Greek tycoon Theron Christofides needs to gain possession of Dolmides Cruise Lines and the little Greek island where it left a shipwrecked eyesore. A lot of people are at risk without his intervention. Old man Dolmides will sell on one condition: Theron must marry Dolmides’ illegitimate daughter. Seeing no other way to rescue the island’s people, Theron agrees to sacrifice himself and his future. As Theron stands at the altar with his bride-to-be, a fiery-haired woman in snakeskin boots and a cowboy hat interrupts their vows by calling his bride a fraud. Liberty Blake gave up her position as the head of a multi-million dollar non-profit corporation to stay home to raise her children and be the caretaker of her grandmother.

She is proud of her children and happy with the choices she made. However, there is a small part of her that wishes she had accepted the job offer that would have required her to travel internationally several times a year. The first assignment would have taken her to Paris in the springtime.

Over the years she has been a radio disk jockey, a news director, a cocktail waitress, and many other things.

But writing has always been in her heart while she worked at jobs to gain life experience and put food on the table.

Liberty loves objectifying beautiful men, walking on the beach, in the woods, climbing mountains (ok, hiking up a small hill), and writing about rich men and the women who love them in spite of their money.

Liberty Blake is the author of the Boundless Billionaires Series. (The first book, The Counterfeit Bride is a free ebook.)

PS: If you can see my date of birth, the day and monthy are correct, but the year is a secret.

This book is deeply silly. I know, this isn't a surprise because it practically screams as much from the cover and blurb and title. And it's not so much that the events, background, characters, and plot are silly as it is that they flow from one tone to another, pretty much at will. And it's so overwhelming that I can't even begin to describe any single detail without a cascade of related detail trying to pour out into the review.

So let me just say that Cassidy and Theron are completely impossible in every way. And none of this story makes any kind of sense. And the entertainment I got out of it had more to do with going along for the absurdity than anything normal or healthy or, well, good. Because the thing is that it flows from one absurd point to the next with a relentless pace and just as you realize one impossible thing (giant bodyguard biker dude is her fancy-pants lawyer too!) than another one smacks you in the face (Cassidy is still a virgin?!?). I think I must have finished this in a daze because I'm truly not sure what kept me going despite knowing that this was all stupid nonsense.

But I did keep going. And I was entertained. And I have no defense as to why. So let's call it an extremely generous, completely undeserved three stars and call it a day?

A note about Steamy: There are a couple of explicit sex scenes, putting this on the low end of my steam tolerance. They're on par with everything else, which is just as well because as long as we're in lala land, why not have the hot-for-it virgin totally have a great first time despite not bothering to tell her guy beforehand?

2.5*

This book has some fabulous reviews and I found the blurb interesting enough for me to start this straight away.

Greek tycoon Theron Christofides is gods gift to women yet he's marrying a woman he does even like let alone love in order to save jobs.
The woman in question is supposed to be Cassiopeia Dolmides the daughter of Costas Dolmides and his mistress Kelley Flynn. The marriage and subsequent heir is the deal Costas has forced on Theron but just as the wedding is taking place a woman storms in claiming to be the the real Cassiopeia.
Who is the real Cassiopeia and what on earth is going on?

It's difficult to describe my feelings on this book there's a lot here, maybe too much but it just didn't really come together that well for me and I found myself skimming through it.

I liked Cassidy as a character, she's strong and independent especially when you discover the life she's led and the pain she's suffered. Theron as well was likeable enough and towards the end I found I grown quite attracted to him.

What didn't I like?

Firstly it was very repetitive I got a little fed up of being told repeatedly that Theron didn't want to marry 'Cassiopeia' and again how attracted he was to Cassidy. I assumed this was filler to drag the story out but it turned out there was plenty of story maybe even too much story.
I know what you're probably thinking Is it possible to have too much story?
It is when parts seemed rushed and skimmed over.

There was an interesting book here but the balance felt off for me it needed tightening up, a little less repetition and some parts expanded.

Although judging by the reviews I'd say this is a case of its me not the book.

Hmmm. I don't know how to rate this one. I loved the concept and I loved that Cassidy was so spunky. But she was like a Teaxn Superhero. She can charm anyone, she can punch a grown man, she can stop a bar fight, she can swing a mean baseball bat, she is a successful business owner, oh and she runs a ranch for special needs kids. Did we really need all that?

