A woman determined to spread the Christmas spirit...
Former socialite turned community centre worker Candice Kane loves Christmas. In the run down area she works in, economics and rising unemployment mean that there isn't a lot of Christmas spirit to go around. Determined to do something about it, for the last couple of years she's arranged a Christmas Party, complete with a visit from Santa for the neighbourhood kids. This year though, a break in and damage from vandals means the party could be cancelled...
A Santa who hates Christmas...
Rhod is... was a Santa. For years he joined the other men in his family delivering presents, until the attitude and ungratefulness of the rich children he delivered to made him hang up his red suit. Working for the Paranormal Protection Agency, he's convinced himself that he's happier without being the big guy anymore.
When he and his partner rescue Candy from an attack in a deserted alley, all Rhod's decisions are put to the test. Can he hold out against a woman with Christmas spirit in her heart, or will he lose his own in the process?

If you're looking for a quick, hot, sexy, paranormal Christmas romance with some naughty thrown in, Seduced by Santa is the book for you. Well-written, great plot-line, and awesome characters. A fantastic read!
Yes, I'm one of those! One of those people who read Christmas stories all year round and I've just finished reading 'Seduced by Santa', the fourth book in the Paranormal Protection Agency series by Mina Carter, one of my favourite authors. I'll confess, it's not the first time I've read it, or the second, or even the tenth, in fact I've lost count of how many times I've read this terrific short about Christmas Elf Rhod Claus and his mate, Candy Kane since I bought the volume one box about two and a half years ago. I also have a stand alone copy I bought this year. I love this short, sweet, very steamy paranormal romance about two people who find each other in less than ideal circumstances and find their happily ever after. Full of humour and Christmas spirit, it has the feel-good factor in spades and always leaves me with a smile on my face. I love it.
And you thought Santa's little elves were pointy eared cute and little. Nope they are red blooded pieces of man hunk and there is nothing little about these elves.
Rhod Claus has sworn off his heritage for that one night every year and nothing can change his mind. All he wants to do is work for Paranormal Protection Agency and pretend he is not who he really is. Until he finds a wounded and luscious Candice Kane Candy for short, in a dark alley that is...And there's nothing the big guy likes more than licking up a Candy Kane.
Dashing through the snow, with one hot Santa on your trail......
This is the first book I've read by this author. I usually don't bother with short stories as I find them to fast and underdeveloped for my liking but I got it as a freebie and I'm always interested in trying new author to me. I really liked the authors writing style but the length of the book is my issue. I checked out the others in this series and they are all are very short as well, round approx. 50 pages (some have more, some have less)! That's disappointing and I wont be paying $3.99 for 34 pages, sorry. I liked this story though and it could have been great if it was more developed. A quick easy read and interesting topic as I've not read about Christmas elves before. I liked the take on Santa. If you don't mind your stories really short then this one is perfect for you.
Candice, a.k.a. Candy Kane is not in the Christmas spirit. Her business has been robbed which robs the neighborhood children of their annual Christmas party. No party means no Santa. No Santa means no presents for the kids. Which means a big frown face for Candy. If that wasn't bad enough, Candy gets attacked in an alley by some delinquents. Luckily she gets rescued by good samaritans Stone (werewolf) and Rhod (Christmas elf). From the moment he sees Candy Rhode is hooked. He goes out of his way to fight off the thugs that attacked Candy. He makes sure she gets medical attention and gets her home safely. Rhod is no regular elf. He is a member of the Claus clan. But Rhod hung up the suit a long time ago. But after getting together with Candy he gets the urge to suit once again.
This wasn’t terrible. It is a short story and I do wish it was longer. I did appreciate this for being a different type of Xmas story. The two books I read before this were the same darn premise of “knew each other as kids now they finally get to take a chance”, snore. So again I appreciated the “different” of this story. Again I do wish it would have been longer and a reader could have gotten more detail of characters.
One of my beefs with this story is that at one point Candy gets a concussion and after returning from the hospital the two characters have vigorous sex. What?! Didn’t she have a concussion? Personally I’ve never had one thankfully, but I’m not sure I would be up for intercourse if it was the case. The other problem with this story is there is poor to no obvious scene changes, your just abruptly reading another scene with other characters or in a different place. It made the story hard to follow at times.
The next one is called Santa’s Naughty List and is Cole’s story. I would read this, but it’s not in Kindle Unlimited and I am not paying for it on top of what I pay for KU.
