Imprisoned in Liz’s Toy Box, Staz is surprised by a visit from his older brother, the very man he came to Demon World Acropolis to see. But Blaz hasn’t come to help Staz unlock the secrets of The Book of Human Resurrection. Instead, he’s come to release Staz’s true vampire powers, the same magic Blaz sealed away years ago by putting a bullet through his little brother’s heart. Staz’s strength is needed to conquer a terrible threat that has appeared in the Demon World, and once again Staz finds himself a pawn in his brother’s game. Unless he confronts this terror, the secrets of his brother’s book will remain a mystery and Fuyumi will remain a ghost—if she doesn’t disappear entirely first!
A much better glimpse into this series than the first omnibus, honestly. The characters and plot are much more defined.
We see a bit of Staz's backstory in this volume, and are better introduced to his sister and brother. We also see some growth in Staz's character, his powers, and his relationships with his friends and Fuyumi.
I love all of the references in this volume--Dragonball, Lupin III, Miyazaki/Ghibli, and more. They're fun little treats for fans of other series and just Japanese culture in general.
The second omnibus, not going to write a long review as I wrote a review for the separate volumes when I read this series the first time. This was a fun volume and I am happy to see Liz so many times (she is adorable and I love how she wants to be a real kid but on the other side also doesn't). Staz gets his powers back. We learn of an evil villain and see Staz's brother make evil plans (still not sure what to make of the guy). I absolutely adored those moments between Liz and Fuyumi near the end. Art is fab. Definitely will continue reading!
I like the anti-hero approach to Staz a little more in this one, but then Fuyumi is downgraded to a shadow's shadow and there are too many long fight scenes. There's a lot of good stuff going on, but the fluff could be downsized some more. The overall tone of this omnibus installment was totally different to me than the first one and it did not go in the same path that I thought it would based on that. Still entertaining, but it did divert from what I had hoped for into something that seems a little more average now. On to the next!
More supernatural adventure is to be had in this second volume of the manga series. The vampire, Staz, goes to meet his brother to ask for help to save the ghostly Fuyumi from disappearing. He gains quite a bit of knowledge and power through this experience. And with the events in this it make me wonder what Staz's big brother has in mind for him (as he seems to be leaning in the mad scientist direction)? Guess I'll have to stay tuned to find put in the next volume.
*On a side note I didn't read the "ebook" version, but the Yen Press paperback omnibus that includes two volumes.

This is a great follow up book. Staz's brother and sister are a great addition to the story line. We really get to see Staz in a bit of a diffrent light in this vol. and it doesn't dissapoint. Looking forward to reading Vol. 3
much better than the first book! staz sister and fumi loved their interaction and more development in their characters very pleased with how the 2nd half of the book played out
Me gusto mas que el primero. La historia esa tomando forma, los personajes son un poco mas tolerables, los diálogos son fluidos, explica poco a poco el porque de las cosas. Amo a Wolf❤️
