Light #3

Circle of Light

Rate this book
Empath and Pathcrosser to the dead, Lillian Hunt has finally come into her own as a Sentient being. All seems well in her brave new world...that is, until a tragic turn sends her tight-knit Sentient group on a rescue mission through lore-infested Europe. Their goal is to save the love of Lily's life-vampire Sentient, William Maddox-from both the prejudice of their own society and the dark intentions of ancient vampires. But how will they keep hope alive, even as time runs out? Circle of Light is a brilliant finale to The Light Series. DeLucy once again delivers gripping paranormal encounters, irresistible character interactions, and beautiful testaments to the power of pure, unselfish love-but it all burns at a higher intensity in this concluding adventure. Readers will come away from Circle of Light with a satisfying sense of closure...although certain Sentients may be less than happy with their ever after.

Jennifer has done it again! Lord this series just keeps getting better and better. I had the opportunity to read this ARC and let me tell you I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. The characters are just so well developed and the story follows so smoothly that at first I was like WOW some of the characters are finally going to get their Happily Ever After and be able to enjoy what they have and then BAM something happens and I am taken on a journey like no other. I will not go deeply into the book but i will give you a quick recap for all of those who have been following the series know I love Lilly and William. They are the best couple of 2012!

Lilly finally has finally become a Sentient and she is learning everyday what she can do and what she can't. She is an empath and a path crosser so she has some strong powers and she uses them to fight the evil that lurks around. She is enjoying her time with William the love of her life. They share everything together until tragedy strikes and the close community they live in will have to fight to get back what was taken from them. Lilly will stop at nothing to get her William back from the lore infested Europe and away from the ancient vampires that are set on taking William and having him join them on the dark side.

What will Lilly and her gang of love ones do? Will William join the ancient vampires? How strong is their love? Can is stand this temptation? What is a girl to do? Come along and read this GREATEST installment in this series because it will leave you breathless!

I read this as a manuscript, and I hear a lot was added in editing, so I am **dying** to read the finished product. I have been a superfan of this series from the beginning, and I am not alone. Circle of Light, as the title suggests, bring the gorgeous story arcs from the first two books full circle, but still leaves us room to dream of more. Highly recommended, but start with the first book, Seers of Light, for the full effect of amazingness.

Circle of Light wraps up the Lights Series perfectly. The ending was amazing and has the opportunity for more stories to come from the series or more Maddox. Circle of Light was filled with action - there was never a dull moment. There were new characters introduced – some that I hated! Jennifer wrote them perfectly to get that reaction out of me. The sex scenes in Circle of Light weren’t as sexy as the first two novels were. But that’s okay as we got to see the more “aww” romantic and protective sides of both William and Christian that made me gush. Without giving too much of the story away I felt that Circle of Light was just the beginning of the characters new lives. There was so much that happened with William and Lily’s and Christian and Nicole’s relationship that filled me with happiness. I was glad to learn that Jennifer didn’t break the couples up. Overall, this series is amazing and each and every one of you needs to pick up the novels! I will be the first to jump for joy if Jennifer says she will continue the series or write a spinoff maybe on Anna/Trina?? Pretty please Jennifer!!!

Special thank to Jennifer and Traci for providing me an ARC for review.

Very Disappointed in Author's Broken Promise

I won this as a Goodreads First Read Giveaway, but I still have not gotten my giveaway. I am extremely disappointed that apparently the author, Jennifer, and the publisher do not feel like they need to follow through with her promise of a giveaway, and in their not responding to multiple attempts on my and Goodreads’ part asking them to honor their promise.

I won it on Nov 1, so it's been over 6 months of waiting and trying. I was certainly disappointed, since the odds were so few to win this (1 out of 1102), I'm a fan of YA paranormal and romance, and this one looked like a good one. Goodreads has such a nice giveaway program (I’ve certainly taken advantage of it a lot), but this is the first time this has happened.

My only recourse is to post a comment or review to put it out there so you know, and Goodreads has blocked her from promising any more giveaways.

Another beautifully written masterpiece by the wonderful DeLucy! In this third installment to the Seers series, DeLucy easily draws you back into the lives of Sentients, Vampires, and beings of the beyond. I felt the characters blossomed gracefully in Circle, which made for a lovely transition between the three Seers books, and I really felt I grew with them every step of the way. Along with an captivating characters, DeLucy produces an enthralling plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. DeLucy has the ability to take you from giggling at the perfectly placed one-liners in one second to gnawing your fingernails to the bone in the next. Not only delicately written but a breath of fresh air in the world of literature, the Seers trilogy is a must read for avid readers of any genre!