This is the story of Rhod, who once a year at christmas if he put's the magical belt on he becomes Santa and I mean he actually becomes Santa, big belly and white beard, the works.
Rhod Claus doesn't want to have anything to do with this anymore and wants a life of his own, he now works in the Paranormal Protection Agency as a bodyguard with his partner Stone who is a werewolf.
When they meet up with Candy Kane who was being attacked trying to save the chapel at Christmastime.
This was a brilliant Christmas short story by Mina Carter, how Socialite Candy Kane decided to break from her family upbringing to help the underprivileged and how Rhod Claus was able to get his Christmas Spirit back by the enjoyment and love together.
First let me state that I believe this series should be read in order before reading this novella. It may help set the scene in a world where paranormals have "come out" and reveled their existence to the world. Reading the previous books will help set the scene.
That being said, I found Seduced by Santa to be well written and very sweet. I would have liked to have seen more build up to their relationship though. One has to wonder about what type of woman lets a man practically move in within days of their meeting. However, their attraction was instant, so I guess that's something.
I would definitely recommend if you like short, sweet romances with a bit of heat to them.
5 stars for story but 3 stars for value for money. Whilst I love this authors books, the low star rating is purely because of the cost of so few pages. A good short read that starts with poor Candy having a really bad day. Burglary, mugging and being saved. But to be saved by Rhod and Stone, oh yeah. I could sympathise with Rhod about the over privileged children putting him off Christmas and it was fun to see him learn what the spirit of the season was really about at the centre. A wonderful Christmas story but I would not have had the epilogue 3 years later 1 would have been enough. Buy the volume sets for better value for money.
I was looking for a Christmas book to read and I just happened to receive this little gem for free. I'm not a huge fan of short stories, but because this story was a new genre for me, I thought it was perfect. I love erotic romance, but not so much paranormal Romance; and it never occurred to me that Santa was a paranormal figure, but it makes sense, lol. I loved this book! Sexy and Santa are perfection together!! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I wanted to hear more of their story togsther !!!! It's a lot of love and sex in a little package. And it opened my imagination up to check out more paranormal romance!! Great little Christmas bedtime "snack"!!
Candace “Candy” Kane wanted to have a fun Christmas party for the kids but one stupid jerk took that away. She wasn’t sure if the kids from Chapel would get to see one this year or even see Santa. Rhod Claus didn’t want anything to do with Christmas. Ok, yes his last name is Claus and he was a main bloodline with Claus but still. I guess he needs to incentive to get him into the holiday spirit.
I thought this one was so cute. It kind of gave you that “It’s a Wonderful Life” feel. Rhod turning his back on being Santa and Candy trying to show him what it is all about. There still is hot and steamy sex. How can you not have that but this was sweet.
Starting with the conflict, this cute story will have you hooked and grinning before you finish the first chapter. I loved the characters and the magical Christmassy feelings that it gives you. The sexy scenes are hot and detailed. It was a lovely quick read!
This is a wonderful story of rediscovering the Christmas spirit. Rhod Claus was tired of delivering to undeserving rich kids with their attitudes, where had the love of Christmas gone? Candice Cane loves Christmas her - center provides Christmas gifts and a hot meal to the families in the neighborhood hit hard by unemployment.
What an adorable little story, perfect for the holiday season. I love this new take on Santa Claus! Especially the way he rescues his girl and finds the true value in his family history. Candy is such a kind and generous soul, I love that she was able to find her perfect mate and reach her HEA. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
I got this book for an honest review. It captivated me from beginning to end. The sexual part, oh my, was just awesome!! Great story ,characters. Looking forward to reading more of your books.
What a fun holiday read for someone like me who loves this genre! It was short, sweet, and steamy. Perfect for the season. On the very first introduction to Candy, I didn’t like her because of her profanity, using the EF word, though she doesn’t use it again and it WAS a heartbreaking and frustrating moment for her. I didn’t really like Rhod either, since he selfishly gave up his calling to be Santa. But what I liked, a lot, was that the two of them met when Rhod rescued her from being attacked, he took her to the emergency room, and then to her home. I liked that they were instantly attracted to each other. And I liked the spicy moments between them which happened before the 3rd chapter, and again and again, unlike so many other authors who save the spice until the very end and then its one and done for the readers. I liked that they were the "end game" for each other, like fated mates. I liked that their steamy relationship didn't get in the way of each of their calling to be serving and giving to humanity especially at Christmas time. I also liked the idea that there are a lot of Clauses, all from the same family, who serve as Santa once a year. It was also a happily ever after ending. This book was my introduction to the PPA series, AND to Mina Carter. I plan to read more of her work.
