with them at all. At first I thought this could be interesting, bodyguard and girl he is protecting, but the lack of development, except for telling not showing, kept me from caring. It was really not good. I'm going to go back and read Just One Reason after this to see how the writing in that one was. You can definitely see a difference between Fourth Down and this book. Fourth Down is much better written and the story is actually developed.

Taryn is the adopted daughter of the senator who is thinking of running for president (though she doesn't know this at first). She had a bad home life, but got lucky with amazing adopted parents. Every day between classes she stops at Starbucks and see always notices the sexy guy who has been there every day for the last few weeks. One day she has a run in with an ex, who still wants to be with her, and sexy guy steps in. From then on they start having coffee every day. Sexy coffee guy, Wyatt, tells her they can't be more than friends even though it is obvious he is attracted to her. So they try to be friends for a minute. Then she find out he is really her bodyguard and then they get together and are so in love. They have to tell her parents eventually and they are fine with it. It was just...everything was way too easy and quick.

There is one small issue with the ex. He still wants her for some reason, and at some point he had put a hidden camera on her balcony. He films Taryn and Wyatt fooling around in the pool and uses that to blackmail her into coming to his families event and trying to get her back. She doesn't tell Wyatt, Wyatt who is her bodyguard and is supposed to handle things like this, what is going on. She goes to the event, then goes alone off with the ex to his bedroom. Really girlie? You think that is smart? He is blackmailing you and he seems angry that you are with someone else so you go off alone with him? When you didn't even tell your big bodyguard boyfriend what you were doing? You are a smart one. Luckily this situation is also instantly resolved and everything is fine. That is the way the entire book is. Things happen but they are just over and done with before you even get involved. You are told things, but not shows. We are told Taryn has trust issues, but I never saw it. She said she did, but she didn't act like she did. It was just not a very good read. So if you have read this one and didn't like it definitely give the author another try. Her other books are way better than this one, at least Fourth Down and Just One Reason were.

Safe With You was such a quick, enjoyable, sweet read. I was captivated by it from the very beginning. It had a unique, if not predictable storyline. It provided a nice change of pace. I think Kirsten did a fantastic job with her debut novel. It has a small bit of that college life that I love reading about, as a college girl myself. The story starts off with Taryn going to Starbucks. She finally has a real encounter with the hot guy that frequents it (because apparently ogling him from afar doesn’t count as an encounter, psh). They start to get to know each other, but before they can get to the good stuff. Wyatt pulls away. Unfortunately, but also fortunately for their relationship, Taryn’s asshat ex-boyfriend causes the truth to come out. Wyatt is actually Taryn’s bodyguard. It’s not a spoiler, it’s predictable, and it comes on early in the story which worried me and excited me at the same time. Worried me because that meant more bad things would happen and excited me because I love drama and I was in love with the way Wyatt and Taryn were in love. The rest of the story is full of bumps and cuteness, but I loved it every step of the way.

I found it easy to fall in love with the characters, especially Wyatt. Taryn was a relatable girl. She didn’t annoy me, which you might not think is a big deal but it is. Lately, I’ve been finding myself annoyed by the female protagonists that have manifested from some New Adult genre books. But anyway, I loved Taryn. I felt like she handled everything like a girl her age would, if not more mature. I found myself thinking that she was a lot like me in how she acted. I loved how she stood up for what she wanted and she took matters into her own hands. I didn’t get mad at Wyatt when we found out he was actually Taryn’s bodyguard. I had already seen how much he loved her. I mean, granted, their relationship happened pretty quickly, but we’ve seen worse. They fell fast and hard for each other. There’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, their relationship felt natural and realistic, based on the emotional connection. The circumstances? Eh. The age difference between them didn’t bother me. The way Wyatt protected Taryn both on and off the job was so cute. And hot. This book was just one big awww for me. Well, with the few dark spots.

