A cute webcomic but it doesn't really work in collected form. The pacing and flow aren't right. Unless you really really can't stand to read things on a monitor I recommend checking it out online instead.

Don't often read graphic novels. Read this after working through all KB Spangler's novels - which is kind of the wrong order as this is backstory to the novels. Enjoyed it a lot. Interested in how the dialogue box placing and style gives tone to the story. Some laugh out loud moments. Am now continuing with the free (or donate) online ones and have got to the original black and white. Rise Up Swearing is re-done in colour in improved art. Still enjoying the black and white story. Oh and be aware, yes there is swearing. The title is a bit of a give away. Some really inventive swearing in places. Can't now remember if Speedy the Koala appears in this volume or not until the bits in black and white - but he is brilliant. And rude. And insensitive.

This is... fine? ok? The premise is different and has promise, but the pacing is off. Jumps are weird, there's not enough context.
This volume is a lot of set-up. If you want to try this story, make sure additional volumes are available, as the story doesn't feel complete.
The artistic style isn't my favorite. I never followed this as a web comic, but examples from the early days are in the back and it's come a long way! Perhaps the artist will continue to develop; future non-series projects might be worth a look in a couple years.

I enjoyed it. The font in the introduction was a little hard to read but that could just be not great lighting and old eyes, which is hardly the fault of the book.
The characters are intriguing and it's an interesting start to the series. I look forward to reading more.

Read online but want to keep track of where I am. This is funny and weird and makes me want to read more by the author.

I think I have read this comic before, but no clue when or how far I got.
This book is the Introduction (pages 1-37) and Ch 1 (38-92), which, confusingly, is pg 1-71 in the webcomic url counter.

Funny web comic. It’s good, but I think it probably gets better. Feels like it has good bones, though