The romance was lacking in this book. From the first page we hear in detail and repeatedly all about Theron's body's reactions to her every move. The blood flow, the tight pants, he's never felt this way before. If he's so turned on then the author didn't have to convince us with all her superhero qualities. There was little attraction because they liked and respected each other. That just doesn't do anything for me.

I got this as a kindle freebie so it was about what I expect. Not bad, but not that great either.

[I really did enjoy this book. It was about Treon and Cassidy and an imposter posing as her. It was a really good story it just left me wanting more at the end. After months away when they see each other and he finds she is pregnant I just think we could have had more story than they just made up. I feel it was a great opportunity to continue a few more pages of story. All in all it was a good read

9% and dnf'ing. I have no idea what is going on in the story, or who all the people are. Everyone has blended together in a mish-mash of cliched, stereotypical characters with a woman at the centre who seems to be suffering from verbal diahorrea.

This was actually really good, though I do agree with another reviewer as to the repetitiveness in the book. We get it Theron, you really disliked the fake Cassiopeia, after mentioning it once or maybe twice, trust me...we get it. No need to repeat it over and over again.

Despite that little flaw, this was a really interesting read, it really engaged me from the first page, what with Cassidy stomping into the church in her cowgirl getup, stopping the wedding..lol. It was a funny scene, though I could have done without Theron's long ass internal monologue.

In any case Cassidy's character was fucking fabulous, she really was a firecracker inside a small ass package. She didn't take shit from anyone and had awesome friends to back her up. Theron was cool, albeit a bit misguided about the Cassiopeia situation until he actually opened his eyes and realized the truth. Aside from the many internal monologues, the one thing I disliked about him, was his quick assumptions about people, negative assumptions at that. Which was really hypocritical of him as he, himself, had a rough upbringing and worked really hard to become the success he was. So to view others in such a negative light really did detract from his otherwise sweet and smart persona.

Overall it was a great read with extremely colorful characters, both good and bad. My first read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to picking up more of her work.

This was a fabulous romance with a strong heroine and drool-worthy hero. There are scenes in this book that are laugh-out-loud funny, and other scenes that are caring, steamy, intriguing, and much more. It's definitely a page turner! I absolutely love the heroine- she is a feisty gal who is more than willing to fight for the ones she loves. The author does a great job of weaving in backstory to make us root for and understand the motivations of each character. I believe this is the first book of a planned series, and the foundation was already built for a future hero (and based on what I read in this book, I can't WAIT for his story!)
I look forward to reading more by this author.

I loved this oh so strong heroine.. This story starts out with a woweeee and ends with such gentle sweetness... The fireworks that occur between the hero and heroine are so spot on... If you love contemporary romance..especially with a powerful alpha billionaire and an independent strong heroine.. This book is the one for you.. Hot love scenes help you understand the connection between the characters.. Not erotic at all.. Liberty Blake has excelled with this book...Give this book a go you will not be disappointed

Bit of a let down. Fantastic premise but does not live up to the brilliant first line. I was really looking forward to reading about the impostor bride and the fight by the real Cassiopeia to prevent the wedding but it was such a let down. Theron was difficult to like and was a bit of a bully and although Cassidy was a good character there was no real depth. A multitude of additional characters it was hard to get to know and a predictable plot did not help. The ending was also far too abrupt after a whole chapter leading up to their reconciliation. 2 stars for the occasional LOL moment.

Really bad.

It opens with a good line, the h saying "Stop the wedding!" She's just entered a church in Greece. Then we have to read pages about her appearance and how this gets the H, standing at the altar with the imposter bride, hard. Pages of his backstory. Pages of the h rambling on about why she's dressed casually and why she's late. You keep thinking "when are they going to get on with this scene?" Then there are some heated words with the h's parents about their setting up her cousin to impersonate her. Then we have pages of her backstory. I was totally fed by this point, well into chapter 2. Then there is the heroine, a simple, big hearted Texas gal who is just plain cardboard. The H is not any more complex. DNF. If you're interested, be sure to try the sample first.

I loved this book! Cassidy is my favorite kind of heroine: tough and sassy on the outside with a soft inner core full of vulnerability on the inside. In Theron, the Greek billionaire marrying the wrong bride, Cass has met her match. Liberty Blake creates a story full of twists and turns. I would have loved to see a little more development between Cassidy and her mom, but I hope when we revisit these fabulous characters (Ajax has a secret bride?!), we'll see more there. A nearly flawless tale told with spirit, wit, and lots of charm.