I love, love, loved the happily ever after for them. I hope we get to see some glimpses of them in the follow-up to this book. Just One Reason is Lindsay’s story. Lindsay is Taryn’s awesome cousin and best friend. She was always there for Taryn, giving her the support and companionship she needs. Every girl needs a best friend and Lindsay was one of the best of them. We saw some tidbits of her life in Taryn’s story and I can’t wait to see them in context. Look out for my review over it coming here soon.

this was a very quick read. I am sick, and this has been my beside book and i am glad to have had the chance to read it.

this book is about a girl named Taryn. She had a very hard childhood. She doesn't remember much of it, but she is in counseling for it. She been doing this for over 10 years.Taryn is also in school to become a psychologist. She wants to help people. She lives in a nice apartment with her cousin. They do not have to want for anything because Taryn's dad is running for president and she is spoiled. Taryn is also a virgin. She gets told she is in a fairytale because she is waiting until she meets her prince charming!

On a tradition every day after her class she goes to Starbucks to grab a coffee and read her smutty book! Well, their is always this guy there. She never talks to him, but named him the hot coffee guy. He stares at her. She can't help but give him a quick look or two! Well, Taryn has an ex boyfriend. their fathers work together, and they have been dating on and off for a while. He cannot take no for an answer. Finally when Taryn yells at him and tells him she has no interest, her hot coffee guy comes to her rescue!

now here is where it gets weird. The coffee guy now started talking to her. His name is Wyatt. She has been looking forward to this coffee date everyday. She told him all about her past, and all her secrets. it just flowed. She knew she was met to be with him. He asked her out on a date to go running. of course she said yes. But when the time came to go out to dinner he bailed. Only because he heard her father in the back ground. She couldn't figure out why he was acting so weird.

now, on a night out at a club with her cousin Wyatt and Taryn get pretty hot in heavy outside in the alley. They were all over each other. A lot of pictures were taken and she was all over the news. That is when she found out that Wyatt was hired to be her body guard. she was devastated. how can someone not tell you that! so on top of her new heartbreak her ex boyfriend plants a camera in her back yard and threatens to leak out a video if she doesn't come see him at a fundraiser.

Taryn will find herself in a lot of bad situation, and her night and shinning armor will have to save her. her relationship booms, but now has to face the press, and her father. She doesn't know how this is going to work out. Then to add insult to injury, Wyatt has a big secret that could end it all!

Safe With You has a very interesting premise: daughter of a popular Senator meets a man that can possibly show her the passion she only reads about in fiction novels.

This has the potential to be very similar to other stories where one of the two is a celebrity and the other is a regular guy/girl who has to contend with the trials of fame. In my opinion politics usually makes for a much more interesting story backdrop than Hollywood, that's why I had very high hopes for this story.

The first half really delivered for me. The way the characters were introduced, how Taryn and Wyatt started to talk to each other, it was all set-up nicely. Even the mystery that seemed to surround Wyatt at the beginning, it fit perfectly with the tone of the story.

The second half (or was it the last two-thirds of the book) of the story no longer had me as riveted as the first. Everything seemed to happen in favor of Taryn from the get-go. And while I appreciate that I didn't have to go through the typical angst and cliche conflicts it felt like the story started to be too simple. Taryn and Wyatt had it too easy, in my opinion.

On the other hand, I understand why Kirsten DeMuzio wrote the story this way. There ARE things in life that can be settled quickly and easily. Sometimes "problems" exist because we make things complicated when in fact they can really be very simple to solve.

Two people love each other. Their friends and family see that, and they want the best for these two. So, they let them be and allow them to be happy.

Ahh... life is good!

So overall, this is a feel-good story that suits people who don't like to deal with angst and us-against-the-world scenarios. Taryn is one lucky girl!

The ending clearly sets up the next story, which is about Taryn's cousin and best friend, Lindsay. She has made some questionable decisions in this book. I'm curious to find out what happens to her next. Her story looks very promising: an old-love, now a tattooed bad boy, doesn't want Lindsay anywhere near him. Ooohh.. s'gonna be interesting..!

Huge thanks to Kirsten DeMuzio for my free copy for review!

**I was emailed a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review**

I ordered a sample of this book before I was given a copy and I loved it already, so I was excited to receive a full copy :)

I really enjoyed this story so much! Read it! It’s a great little escape from a bad day. It's such a cute story and I see myself reading it again in the future to relive some of the scenes.I loved the storyline of this book as well. If you want a read a cute love story with a low amount of drama, I would recommend it.

