A hired-hand holds back her improper emotions, a son struggles with honoring an old arrangement, & a desperate father is compelled to make new arrangements of his own. Maybe doing the noble thing is not always the right thing...
A historical romance short/novella set in the Great Plains.
There seems to be a little annoying gackle of girls who are extremely jealous of Fan Fiction authors who pull their stories to publish. The truth of the matter is...TWILIGHT FAN FICTION IS AMAZING and if these authors can make a buck I think they should!!
I didn't read Plain Arrangement as a Fan Fiction - (but I have read the author's other stories and they are just as good). I purchased Plain Arrangement and I am glad I did!
This book isn't long, but it's compelling and enjoyable. I found myself more than once at work wishing it was break time and I could read what happens. The story is sweet and not unbelievable and I suggest you read it for yourself. I think you will be glad you did.
Being a previous Fan Fiction USUALLY guarantees that story will be better than you expect!
This is a fantastic short period piece story. Unlike a lot of other short stories, this one doesn't feel rushed and gives you a full taste even though it's just a little bite. For 99 cents, it's a steal of a deal. Can't wait for more from this author.
Elizabeth, a young woman from an abusive home environment takes a position in a widower's home as hired help. His adult son, Nathan tries to catch her attention but she doesn't get it although they both are interested in each other. His father makes arrangements to finally bring them together and then finds his own love with her sister in Plain Arrangement ~ Simple Life, Simple Love. I love the humor and irony of the situation.
I read this book in one sitting and absolutely loved it. This author is a very gifted writer and I hope she will release more work soon. The love story between Nathan and Elizabeth is beautifully told and offers hope in the midst of hard places. I like that the story was sensual but sweet. There weren't any graphic scenes but the author wasn't shy to allude to intimacy within the confines of marriage - she straddled that line very well and I really appreciated that. I highly recommend this novella and greatly look forward to her future releases.
