Very helpful book with lots of examples and exercises.

This book covers a lot of material and is most helpful to an outright beginner. I was looking for a book on how to create a typeface, and this book dedicates the final ten pages to that...but in the most general terms. It does have value as a reference text, though, so not a complete loss. And it has great typogrphic exercises.