I loved the fact that the main character Taryn Ross did not annoy me at all (which usually happens for me when I read a new adult book). I loved her personality and attitude. Although people could easily see her as a spoiled (being the daughter of a senator), she was far from it and took control of her life when necessary. I loved Wyatt Hunter! He is keeping a secret from Taryn at the beginning but we soon find out what it is, if you haven't already figured it out. The rest of this story, we get to see their relationship progress and how the people in their lives will react to their relationship.

I just have to say that at the beginning of their friendship, It was so cute how he had a cup of coffee ready for her every day (that’s when I knew he really started to care for her although they hadn’t known each other very long). Throughout the story I really wanted to get inside Wyatt's head, because he had no POV chapters. BUT! Towards the end there's a cute bedtime story in his POV and you will be very satisfied. Plus there's an HEA..yay!

My rating will be 4.5!

I loved it! All the characters in this book are worth reading about , except for Ryan of course. I really want to know more about Lindsay (Taryn’s cousin), so I am excited to hear that she has her own story "Just one Reason"

I was introduced to this book when I was asked to participate in the blog tour for DeMuzio's second book Just One Reason . While Just One Reason is a better book, I really liked this one too.

Taryn Ross is your typical Senator's daughter. She has anything she wants, an awesome bestfriend/cousin (Lindsey), great classes; however, she doesn't have love. She spends her time reading these steamy romance novels and wishing that she could meet a guy that is like the guys in her book, and one day that wish comes true. Enter Wyatt Hunter. After meeting Wyatt, Taryn's wildest romantic dreams come true. However, Wyatt has a secret that may make Taryn run for the hills.

I liked Taryn for the most part. She was funny and spirited. She was sarcastic and you could tell that despite her rich family, she was very humble. I just think that she got whiny at times and that is my pet peeve. She wanted a relationship with Wyatt, but when things got hard she was ready to bail. She has serious trust issues toward the beginning that Wyatt had to overcome.

Wyatt is a pretty awesome dude. He is that hero that you just want to swoon over! He is sexy yet respectable to both Taryn's wishes and her parents. I just wish that he had the balls to be up front with Taryn from the beginning about his secret. It would have made for a much less uncomfortable read in the middle of the book.

This is a great book, don't get me wrong. I only have a few negatives. First of all, the plot line is incredibly predictable. By chapter 2, I pretty much knew what was going to happen. Also, the last like 15 % of the book is like the first 85% of the book, but in Wyatt's point of view. While I love the male POV, I feel like this was unnecessary.

The Verdict
This book is a great quick read with a cute HEA. If that is your thing, check it out!!

*I have the book from the authoer for an exchange of honest review.*
Taryn Ross has a fairy tale life After overcoming a difficult childhood. her father is a Senator contemplating a run for President, her mother loves to take her shopping for ridiculously expensive clothes, and she is finishing up her junior year at NYU.
What she doesn’t have is love - the heart pounding, mind blowing, passion filled love that she reads about in her collection of steamy romance novels. But that might change when she accepts a cup of coffee from a sexy mysterious stranger.
Wyatt Hunter has experienced a loss that has him living each day just going through the motions. His world is in dull shades of gray - until the day he meets Taryn. She brings vibrant brilliant color back into his life, and he can’t stand the thought of going on without her.
This book is an easy lite read with pretty much what you expected on a new adults romance novel. 65% love seen with 35% of friends and family. I spend quite some few days to get it going. The story line was okay, nothing particular oustanding or anything. It is a book that is full of college and teenager girls dreamy romance and sex. The ending of the book is somewhat unclear, as if the author is rushing off for publishing. The author introduce a new plot on the last two chapters or so, and left it hanging open. perhaps it is the author idea to keep the reader hanging for the siqual. This book could have more pertential if the author choose to focus more on other thing rather than Taryn and Wyatt's sex life, as if that is the only thing Taryn should, and could focus on, when the father is considering to run for the next president, and the best friend is supposingly in some emotional troubles.

Safe With You is a light feel good, romantic quick read. It actually only took a few hours for me to get through.

This one kind of reminded me of one those movies you’ll find on ABC family or something similar. It had a simple plot, a dash of angst, mild passionate situations and easily solved drama.