I wanted to like this book, because it was free, and the reviews and description sounded promising. Unfortunately, I couldn't get more than a few pages in before it became no more than a poorly veiled attempt at written porn. Life's too short to waste time reading trash. I will be deleting this book, and avoiding everything by this author in the future. Such a disappointment.

This was a great read. It was great that she was a strong woman even though she was still a little naive. My only issue with him is the way he assumes she will just go along with whatever it is he wants. He doesn't force her or anything of the sort, but he just seemed a bit pushy to me. That being said, I was in tears at the end. What a fully wonderful read.

This was the first book I read by Liberty Blake. I must say I loved it. I really felt for Cassidy and her fight. I love a book that can make me feel the emotions of the characters in the story and this one did just that.

Incredible story

Ms. Blake is a master storyteller. The characters were strong and the writing impeccable. I cried, laughed, and was angry. Cassidy and Theron will carve out room in your heart for another awesome book couple. I highly recommend this book.

Has a strong harlequin (Mills & Boone) feeling. Started off fun - a crazy premise, but the heroine's kick-ass attitude was fun. Though she's a bit too perfect. Ugh.

But about 50% it started crashing. First the heroine's personality makes an about-face. And the heroine's and her son's back stories go overboard. Way crazy and over the top.

Then the author describes the hero's internal thoughts about kissing - he didn't like kissing: "That whole butt fat idea always made him nauseous.". Wtf???? Here's a Greek businessman who speaks phrases in Greek - "whole butt fat idea"???? Where the heck did that come from?

Also, there are several inconsistencies in the story:

Like 2 different people

This book started off really well. Then it got weird. The main female character is Cassidy(or also Cassiopeia). She is small but strong and can take care of herself. She has idiots for parents. Her father refused to acknowledge her, so her mother abandoned her so that she could stay with the rich jerk. So Cassidy was raised by her grandmother. Her grandmother loved her and tried to protect her, but there were a bunch of mean idiots who lived in their town in Massachusettes. The mother and father live in (he is Greek).and they never got married, she was his mistress. What I find hard to believe, is that her mother(Kelly), never ever came to visit her mother and never met her daughter. Cassidy is very fiery and dynamic. She meets Theron when she tries to stop his wedding to her cousin, who is pretending to be her. He likes her right away and believes that she is the real Cassiapia. This is where is falls apart, bad things happen(kidnapping, drugged and almost raped. But Theron somehow manages to find her and rescue her. When she finally wakes up, she is completely different. She has completely forgotten about her responsibilities(owns a bar and a therapeutic ranch) or even the friends who might be worried about her. Her personality was completely different. The rest of the book felt rushed.

1 star, and that's only because I have to give a rating.

Wow. I got as far as the first sentence in the second chapter. Yes, it was that bad. The whole opening scene/chapter was a complete mess and obviously a stepping stone into make this one of the worst porns that try to pretend they're not porn out there.

So. Many. Names. I'm already confused and the first chapter only has about 4 characters introduced. The heroine is annoying with a rotten attitude and the hero is an ass. I struggled to get through that first chapter and I was planning on making it to chapter 3 before throwing in the towel but I'm not about to waste my time on this nonsense.

The only good thing about this book is the premise. I wish this author was a better writer so that the premise and plot could be well developed and enjoyable. She is not. A proof reader and editor are desperately needed. It reads like a first attempt at writing by a child who thinks they are able to cater to an adult audience.

I just have one question: How many variations of purple are there in the colour spectrum? I ask because the h's eyes have already been described as "purple" and "violet" and I only got to the 4% mark. Are purple eyes even natural?

I got this as a free deal and I still think it was way too expensive.

This was a great book. It starts with Cassidy stopping a wedding because the bride says she is Cassiopeia Dolmides. But that can't be because that is who Cassidy is.

Cassidy was a day old when she was sent to live with Grammie. Cassidy had a good life. She was dearly loved and had a good friend who looked after her. Everything was great until her Aunt and Uncle moved in with them when she was a teen. Then the uncle kept trying to seduce her so she ran away after Grammie died.

Cassidy owned a ranch as well as a bar in Texas, where she never put up with anything from the customers. I loved that she was a strong, independent woman. When she learns that a wedding is taking place in Greece and she is the bride, she heads there to stop it. When she gets there, she finds her cousin pretending to be her so that she can marry billionaire Theron Christofides. Turns out that the wedding was part of a business deal.

