Meet Lily Lemon Blossom, a delightful little girl who loves adventures and playing with her friends. Lily invites you to see her lovely room and meet her many friends, including Bunny Rabbit and Josephine her kitten who is always by her side.
Hello, I’m Barbara Miller, the author, self-publisher and creator behind the Lily Lemon Blossom children’s picture book series. I love writing children's books. Little ones have such a vast and vivid imagination, and often spend a lot of time playing in their imaginary world. Through the adventures of Lily Lemon Blossom, I get to show them a glimpse into the life of a little girl who lives in their imaginary world with them. And whose imagination is as flourishing as their own.
Barbara Miller's debut book, Lily Lemon Blossom “Welcome to Lily’s Room" begins the adventures of a fun-loving little 5 year old girl with a big heart. 'I’ve enjoyed creating such a wonderful character. Lily Lemon Blossom is such positive little person. A happy little girl who is always finding ways to make those around her happy too.' Barbara is currently working on a new collection of Lily Lemon Blossom books and comics. She is excited about the future and all that could be in store for Lily Lemon Blossom.
I really enjoyed this little book. I collect children's books and I am glad I bought it.
The story is very simple but comforting. In a world that is becoming more and more digitized, the story puts emphasis in the details of the little girl's room - what is real, what is there. The details are fun and colorful, full of life.
I highly recommend it for little girl's everywhere, including women young at heart. :-)
One of the most beautiful digital children's book I've read. The illustrations are gorgeous and why it has remained one of my favorites. It drew the attention of my oldest granddaughter who has always been a fashion diva. Maybe it's the girly fluff and bright colors that attracted her, but the youngest, who is more of a tomboy, couldn't be bothered with this book.
Definitely perfect for the girly-girl in your life. I wouldn't mind having several of these Lily Lemon Blossom books for my collection just for the art appreciation.
Lily Lemon Blossom ~ Welcome to Lily's Room has two positive points to make into teachable moments. First is the rhyme throughout the story on each page. The rhyming words are simple and ones in most children's vocabulary, so it makes an easy lesson for the parent or teacher to use them. The second lesson is that Lily always keeps her room clean and everything has a place, which is often a hard concept to teach to young children. When presenting this book I would start a discussion on neatness by asking, "What do you notice about all the parts of Lily's room?" to draw the children into a conversation on how neat she keeps her room. The illustrations are cute, age appropriate and fit the wording in the story.
I initially had my son read this little book to catch him up on his reading...I got it because it was free. Then, tonight, I read it to kind of push me towards my reading goal this year. I must say though, I enjoyed this rhyming little story. I loved the pictures and how well drawn they are..it will hold the child's attention and even yours if your reading to your child(niece, daughters, etc)
Perfect for little girls who love tea parties, bears, pink and just being girls...(even if they don't like pink! Lol)
Seriously though, even if your child likes something different, it's still a wonderful little story. Really cute and fun for when they can read to themselves or for mommy and/or daddy to read to the little Princess! :-)
We really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series! My daughters love that the story rhymes, has a cute little kitten, and that Lily's room is smothered in pink! They were also pretty fond of Lily's lamp too :) Take a look at our Kids Corner Vlog on My Book Addiction to hear the story, and listen to my daughters tell you their thoughts about the book.
The illustrations in this book are really good ,but unfortunately there is hardly any story told. The whole book is more about describing the room rather than any event that reader would benefit from.
I love free children's books because they rarely disappoint. Really love this cute little book. This is what little girls always do: playing with their dolls, read them stories, having tea party, etc. A good choice if you have a long, bad day and need a short and cute story to escape the reality.
The lovely illustrations were the only thing that saved this book for me. It is a rhyming book and the flow was off in several places. It seemed like an editor never took a look at it before it was published. It also contained a few female stereotypes I don't care for. I would not read it to my granchildren.