Taryn Ross who was adopted by a very prominent family is now living the college life. She actually has a likable and down to earth personality. Although there were a few situation where she acted like a reckless spoiled brat. As part of her daily ritual she stops by the local coffee shop for her caffeine fix this is where she encounters “Hot Coffee Guy” aka Wyatt Hunter.

After their first encounter Taryn and Wyatt find themselves spending a great deal of time learning about each other over coffee. Quickly these two form a bond and intense attraction but Wyatt is keeping a small secret that may change the way she feels about him.

Ms. DeMuzio has a talent for creating highly likable and relatable characters. Everyone involved added something special to the mix. I did experience a few drawbacks but it did not by any means take away from me enjoying the story. One thing that I found absolutely unnecessary was the fact that the last 15% or so was spent retelling the entire book from Wyatt’s POV as a “bedtime story” for Taryn.

Overall I enjoyed Safe With You very much and recommend this to anyone who enjoys a HEA with a light trace of secrecy and sensual situations.

**Huge thanks to the author for providing me with an arc copy in exchange for my honest opinion**

Taryn Moss is a college students that has a Starbucks routine. Every weekday before class she stops into a Starbucks. Just so happens there is eye-candy, Hot Coffee Guy. One day as fate would have it, her ex boyfriend Ryan Harper, stops by the coffee shop. Confrontation brews and Taryn is saved by the one and only, HCG, Wyatt Hunter. Taryn and Wyatt hit it off and what started off as friendly coffee conversation shapes itself into coffee dates. Taryn's adoptive father is a Senator and will soon be running for presidency. Unbeknownst to Taryn, she was issued a bodyguard and he ends up being Wyatt. We take a journey through their past and how they found each other to be what they needed. I will say this much... the age difference was a little much. How a 21 year old and 29 can make it work, well I won't know. But it did for them :)

I enjoyed reading this book. Others complained that it was predictable. And like most, I don't normally like predictable. I found it to be a happy amount of predictability. The ending was different. It gave Wyatt's perspective of how the relationship blossomed. So that was unlike I've seen before in a book. Others didn't like it but I didn't mind it. Perhaps its because I am a curious person. I could have finished the book in one sitting as it was an easy read. Sadly life just got in the way, don't you just hate it when that happens?

I would recommend Safe with You to my gal pals. I believe it have the best balance of love, fluff and sex. Nothing too provocative. Heck I'd probably even let my mom read it if she hasn't done so already.

I give this story a 3 1/2 star rating and I will soon be reading the 2nd book Just One Reason.

Of all of the books in Kirsten DeMuzio's First and Last series, Safe With You was my least favorite. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it—it was a fun read with all the right elements—but the story was really short, which put everything at an accelerated pace, and predictable. I had read Just One Reason  (the second book in the series following Taryn's cousin, Lindsay) first, so I was already aware of the "big reveal," but it really wasn't subtle regardless of my prior knowledge.

Also, insta-love is rampant. I have a bad habit of being able to justify courtships that are a little too fast-paced a little too well, but this felt quick even for me. Within a couple of weeks they're in love and with the one and I just kind of wanted to tell them to slow their roll a bit. The fast pace also meant there wasn't a whole lot in the way of strong character development, so it felt a little bit cookie cutter. You could have put virtually any type of characters in their shoes, and it would've felt about the same. But, despite the rougher bits, it's a fun read with a little bit of sexiness and a sweet HEA that doesn't see a whole lot of opposition or conflict.

Safe With You is a short, simple, sweet—but still enjoyable—romance. If you're in the mood for a very quick romance without a whole lot of surprises or hiccups, this is a a great choice.

3 Hot Coffee Stars

A short and sweet read about a college girl, Taryn, who meets a mysterious guy, Wyatt, in a coffee shop. They become friends instantly and it starts to grow into something more.

But Wyatt has a secret.(One that was painfully obvious to me the entire time) And when Taryn finds out it could ruin everything.

Taryn

She's sweet and loyal. Her childhood was somewhat traumatizing and still has some issues to work through. She lives with her best friend and cousin Lindsay(I liked her more than the heroine).

