Hunted Dreams

Her history, her whereabouts, her name: She knows nothing. Nothing but her current reality: a constant stream of horrific, surrealistic scenarios in which she fights not only monsters and unseen attackers but also her own pain and despair.

Reed Jayvyn is an ex-Army vet, penniless and living in his truck. After saving a young man from attackers, he finds himself embroiled in a superhuman drama between the Broschi and the Clan, two groups engaged in a centuries-long war. Worse, he finds he is one of them—a Broschi, a psychic vampire that feeds off the pain of humans. But Reed’s greatest surprise comes each night, when he finds himself dreaming of a fierce, nameless woman.

She is dreaming. So says the handsome man who uses his heretofore latent psychic ability to flicker in and out of her dreamscape. With Reed’s help, she slowly learns more about who she is, why she is here, what trauma in her past keeps her locked inside her mind. Meanwhile, Reed explores his own heritage, discovering enemies and allies in unexpected places.

But most important to Reed is freeing this woman caught in an endless loop of nightmares, someone he considers in every way to be the woman of his dreams.

When I started this book, I was a little lost, having never read the first two books in the series. But, once I started to get into it, I could not put it down. The author has created a very unique, well written novel with a brilliant plot and interesting, well-developed characters that bring to life this one of a kind story. They all have wonderful characteristics and personalities, which make the story far more intriguing. I especially loved the fact that Reed, who is sexy and strong, finds himself drawn to a woman who is normal – just like me and you. I LOVE when authors write their characters this way. It just makes the whole scenario so much dreamier.

What really got me hooked the most, though, were the beautiful dream sequences between Reed and his mystery woman. They just drew me in, leaving me anxiously awaiting the next encounter. There was just something so romantic about them – it honestly made the book for me.

This was the first book I’d ever read by this author, and having read Hunted Dreams, I can honestly say it will not be my last. If you enjoy paranormal romance, this book is definitely worth the read.

Trapped in a never-ending nightmare, a kidnapped woman falls in love with Reed, a not-so-human individual caught up in an ancient war between two sets of creatures. The first half of this dark, sinister plot would do well as a movie. Shifting dreams necessitates constant...

Hunted Dreams is a well-written, thought-provoking thrill ride! Elle Hill hit it out of the ballpark on this one with a unique story, superb witty characters and page-turning drama. I loved the fact that she paired up a surly, sexy hero who was seeking out the right thing to do, against all odds, with a wonderfully "normal" woman who is facing horrific circumstances. I particularly loved the dream sequences, and found myself looking forward to them and reading just to get to them. Creative and wonderful! I highly recommend this book! :)

I absolutely loved this beautifully written, highly creative novel. Elle Hill has given us a real page turner with intricate plot twists I didn’t see coming. It is an exciting new take on the genre. I especially loved the imagery in the unique dream sequences and the inner strength displayed by the characters.