This book had me hoping for the couple to fall in love but wondering how that could happen when Theron was so sure Cassidy was the imposter. Then it had me laughing, too.

This is an adventure you shouldn't miss.

Talk about finding love at first sight when you least expect it. Yes, I think I will one, please. (smile and blush)

When Cassidy went to stop someone from trying to get married using her identity, she never expected to find what she did. A handsome stranger, even more family betrayal, and someone who makes her heart do cartwheels. The fact that her mom and dad decided to believe someone else is their daughter shouldn't have bothered her but old wounds die hard. Theron was about to marry a woman, someone he had no desire to marry and really couldn't stand to be around, that would change the course of his life forever to save his city. so when this strange woman walks in and takes his breath away before he even sees her. Hope shows his face and lust makes him hope that she's telling the truth because the new comer has his attention a lot more then his soon to be bride.

Dangers lurk, secret identities are revealed, troubled past are brought to the light and love blossoms for the world to see.
Two very different people from, different sides of the world come together to make Love seems possible for us all.

This book has an awesome story line that will have you in stitches one minute and tears the next. Cassidy has had a rough go at life and is surprised that she's managed to make it out, not only alive, but thriving. She's a bit of a firecracker, both in appearance and character, and thinks nothing of lighting a fire or two when it's needed. There aren't many who don't respect her and some that are even frightened when she gets all riled up. Theron is a self made multi-billionaire who "has it all". Or has he? He starts to question just what it is he does or doesn't have the moment he lays eyes on the red-haired sprite that has stopped his wedding. Will these two be able to fight their mutual attraction, or will someone's lies and evil plans throw them together?
A great read! This is the first from this author that I have read, and I hope to be able to read more from her in the future.

A very interesting plot, quite well implemented, and with sympathetic and likeable protagonists (apart from Theron, did not like him at all at first). Considering the way the story unfolded, the characters were even quite realistic, and their interactions plausible for the most part, and at stages downright hilarious. However, the story itself had sort of gaps, where events jumped too quickly for my liking from one extreme to the other (the kidnapping for instance). Some things were never explained adequately in my opinion, and I still don't know if at the end that contract was signed or not? Did I miss something.
Overall though, a quite enjoyable story with quirks and unexpected twists, and not too many grammar or spelling errors.

I’ve read somewhere that I shoul read a book from the bottom of my reading list to shake up my usual routine. So I started reading this book as this book as the one that was waiting quite a long time to be read. Turns out, with a reason… This was an average read with great premise but a disappointing execution. The story was hard to believe and the characters turned out to be one dimensional. Heroine was almost superhuman, hero was ott possessive, the villains to vile, everything was just too much…. Too bad because I was ready to like this book, but the beginning was too confusing, and the rest simply over the top, and that is coming from someone who usually enjoys ott stories and characters…. I’m sorry to say I won’t be picking up rest of this series.

90% blah blah blah and 10% plot

Readers get no backstory until page 153, which is about half way through the novel. Until then, readers only get narrated assumptions, judgments and sexual thoughts. The plot has lots of holes and disconnects, things that make NO sense given the way the characters are written, and beyond that the plot is predictable. The family issues are resolved too neatly for being as huge and messy as they are. So there is NO emotional resolution, or understanding even, for the reader for all the horrific things Cassidy has been through. There was an opportunity to enrich the plot with some corporate intrigue, but that too is completely missing

I really liked this book, the characters were fun. Cassidy was a very strong caring character, she was raised by her Grandmother, took care of herself and married her good friend she referred to as brother so she could raise his infant son right before he died. Theron, Multi-Billionaire is trying to save an island and save a company by marrying who he thinks is Cassidy, who he doesn't want. Cassidy comes to the church in Greece and stops the marriage. Theron is immediately captivated by her and her claims to be the person he is to be marrying that day. This is a fun light read and the 2nd book about Ajax looks to be good also.

My first read by Liberty Blake and what a wonderful, emotionally satisfying, riveting read it was! I was instantly captivated from the opening scene with our main character, Cassidy, derailing an oh so elegant upscale wedding in Greece, and the colorful description of her attire from her stetson down to her cowboy boots. This book had me crying one minute, laughing the next, and angrily cursing certain characters out loud. I've cleared a permanent space on my favorites shelf for this book and I strongly recommend it to all fans of great storytelling featuring unforgettable characters!