Wyatt

He's ex-military, alpha male and is sexy. He just didn't make me swoon, I wanted too but it just didnt happen.

The plot was fairy predictable, somewhat enjoyable, and moved fast.(Instalove, which is a pet peeve of mine.) There was little to angst and I just didn't connect with the characters. It was a good concept, it just didn't do it for me.

The last 5% was Wyatt retelling how they met. It was cute, maybe a little too cutesy for me and not enough sexy.

There will be a book 2, which is Lindsay's story. I did enjoy her character so I may give it a go.

This book is like a good cup of coffee! It is a sweet read with a little steam!

This was just one of the sweetest, sexy reads, I have read in a long time. The story just sort of weaves a spell around you and you are falling in love with Taryn and Wyatt. The really are just two of the most likable characters I have ever read. They are not perfect and are just so real. They both felt like friends you have had forever. You cannot help but like them and root for them throughout the whole book. Taryn was just such a wonderful friend, daughter, and person. I loved how she did not let drama of her childhood affect her present. She really just was so together and thankful for her parents. I love her relationship with her parents. It was full of love and honesty! It was great to see how supporting they all were with each other.

Wyatt and Taryn's love story is so well done. It is not rushed or forced along. The just naturally start to fall for each other and it is amazing to read. There are a few twist and turns in the road, but they mange to stay true to each other and come out on the other side. I love how gentle and patient Wyatt is with Taryn. He does have a little Alpha in him but just enough to make you pant a little! there is plenty of steam and some really nice love scenes to heat of up your day. This is a great Happily-Ever-After!! This book is just a really nice read!
P.S. Lindsey's story is the next book and I can not wait to read It. It looks fab!

I've recieved an E-mail from Kirsten DeMuzio in exchange for a review.

5++ STARS!

I LOVE this book!!!
OH MY GOD!!!

I really in love with the character in this book. I love Taryn, Wyatt, Lindsay, Dom, and even James and Rebecca Ross.

What I love about this book, because there's no "bad people" here. There's Ryan Harper tho, but it takes only the tiniest part in this book, so I really don't care about it.

And I really, really LOVE Taryn's parents, James and Rebecca Ross. Even though he is a "big person" but he is so, so kind! They're really love Taryn so much. I wish all the parents in the world could act like that.

And Wyatt, he is truly a boyfriend material! I wish I had my own Wyatt for me and carry him in my pocket.

my cast:

maybe, a little James and Rebecca Ross

This was the first book I have read by Kirsten DeMuzio. I found the book to be enjoyable. The pace was quick and the storyline was cute. It did remind me a little of a movie I had seen before and initially I found it to be a little predictable, however, I was glad to know that there was still 50% of the book remaining once we got to Wyatt's background.

I think Wyatt made for a great Hero and Taryn was a truly likeable heroine. Some of the best moments came from their interactions with the other characters Dominic and Lindsay. (I really can't wait to read Lindsay's story--the teaser was great!) The romantic scenes had enough sizzle to keep at reader interested without too much naughty language to turn others off.

So why only a 4 star read? Then ending. The book was wrapping up great. I loved Wyatt's storytelling but it just stops. Even though the we are given the information that more is to come, this left me hanging. So now I wonder, do we get more of Taryn and Wyatt in Lyndsay's book or will they finish off their story in another book of their own, and most importantly, when will I get to read it?

With thanks to the author and The New Adult Book Club for the copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

****I received this book in exchange for my honest review****

Taryn Ross is the adoptive daughter of a New York State Senator. Taryn is a Junior in College and lives with her cousin and best-friend Lindsay in a nice NYC apartment. Every day during her break between classes she goes to the local Starbucks and has a coffee. She has noticed someone there over the last couple of weeks and calls him "Hot Coffee Guy" when she speaks to Lindsay about him.
Wyatt Hunter aka "Hot Coffee Guy" is a man with a secret, he begins a friendship with Taryn even though he knows it could get him in a lot of trouble.

This is a cute story that shows that sometimes you just need that one person to enter you life to help you figure things out. I really enjoyed the way Kirsten DeMuzio writes both points of view on what is happening.

I enjoyed this book so much I have added the second book Just One Reason to my to-read shelf
