I loved this story. Roxanne pulled me right into this story. The emotions she felt pulled at my heartstrings. Roxanne received some really bad news right before her sister’s wedding. She didn’t have time for a meltdown, or to take time out for the grief she felt. For Roxanne was one of her sister’s bridesmaids. She put on a smile, and brave front and tried to act happy. She didn’t want to ruin one of the best days of her sisters life.
Greg was her date for her sister’s wedding. She had never met him before. Greg saw through the act, and wanted to make Roxanne happy. He also wanted to get to know her better. I love how the story was slow and sweet. It allowed time for a friendship and trust to build. Greg, and Roxanne seemed to have an instant connection. She trusted Greg with her news, and shared it with him, when she felt she couldn’t turn to anyone else. The romance was very sweet.
I loved the culture, and travel in this story. My husband spent a year in Iraq. It was nice read about a family that lived there, and their cultures. It is heart breaking to read what war has done to one country, and how it effects everyone. I knew the heartbreaking stories my husband told me from serving in the Army. His stories didn’t give me a face, they were just stories. Reading this book was almost like I knew the family, and my heart went out to them.
Roxanne Ramsey has a career she loves as a reporter seeking out international stories, but will unexpected complications send her life in a different direction?
The story opens with Roxanne attending her sister's wedding as a bridesmaid, but Rosanne's just discovered she's pregnant and the father has been killed in Iraq. One of the bridegrooms, Greg, reaches out to Roxy with a kind, caring hand and she embraces his offer. Over the course of several weeks, they grow close, but Roxy is concerned Greg will never want her because of her condition. Both Roxy and Greg have emotional issues to overcome, but are they insurmountable?
Risk pens a highly entertaining and emotional story with "Valentine Babies." Her writing is easy to read (it always is) and it effortlessly wraps the reader around the story. The plot moves at a nice clip, not too fast or slow.
The journey the characters take is heartwarming. Roxy is at a crossroads with two paths in front of her. Which one will she take? Greg has an honest, noble heart, but possesses a fear of flying. Will that fear ruin his future?
The story is sweet for romance readers with Greg and Roxy sharing several kisses and tender embraces. Overall, "Valentine Babies," is an endearing story that makes one believe that the power of love can overcome anything. I highly recommend this story.
This is a sweet read. The heroine is at her sister's wedding just a day after finding out that her lover was killed. The last conversation with her lover ended badly and she is consumed by guilt as well as fearing she is pregnant. The best man, an ob/gyn notices her and is instantly attracted. He takes care of her that day, making it his mission to make her laugh. Once he figures out what is going on with her, he makes it his mission to take care of her. They are inseparable for the month after the wedding. This is a sweet story. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is sometimes the story didn't flow very well and felt stilted.
Sad to say that it was a pretty formulaic Mills & Boon style read, I suppose that the cover picture should've given this away to me.
A lot happened in the 110 pages, without much happening that's all I can say. If you're looking for a non taxing night time read to help you sleep then this is the one for you. No real depth to any of the characters at all.
Doctor falls for pregnant woman the end, summed up very quickly.
Old traditions and beliefs conflict with modern times, leave some with guilt and stress, especially with the tragic loss of a loved one. However, when a good man comes and becomes a friend, a really good friend. Can love find a way? Then when a surprise x2 comes along will it ruin everything? This is a sweet love story that you could read about in an afternoon. The characters are lovable and you want everyone to find the happiness they deserve. It was just an enjoyable story.
Roxanne discovers she is pregnant and the father has been killed. The Dr that examined her, Greg, decides he is going to step in as the doctor. I wish life were that simple! Loved the story line but their relationship never went beyond a quick kiss and now they are married?!? I really wish their relationship would have been expanded to make it more realistic. WaAR
This is the first book I read by Mona Risk. The storyline was okay. I was happy for Roxanne after she been through such a tragic event. The only problem I had is my Kindle copy had a few errors since it was free on Amazon I can't complain. Its a short story to read in your spare time.
Valentine Babies is a heartfelt story that clearly aims to blend romance, sacrifice, and the realities of life-changing decisions. The premise is strong and emotional, with a globe-spanning setting that takes you from the U.S. to war zones overseas, which adds weight and urgency to the story.
Roxanne is a compelling lead, fearless, driven, and flawed in very human ways. Her career as a reporter and the consequences of one pivotal mistake give the story its emotional core. Greg, with his fear of flying and steady devotion, is easy to root for, and his willingness to step up for the people he loves is genuinely touching.
That said, the pacing felt uneven at times. Some emotional moments could have been explored more deeply, while other sections moved too quickly, making it harder to fully connect with the characters and their relationship. The story has a lot of moving parts, and occasionally it felt like it was trying to do too much at once.
Overall, this is a sweet, emotional read with meaningful themes of love, courage, and commitment. While it didn’t fully pull me in as much as I’d hoped, it still has heart and will likely resonate with readers who enjoy romantic stories with dramatic, real-life stakes.
Enjoyed this sweet romance with twins! Clean story of Roxanne who has a brief relationship with multiple challenges and gets pregnant and finds true love. The twins are loved by Roxanne and her new man. The support of her family gives a great warmth to the story and makes you happy they found their happily ever after.
Roxanne is at her sister's wedding when she meets Grey. After hearing her troubles he tries to help. Well written story with strong and believable characters. Couldn't put the book down.

Great story line and great job writing, loved it. I finish reading both Christmas Babies and this one. I am currently researching more of her books to read. Thanks!
Not my kind of romance. I found it boring and not quite the kind of romance I like to read. I don't like death and war such things like that aren't very romantic
