USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author Rita Herron fell in love with books at the ripe age of eight when she read her first Trixie Belden mystery. But she didn’t think real people grew up to be writers, so she became a teacher instead. Now she writes so she doesn’t have to get a real job.
With over ninety books to her credit, she’s penned romantic suspense, romantic comedy and YA novels, but she especially likes writing dark romantic suspense and crime fiction set in small southern towns.

All of the stories are dated, but most are ok if you read them with that in mind. The first book was cute. The second book was somewhat painful in how long it took her to tell the truth, and the third book was good but not very kind to gay people. It was also a bit far fetched and just never really pulled me in. I’d read more by this author because it’s a nice easy read. Fun but not one of those books you can’t put down.

Oh what fun these books are! First you have a woman who is taking a class on how to get a husband. She meets a real player and falls for him. Now can he give up his bachelor status or does she need to keep hunting? The second book has a twin switch. Always having fun sister trades with serious sister to play a fake fiancée for a weekend. Loved the quirky family and how everything just keeps snowballing. Yup they wind up getting married before he even figures out the switcheroo. The third book was my favorite. Imagine a reporter who will do anything to get the scoop on the good doctor. Her new book about sex is out and her sorta husband has run off so she needs a pretend husband to help her promote her new book. Now she doesn't know the guy playing her husband isn't an actor but is the reporter who is determined to get the scoop and destroy her. Love how this story unfolds and how the two main characters still ed up coming together.

Summary

The stories were okay. Drawn out too much. It definitely left you wondering if you would ever get to the end.