I was fortunate to be an early reader of DeLucy's newest story, and once again she easily transported me into the world of Seers. We're back with Abram's group on a completely new adventure that will twist every emotion you've got. We get to go to Europe in this one! And DeLucy does a fantastic job of bringing ancient lore into the story -- and then bringing it to life. The characters, scenery and paranormal encounters are stunning.

4.5 stars (where are my half stars goodreads?!)

Circle of Light is book three in the Light trilogy. I've been anticipating it's release for some time. I can't confirm or deny that I fangirl a little over Jennifer DeLucy and have talked to multiple people, telling them they need to read these books. They're not just another vampire story. They are so much more than that. The characters are well rounded and the plot is in-depth and interesting. She's created her own world. A world I really love.

In Circle we get all the stories wrapped into a nice, neat package. With a pretty bow on top. I especially enjoyed that, because often in a trilogy or series, the other characters fall to the wayside. I get why that is, but getting to see closure for everyone was a nice surprise.

I spent the bulk of the book swooning over Christian and Nicole, William and Lilly, and enjoying the other members of the household. Even the minor characters were a fun addition. Except maybe Judy Lynn (oh, you'll learn about her). I wanted to shove her off a cliff *smiles sweetly* She definitely brought the drama. But the thing is, the drama wasn't forced or overly used. There wasn't a sense of it being thrown in just to get us from point A to point B. It was solid and interesting.

I love how there's such a clear picture of how the Seers and Sentients live their lives. It gave me the feeling of being their friend, of being a part of their world. One of my favorite things a book can do for me is take me to another time and/or place. Circle of Light did that with ease. It was, in a word: superb. I'm actually sad to see this trilogy end but this last book made me warm and fuzzy.

I highly recommend the trilogy if you are looking for a twist on the usual paranormal or supernatural. You won't be disappointed. You can even enter to win a copy here.

I won this from first reads (11/25/14), but did not receive it until Sept 2015. Good thing that it was worth the wait. This is the third book in the series. As Abram's time on this earth draws near, the jealous and horrible Judy Lynn with the help of Nicole's father plot to destroy William and ruin the harmony of the group. Lily's powers get stronger and with the help of her friends and other associates, she finds William and uncovers Judy Lynn's treachery . The series ends, but leaves the questions: what happens with Nicole and Christian's baby?, can Lily and William have children?, does Paul find his other half in Holly?. I hate when books end with all these unanswered questions.

Wonderful conclusion to one of my all-time favorite series. Absolutely ADORE William and Christian. They're both my bae, and Lily and Nicole are pretty freaking awesome too. I enjoyed to descriptions of the landscape, and the interaction between the characters, and felt Ms. DeLucy wrapped up the trilogy well. This is an extremely underrated series and one you NEED in your life. Get at it, peeps!

I have fallen in love with Cat and Bones. Every girl needs a Bones in her life, someone who loves and cares for all parts of you. Cat is strong and brave, she has overcome some very harsh things she does not like about herself. The end left me teary and needing to start the next book sooner rather than later. Great read!

Loved the first two books, but this one just kept treading water and not really getting anywhere nor developing any of the characters further in any significant way. I might pick it up again someday, but right now I just can't sustain interest. Also really peeved by the decision to make all acronyms (i.e. AM/PM, ASAP, ICU) small caps.

I too got an early read of this book. I couldnt be more pleased with it unless it were longer (because I wanted to read more) I love that a sense of humor really comes through in the writing and that you can really feel like you are being transported while you read.

I think the author killed the shit out of this series. The first book was awesome. This one and the second one really sucked, it was boring at huge parts in the novel when it should of been interesting. I would never ever read this series again. Period!

I originally rated this a 4 but now I can't stop wishing there was a 4th book that I could start reading. That has to deserve an extra star! I loved getting lost in the sentient's world and am sure I will read them again.

What a great ending to a great series! I'm glad everyone ends up happy. I just wish the author would have continued the story a while longer to let us know if Lily and William end up being able to have kids or not. Still, I am very glad I read this series.

I think this was the perfect ending. Although, greedy as I am, I wanted to read more... Maybe a spin-off on the other characters, miss DeLucy? Well, I'll keep hoping!

This series is a most read.
