Luke, an American exchange student studying abroad in Ireland, ignored his roommates when they told him to put back the gold coin he found in the garden. They warned him about what would happen if he kept the leprechaun gold. He might wonder if maybe he should have listened to them when a sexy, kilt-wearing leprechaun shows up that night to claim the last of the coins from his scattered pot of gold.

Caitlin was fortunate growing up to be surrounded by family and teachers that encouraged her love of reading. She has always been a voracious reader and that love of the written word easily morphed into a passion for writing. If she isn't writing, she can usually be found studying as she works toward her counseling degree. She comes from a military family and the men and women of the armed forces are close to her heart. She also enjoys gardening and horseback riding in the Colorado Rockies where she calls home with her wonderful fiance and their dog. Her belief that there is no one true path to happily ever after runs deeply through all of her stories.

Back in March I reviewed this book. Back then this was a very short story, fairly magical and with a hint of mischief as the leprechaun Arn tricks human Luke into giving him his last lost coin back. But the trick was on him as he fell in love with the human and thus being forced to choose his immortality in the Fae Realm or a mortal life with his beloved. Yeah, guess what Arn chose.

In this revised and re-edited version we read all the above in a text much easier in our eyes, but with some additional scenes. Unfortunately, while the addition had quite an interesting aspect, I can’t help but feel that the length of the story was too short for proper development. As fun as the pair is and as romantic the idea of Arn leaving it all behind for his beloved, it was marred by a hasty change and twist of events that for me they simply felt as too much.

The initial text was already pushing those boundaries but this one just went overboard for me, and it left with more questions than before. As the story reached its end I’m thinking “what’s next” and “how did that worked” and many, many more.

Bottom end I’d rather have the prior short with the revision and the one additional scene where both men take things to Arn’s place, without the final visit from Arn’s Mother. However, if you haven’t read this before and if you don’t mind magic and romance overwhelming credibility, this is a nice and fun short read.

This is a really cute short story about Luke, an American student in Ireland. As he is working in the garden one day, he finds a gold coin. He polishes it up and when his Irish roommates see it, the back away and tell him to put it back because the Leprechaun will be looking for it and bad things can happen if he doesn’t find all of his gold coins. Luke laughs it off and keeps the gold coin by his bedside. Lo and behold Luke is visited by the leprechaun that night and he definitely wants his gold back. Arn offers Luke “anything” in exchange for the coin. When Luke makes a quite unusual request of Arn, he obliges. Luke thinks he’s dreamed up the man and he really enjoys their time together. Arn does as well and leaves the coin so that he can return to visit Luke again. Arn returns to the Fae realm where he is met by a guardian and taken to his mother – the Fae queen. She is not happy with Arn and his idea of taking up with a human. She offers him a very difficult choice that will allow him to see Luke again, but in a very different guise.

The Fae part of the story didn’t work for me as well as the interactions between Luke and Arn. I like both characters and appreciated the little twists and turns of the story. Of course it’s a bit insta-lovey, but hey, it’s magic ;)

Arn is in search of his lost treasure and the last piece falls into the hands of a college student named Luke. Arn can't take the treasure Luke has claimed so Arn must fulfill Luke's wish to make love. Luke is an American college student finishing school in Ireland. Luke finds himself attracted to one of his roommates mostly because of the sexy Irish accent. Luke's heart is quickly changed after a night with the Leprechaun Arn.

Cailtin Ricci gives us a quick and cute read that is perfect for the St. Patrick's day spirit. The story is fast and the love even quicker as we are taken to a world of magic and one hopeful college student.

I recommend this story to anyone who loves a quick love story in the hopes of waiting to find true love.

Luke is an American exchange student in Ireland. He finds a coin in his gardens and is warned by his roommates to be careful of keeping leprechaun gold but he doesn’t pay them any mind. He doesn’t believe in leprechauns but can a vivid dream change that?
This was a very cute happy short story that put a smile on my face. As in most really short stories there isn’t a lot of character development and I would have loved to know Luke and his roomies all better. The plot those were both funny and fast. The only issue I had with it was the time between Fae world and the real world confused me just a little. But over all I loved it!
Recommendations: If you like magic, leprechauns, folklore, and a short fun read sure to make you smile try this one!

Choices...choices...choices.

This story is cute and fun and playfully sexy. Luke is an innocent exchange student who finds something that changes everything. This tale is amusing with just a wee helping of kinky as Arn makes some choices on the fly after meeting Luke and reaps the consequences. Downside, double telling of a incident that's not exciting enough to warrant retelling. Undoubtedly, more enjoyable with a few green beers.

Favorite quote:
"On the other hand, the sex last night must have been pretty great for him to want to keep you around."

This is a wonderfully inventive take on male/male fiction. I loved every word of this fast paced sexy story that reads like a fairy tale. The writing is smooth and the characters are supremely likable. This is a must read.

It started out cute but this book came too close to equating "make love" to slow f*ck. It just turned me off. The professor recounting what happened a few pages before----in a 36 page book moved the rating from bad to worse.
