[Read more at my blog, Geeky Reading!]

I’m just not very impressed with this series. I don’t think I’ll be getting the rest of them, unless I find them for very cheap or something.

I’m just not invested in any of the characters. I don’t think I know enough about them, or have gotten to know them very well deep down. The point of view changes are weird, there are too many characters with too little development, very skin-deep while trying to make them more in-depth but with too little focus. I have to read it the American way, which I’m not a huge fan of (but I would do, if I felt more strongly about it).

I mean, I’m intrigued, but I think my biggest problem with it is that it’s unfinished. It’s on a long hiatus in Japan, and volume 5 over here is very hard to find. If it had been continued, and continued published over here, then I wouldn’t mind reading more and getting more invested, because I am intrigued. But as is, I’m just not very interested, or motivated to continue. I would rather spend my money on something ongoing, or completed.

Tired of pretending to be someone she’s not, Hali decides to go into the entertainment business and become a model where she can let go and be herself. All that pent up frustration and raw emotion shows in Hali’s modeling, and the talent agent sees her fiery personality as sexy and beautiful. While Rea, is also a very pretty girl, she has to resort to blackmailing Siho for his connections and work her way into this business once she gets in, unlike Hali who is a natural and so she becomes a little jealous of Hali. Meanwhile Sey day dreams about her teacher Hajun, blind to Siho’s feelings for her!

I find Hali to be a really complicated character and that makes her interesting.

Not sure she needed to resort to blackmail or threatening her father. But she’s right, she can’t be Terry forever, and if she is going to continue to be Terry, she needs to do something for herself for once so she doesn’t lose sight of who she is. So I can’t blame her for wanting a release and something to call her own.

This is the side of Hali that I love. That part of her that isn’t afraid to be herself and be confident about who she is, even if she doesn’t normally show it!

But I hate the part of Hali that is obsessed with her teacher. He is your teacher! Hello?! I mean I understand crushing on him, but she even interferes with his date and kisses him. That’s just going too far! (Honestly I thought she was being a selfish brat, and kind of bitch) I mean, this could get her teacher fired! What is she thinking?!

This is the part of Hali that I think is like this because she is starving for attention, even if it’s negative.

For some reason, teacher-student relationships are a common theme in manga and I really don’t know why! It’s annoying! Sadly, this is why I can’t give this series a better rating. I love the story about Hali. It’s interesting and complicated, but the girls obsession with their teacher is just immature.

The Hali/Hajun scenes are as intense as ever. I love the fact that Rea and Siho were both using each other to get what they want and there is no bitterness on either side. Also the scene in the car with Hali and Hajun while Siho and Sey are watching them outside was great! But honestly Sey being heart-broken over Hajun was just getting on my nerves. Meh. Young Jun, Hajun's younger brother and Sey's childhood friend, is hilarious and I hope he gets more page time. ooh and Hajun has finally found out about Hali having to spend her life living as her brother Terry because her mother can't know he was killed in an accident. All in all another issue full of everything I like about INVU.

I think there are a lot of side characters and for some it can be a lot going on in a single manga, but I super like the storylines for Sey and Hali.
