Who knew outer space could be so entertaining? Aliens, planets, and asteroids become laughable subjects through this silly book. Whacky illustrations accompany jokes adding another level of hilarity.
I read a lot of kids books. I like kids books. I tend to read more middle school and YA than primary school books, but I enjoy kids books in general.
One of the things I hate when I've read a kids book is when the book gets a bad rating and the person says, "Maybe if I were younger I'd like this book, but I didn't like it..." I always wonder if a person doesn't appreciate kids books, why is he/she reading this book.
But here I go. Maybe if I were a kid I would have appreciated the jokes in this book. Maybe I'm just old and can't appreciate what kids find silly or funny. Maybe I would have giggled like a maniac.
But honestly, I don't know. I've read other silly books. I've read and giggled as silly jokes. This book just didn't do it for me. It felt tired and stale and some of the jokes were really stretching it.
