So I feel a little guilty for the review I'm about to give, since I got this as a freebie in exchange for a review. However, the review is supposed to be honest, so here goes.
This is a terrible book. First and foremost it is crying out for a decent editor. The punctuation and grammar is horrifying. Also, when characters start speaking another language (which, side note, you may wanna trim so that the reader doesn't feel the need to google translate the page) it really should be italicised. Let's start with the positive aspects:
- beautiful cover
- intriguing prologue
- it was free

Now for the negative aspects:
- very slow moving plot that doesn't actually get anywhere by the end of the book: Natalie goes to school, Natalie goes to a meeting for her summer internship, Natalie goes home, Natalie goes back to school and starts her internship.
- Lack of descriptions. Narration is bland (see previous bullet point, it runs pretty much like that) and characters just tell you what they're think

Can't wait for Part Two!!! Element Part one was an amazing story it had romance, suspense, wit and humor.

The book starts off introducing us to Natalie Vega. She is a smart, funny, and lovely girl who recently has gone through a tough time in her life. She offers to be a test patient for several vitamins and supplements created by Kronberg Laboratories, a large pharmaceutical company where she interns at. Her best-friend Lise also is interning there so they really excited to start working. Then

So good.....

The author gets you going in the story and you find yourself having to FORCE yourself to stop reading long enough to use the restroom or get a drink. A wonderful whirlwind of emotions went through my mind while reading this...I felt for Natalie, I hoped for her, I ran with her. This is the type of writing you find in one of CM Doporto's books/stories. You do not want to put it down...

What do you get when you combine two horny rabbits, a terribly selfish sidekick, experimental vitamins and a story that seems to make no progress? You get this book. There were times I was more than ready to quit this book, but I thought the story would pick up and go somewhere.

It seems like those ebook freebies are hit or miss. Usually miss. It seems there are very few that can impress me just as much as one of my favorite series. Element was not one of those books. Every so often I find a boo

This book was just O.K. Not great, but ok.

The first 3/4 of the book or so read very much like a Spanish Soap Opera, which I didn't particularly care for. The reactions each character had were very dramatic and emotional, and not very realistic (especially the main character, Natalie). Each scene gave a clear picture of overly dramatic people, and picturing it as anything but a Soap was very difficult...

The writing was not realistic at all- the dialogue was some-what cheesy, and irritating, and

AHHHHH!!!! The book ended on a cliffhanger and I am very frustrated! It was such a pivotal moment and I don’t have a lot of patience. LOL!

Now that I have it out of my system, on to the review.

Natalie is attending college while working to get over her most recently failed relationship. She and her best friend Lise will be interning at Kronberg Laboratories.

While taking supplements from Kronberg, Natalie becomes obsessed with working out. Her body is going throug

I was offered this book in exchange for a honest review.

So here goes... this book could have done with some serious editing before being published. The plot of the story which I originally found interesting... vitamin pills which change Nat into the elements... was completely lost under crazily forced attraction, constant moaning about getting her heart broken and cregular attempts by the author to remind us that you must not have sex before marriage or you're going to hell. I kept forgetting we

I read this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was odd to say the least. Poorly written romance with little sci-fi made for a disappointing read. I chose to read this book because of its alleged sci-fi storyline. That was barely mentioned in the book. Instead a confusing romance was detailed. I applaud the author's desire to write about college kids that are abstinent, but why add so many creepy sensual details? It made for an uncomfortable juxtaposition. I would not read the next

Have you ever wished having superhuman powers... But I may regret it.

Being a paranormal romance & fantasy author, I like to read other authors to learn how they are able to spin out great stories and entertain readers. When I was browsing through the paranormal & fantasy genre, I noticed that this book with its distinctively cover.

Although this book has many reviews, but there does not mean this is a great story. One thing to determine is the author construct the sentences, scenes, dialogues bet

I immediately got involved in this...and then very quickly I felt it slowed down far too much and I struggled to read the 75% that made up the middle of the book.

I personally found the characters undeveloped and did not believe they would react / speak the way they did.