I found this an interesting world but would have enjoyed it if it were a little bit longer. Paranormal is 'out' and it just so happens that Candy gets rescued by some paranormals. Candy is leaving the community centre she has brought to life with lots of hard work but to find herself held at knifepoint and about to be mugged. Luckily, her cry for help is heard by two bodyguard from the Paranormal Protection Agency who save her from the men and take her to the hospital. Rhod Claus is one of the people who saves her and steps in to watch her for the night when the hospital says she may have a concussion and asks if her 'boyfriend' would be alright with that. The two have a hotly passionate night together and begin a relationship.
I enjoyed that though the two are together rather immediately, it is as a relationship, not as a married or mated couple. There is an impression that the two have a starting point to what can be a long lasting relationship. They also work well together because Rhod gets to have a reminder of what being a Claus can mean by spending time with Candy, and Candy gets to be with someone who respects her for leaving the life she once had. They compliment each other and it makes for a cute story.
Rhod Claus is a winter elf who basically turns into Santa Claus once a year on Christmas, but is so fed up with spoiled and entitled kids that he's boycotted the holiday and his responsibilities. He and Stone rescue Candy Kane from some thugs. She's having a rough Christmas because someone stole all her money for her charity Christmas party and now she doesn't have a Santa. She and Rhod pretty much jump straight into bed together. 2 weeks later, they're kind of in love, but we never see it happen and have no idea what they've discussed. Presumably, Candy never discussed her struggle to find a Santa because Rhod doesn't volunteer to prove his love or anything and she doesn't seem to know how much he hates Christmas. Instead, Jared Stone agrees to be Santa. But when left alone, Rhod suddenly feels the spirit of Christmas and hies off to be Santa for real. HEA for the couple.
The sex is mostly what this is about. This is a very loosely put together plot with almost no character/relationship development. It does at least seem to have a theme that the good of Christmas far outweighs the bad and those are the things we embrace it for. This wasn't really bad, but it wasn't amazing either. Like I said, this is about sex...the rest of it just feels kind of haphazardly thrown together around it.

A cute story but there wasn't as much substance as another of these books had. There was a robbery to the Sanctuary place that gave gifts and a meal to underprivileged kids. Candy is the one who is in charge of everything. Vandalism was also done and repairs would have to be made. Can they still provide for the children or will there not be a Christmas this year? Somehow on the way out she gets assaulted by three hoods and Rhod Claus comes to her rescue.
Spoilers...
The book was fine but I was hoping for an investigation into the robbery. Perhaps something about the family using it as a way to get her to return. And what happened to the 3 that assaulted her? Were they possibly involved with the other crime? The seemed to be many ways to go but the story just seemed to focus on the two main characters and let the rest fizzle out to nothing.
I was intrigued by the premise of this story, but the book ended up being too short and too underdeveloped for me to really get into it. I know it's a novella, but it felt like the whole middle part of the story was missing and we really didn't get to know either of the characters very well. Just as we start to delve into Rhod's personality and the reasons behind why he doesn't want to be Santa, the book skips straight to the HEA without showing us the journey. I just felt like we missed important interactions between the main couple, and even the side characters, and everything was resolved way too quickly.
I did, however, like the Santa mythology. It was a little different than anything else I've read. If the story had been a little more fleshed out, I think this could've been something that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, Seduced By Santa missed the mark for me.
A good short read that starts with poor Candy having a really bad day. Burglary, mugging and then being saved. But to be saved by Rhod and Stone, oh yeah. I could sympathise with Rhod about the over privileged children putting him off Christmas, and it was fun to see him learn what the spirit of the season was really about at the centre. A wonderful Christmas story but I would not have had the epilogue 3 years later 1 would have been enough. New version story is no different than older version.
This was a great, easy to read holiday romance! It’s not a full length novel with family drama and lover’s quarrels, which made it perfect for me. It has the rescue of a damsel in distress, friends, romance, restored hearts, and a sweet HEA! In other words, a perfect holiday story!
I know it was meant to be a short story but the transitions from one character to the next could have been better it caught me off guard the first time, but by the second chapter I was used to it. It is still a good read and worth the 3 hours it took me to read it sorry I am a slow reader.
