05:04am, March 20, 2003 Who would say what during wartime? What would Jesus tweet? And how would history's most indecent of scandals have played out on our computer screens? This hilarious book takes a 140-character romp through history, exploring what it might be like if Twitter had always been part of our lives. From dinosaurs to Princess Diana, the Magna Carta to phone-hacking, including "Famous Last Tweets," hysterical hashtags, and salacious "Follow Fridays," here is the story of the world told via 140 characters or less.

English focused and the British slang and in-jokes were annoying. Annoyance compounded by errors in time and dates of 'tweets'.

And the incorrect use of am instead of A.M.

Oh well was a good concept and only wasted about an hour reading it.

#irrelevant!
At first i thought it would be funny, but i was so wrong.. it has a few good ones in there, i'll give you that, but most of them are just rubbish.. The authors could have tried so many things but they decided to go with predictable and shortsighted..

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- The timeline at points is a bit messed up!
- It's too focused on English History -and frankly has nothing interesting to offer after a point, the authors just keep criticizing the royal family again and again and after a few times it gets irritating..
- The sketches are awful..
- Well i guess it was not my cup of tea..

Okay this IS funny. I stand enlightened about Adam & Eve, Goliath's embarrassment after defeat, Alexander's followers, ascent of democracy in Greece, the plot to assassinate Ceaser, the return of Jesus, the death of Atilla The Hun, The 100 Years War, the reason why Da Vinci drew Mona Lisa etc etc etc.
Read it if you are active on Twitter.

I have to admit some of these were absolutely hilarious but there were some that the funny just fell flat. I think those really outweighed the humor the authors were trying to convey in this book. If you are a fan of twitter, then this book might be for you but if you are looking for tons of humoring entertainment, then you will be disappointed in this book.