I did not understand what drew the two couples together. All I could tell was they thought each other were 'hot' (never read that word so many times before) and then suddenl

This story starts off with a bang. Natalie has been through some things - and from the sounds of it, she's not ready to talk about it!

Instantly jumping into her internship, she's at a vitamin company and decides to offer herself up as a guinea pig for the new vitamins.

But these vitamins aren't like normal vitamins and nothig is the same after!

The story really does start off pretty quick. You don't get a lot of intro with the characters, but luckily there aren't too many to keep track of.

This novella has a wonderful paranormal romance story line. I thought the story was interesting and fun and the characters were easy to relate to and understand. Ryan and Natalie were sweet, likable characters who were greatly surprised by the paranormal elements that were about to enter their lives. The author did an excellent job of foreshadowing what paranormal elements were later going to surface for the couple as she writes the story of Ryan and Natalie's early courtship. The amazing thing is that to go with this amazing cover, you not only get an amazing story line, you also get an amazing character build in many characters.
This story takes you to a whole new environment, you never get to have an amazing story that invites you to a new view on everything. There is so much and you never know what to expect.
You are always wondering what is going on during this book because it is never what you expect! You think it's one thing and then it is another! I loved this

I liked this book! :) As you may or may not know, I have a weakness for books/movies about people with elemental powers, so this one belongs on that list too. It wasn't the best ever and sometimes the romance between Ryan and Natalie seemed a bit... rushed. It almost is one of those instant-love thingies you often read in books nowadays. And I'm not really a fan of that. But overall this was a fun book and I liked it. I really did. And I would read the sequel because I want to know what

This book was hard to put down. I felt I could connect with many of the characters and love Natalie's character. Doporto makes her characters as human as possible, flaws and all...and you feel that throughout the story. This book is a great relief in YA writing as it does not contain lots of sex and filthy language. Doporto demonstrates that a great plot does not need those variables in order to keep the reader wanting more. It was a great read and cannot wait until Part 2! ...more

The idea is glorious but it isn't properly developed. I thought it was about a girl changing into something, but the whole story revolved around this girl and this boy falling in love?..... besides that, I liked the writing style of this author, very simple and easy to read. AND I REALLY want to know how Ryan will react.

Book Review- Element Part 1 by C.M. Doporto

This story introduces the character, Natalie Vega. She is a college student, taking summer classes and interning at Kronberg Laboratories in the lab. This presents a chance to move on from the near-death experience she had and her heartbreak. However, the author decides to make things complicated when Natalie comes face to face with Ryan. He is a blast from the past, as they went to high school together. Add a constant urge to exercise, dizzy spells, an
I wish, i can say something great about this novel but i can't. This is piece of shit.
At the beginning of the novel starts out as potentially interesting; she's interning at a lab and popping some secret recipe pills on the side from the said lab. After that i really want to say more.. oh how cares.

Hot, and sexy boy comes in and instant-like for her but its her crush from high school. Boring!

I really don't care of the main character at all either. Next on this was the waiting for marriage befo

I had mixed feelings about this novella. First, the book is first and foremost a Young Adult Romance and SciFi is a far second. Most of the story revolves around the budding relationship of Natalie and Ryan. While I was definitely engaged in their romance and I was enthralled by their plight, I think I was expecting a little more freaky stuff.

That being said, I suspect the next part in the series will have a great deal more freaky stuff. Sadly, like many of the novellas I've read, especially one
The impressive things about the book were the:
a) Cover - looked cool enough..
c)The idea

What I pretty much got annoyed with was the fact that she was so emotional(I mean she practically lost control with Ryan in an instance. I mean not that i'm against it, it's just that it was too much. Though I adore Ryan's wait till marriage thing. Not many guys would do that.)and helpless and why couldn't she have just to

Loved this unique sci-fi romance. It felt a little like a paranormal sci -fi, but think it is supposed to just be sci-fi.

I loved Ryan, a lot, he is like the perfect guy, and unrealistic as I do not think you will find anyone, ever like him. He is too perfect, lol, but it’s ok, I still loved him, great one to have a fantasy about. Lol.

I liked Natalie too, she was really down to earth, and easy to like. She handled her changes pretty well too. Won’t get into that much, trying to keep this spoiler
