No one said that life as a Greater Demon would be fair, and Keeley Thomson is feeling the pinch as someone tries very hard to kill her.

Now she has to uncover even more secrets about her world and find new ways to survive as the clock ticks down and her greatest secret is exposed to the world. Which is exactly what she needed, of course.

Can Americas favorite schoolgirl triumph in this new situation? Can she even survive the week?

Only if Keeley can figure out some way to become a lot more than the world's newest baby Demon in time and work out who the shadowy figures behind her current problems really are. It isn't likely, but, as everyone knows, unlikely is what her kind does best.

P.S. Power works in fiction, mainly focusing on Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror genres, with brief forays into other things just to keep life interesting. He averages 1 to 2 books monthly and has several series going. He lives in an isolated cabin in the middle of nowhere, as a recluse, yet still manages to find time to talk to people online, in a positive and delightful manner. Not one of those creepy hermit types though, you understand. It's more of an isolated farm style thing. Or ranch really. He's also interested in three dimensional photography, and long moonlit walks on the beach, sometimes with vampires. When he can find time he also does writing and voice work for scripted online programs. Anyway, feel free to drop him a line.

Hello Everyone!

In chatting with Dale over the past few weeks, it was decided that he was interested in blogging to you, his readers. The blog he had within the main site was not going to be a viable solution and there were thoughts of just creating a Forum where only he could post and everyone else could reply. This MOD is a nice meeting of the two for what will hopefully be a highly successful blog!

Hoping this first (and only) post by me will kick off a nice method of interaction with Dale's readers!

p.s. - Also going to try and get the feed that comes with this to feed into Amazon and Goodreads. Good luck to one and all!!

The latest (but hopefully not last) book in the Keeley Thomson series, the book picks up on Keeley's progress following an intense confrontation in the previous book that she narrowly escaped. Now working to train herself to be stronger and better than before - and to work to regain her sister's trust and forgiveness - Keeley shows new determination than she has in previous attempts.

While this book is interesting on a number of levels, it suffers from two critical problems. The first is the odd mix of time-skip while over-reviewing material from previous books. Two months have passed since the end of "Mistress of Souls", and things have happened in Keeley's life...but they aren't directly discussed. And at the same time, the same material that has been reviewed and recalled in the previous two books is once again renewed. This creates an odd dichotomy where the reader is trying to read between the lines to figure out what has happened in the missing two months - which are never directly discussed - while still having to go through the same rehashing of common information (Darla's anti-Christian bigotry, Halley's crushes, Finias being...well, Finias).

The other problem is a lack of a coherent plot that is easy to follow. While the overall development of Keeley's skill and character is interesting to view, the underlying plot and driving force is somewhat...abstracted. The previous books had obvious enemies and threats, whereas the threats in Demon Trap are more nebulous and don't have the same presence or driving force.

Overall, the book is enjoyable and holds up to the previous books in the series, though it still shows some of the same areas where a little extra polish would go a long way, particularly in the introduction of new characters and in the wrap-up, which felt somewhat anti-climactic.

Still, recommended for fans of Keeley Thomson and her crew.

It was a bit different from the previous books since it did not take place in real time but there was some jumps in between stuff and it started out a few months later with little to tell from the in between time.

I still liked the book a lot.

The story keeps guetting better, we finally see the expasion of the universe by inserting elements of another novel, Kelly is finally taking time to develope new tricks to face her new life as a Baby Demon, wich is mutch important now that she has been outed. I like some of the ideas she has come up a really ingenious way of implementing all those funny cheats advantage that we love in some novels. So the novel rigth now is taking a great direction, I am excited where she will end up.

Keeley is still coming to terms with her powers and trying to be a 'normal' greater demon. Fun book overall and a very quick read.

Make sure to read Shortcuts first, otherwise you'll feel a bit lost by the end of the first chapter like I was.

Keeley is learning to be a Greater Demon

This installment brings Keeley more into her new found life as a Greater Demon. She has much to learn, but she has lots of innate talent and learns very quickly.

Enjoy the ride with her as she grows into her role as the Mistress of Souls.