Beautiful illustrations Colorful Rhyming story You can actually read and show a child what you are reading There is a cleaning lesson for children called dusting Another one about reading Enjoyed it
As a parent who reads to her child, I really appreciate that the story is easy to read and the rhyming is great. My preschooler loved the illustrations and she loved to point out which items Lily has that she owns too and plays with everyday. It was a good starting point to promote room cleanliness. The book has simple texts and short sentences suitable for newly-independent readers. Perfect for practice reading for little girls ages 4 to 6.

My 6 year old sister loved it she thought it was just the cutest book I will be reading oft a lot more now!!!!!!
my 6 year old.sister loved it the book is just Soooooooooo cute. I will be reading it a lot more then! she rated it. I didn't really have that many dislikes with the book.
Disappointing, aimless picture book with no plot. Rhyming text does nothing to forward a story or establish an arc. Little character development. Flat, predictable personality. Weak use of rhyme, near-rhyme, and erratic meter make this book difficult to read aloud and troublesome for beginning readers to read themselves. Watercolor (or digital watercolor) illustrations have beautiful texture.
hehe it was so cute, though I was taken aback literally. I didn't expect it as it is, I felt like a giddy child while reading it, the illustrations are great and the words rhymes. All in all I really enjoyed it in my own little way. :)
buku gratis dari iBook. Tak dinyana memiliki ilustrasi yang menawan. Kalimat-kalimat dalam tiap halaman berima. Terkagum-kagum sampai halaman sekian lalu melihat boneka badut Lily yang mirip Pennywise the Clown ;(
The rhyming in this book seems off, and I don't feel any connection but I love the illustrations. They're very pretty. The story itself is very short, with just a tour of Lily's room so not much of a story. Good for pre-schoolers I think.
Lily Lemon Blossom Welcome to Lily’s Room is a story about all the things Lily has in her room. Lily is a delightful little girl who enjoys playing an adventure in her room. Lily has pink and rosy blankets, which makes her room cozy. She has a music box she dances to and a cat named Josephine, which she loves to pet. Lily has everything a girl wants in just a small and clean room. Throughout this book, Lily invites the readers to play along with her and joined her adventures inside her room through day time and night time. Lily Lemon Blossom Welcome to Lily's Room is a bedtime story that rhymes so well that it will make your kids sleep in a blink of an eye.
This book is girly themed since it talks about everything a girl would love to play and have in their rooms.
Personally, I loved the book. Although the book is pretty short and simple, the author focuses on rhyming all the passages which catch the attention of many by making the book entertaining and funny for little girls. Besides, I believe it is a great bedtime story since it mentions the many things Lily possesses, which is everything a little girl can dream of when asleep.
I would recommend this book for little girls who enjoy using their imagination because the author mentions so many cool toys and ideas to play with that can eventually call any girls’ attention. Also, I truly believe it is a cute story for girls when they feel alone and sad. By reading Lily Lemon Blossom Welcome to Lily's Room, they can have fun with their imagination.
Lily Lemon Blossom (girl) is going to give you a tour of her room. She has every toy; clothing; & nice thing’s a kid could wish for.
Then there is her stuffed Bunny Rabbit & Josephine (kitten).
I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.
An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) rhyming storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (personal bedroom), adventure movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

A child's strongest tool is their imagination, and each individual child's imagination is often reflected in their bedroom. In "welcome to Lily's Room" we take a look into a young girl's bedroom and see the various things she plays with and creates. She has a kitten and dolls, dress up clothes and a doll house. She likes to read story books to her stuffed animals. It's easy to see how imaginative she can be with all of the wonderful things in her room.
This is a great story for children to read in their progress of literacy learning. Barbara Miller uses various rhyming schemes throughout so the sentences and pages flow together nicely. She also uses very descriptive words to help the readers picture what she is saying. If the words by themselves don't convey the meaning, the illustrations done by Inga Shalvashvili are vivid and colorful and they complement the words written by the author. I would definitely recommend this book as a beginner book for literacy instruction, especially for young girls.
