Reading Level: Pre- K - 1st Grade. This book about friendship, I thought, was just too good to pass up when I saw that my library had a whole-on-almost collection of these books. My inner child was SCREAMING for joy!! For Camilla's birthday, she had gotten a wand! She was unsure how it would work, though. She thought it could maybe clean her room, or help her have a dance party with her friends, maybe a talent show with the frogs outside? She even tried adding frosting to her birthday cupcake, but every time it was either an animal, ice, or mashed potatoes. She got so down and couldn't understand why nothing was working. Later, her neighbor said that it's always good to have friends around to help you, so she gave her other two friends, Molly and Maya, a ring. Before you know it, that cupcake had a beautiful bling of frosting and sprinkles. This story illustrates that even though things may be hard, your friends will always be there for you. I think this is a great story to add to my library, as it shows kids that you never have to do anything alone; you will always have your friends.

Although the pictures are bright and the rhyming stanzas are well constructed I believe that the story is quite flat.

There is an underlying moral to the story that teamwork and friendship can get you results however the message is almost lost by the long expanses of uneventful prose.

Check out Annie the Apple Pie Fairy also by Tim Bugbird which I believe is much more cheerful in comparison.

I bought this book at my daughter's book fair and was drawn to it's sparkly cover. I know that's a cheesy reason to select a book, but that's not why I bought it. It was the the story and the font used that sold me. Not only are the words fun to look at and read, but the font size is increased for words that can be read with a bit more pizzaz. This is also an adorable 5th birthday book.

Such a cute book. It is colorful and fun. It is full of rhyme, onomatopoeia, and has certain words bolded which is fantastic for learning. It has a cute storyline and such a cute lesson about friendship.

I really enjoyed reading this book to Victoria and she really enjoyed listening to it. She wanted to read it on her own afterwards (also known as wanting to turn the pages on her own).

I think there is a good message in there, but so much ..... other..... that it is hidden. Kids pick this book up because of the sweet cover, but are less interested in the story itself.

Miss Four loves this book and has asked me to read this a couple of times each day. It's not bad, but there are two places where the words don't seem quite right when I'm reading it aloud.

I love the illustrations--my daughter adores the pink and the bright pictures as well as anything about fairies. My only complaint is the story wanders a bit and the biggest problem is trying to ice her cupcake. I like the way she solves it with friends--it's always good to show teamwork in books. My daughter received this as a present, and if she continues to like it like she does, I will check out these other Camilla books!

This is a cute little series. I love the artwork, It looks like drawings mixed with pictures of textures. (Like the Lace looks like real lace, and background looks like textured cloth.) The books are sweet and have a nice moral. Little girls are going to love them!

Sweet little rhyme of how a wand does not hold the power to frost a cupcake but instead the power of friendship does. The vibrant colors & photos of real items & textures make the illustration of this book adorable.

My daughter loves this book! The story is so fun! The funniest part was when she was on the phone and it had a cord. She asked "what is that string on the phone?" The illustrations are so cute! We also love Izzy the Ice Cream Fairy.

Not terribly well-written or original but the illustrations alone make the book worth snuggling up with your favorite little girl and enjoying pink, sparkles, cupcakes and fairies!

Pointless tripe -- considering I gave some Barbie books 4 stars, this is saying something. One of the dumbest books my girls have brought home in a while.

No the most well-written story, but really lovely illustrations. Cute for a fifth birthday present for a fairy-lover.

Cute and colorful illustrations, with a great lesson--working together makes difficult things possible. My 5 year old loved the story and my 7 year old is able to read it.

Another Book Fair purchase for Peyton's birthday. She loved that it was about a fairy on her 5th birthday "just like me!" Cute story but the rhyme seemed forced. The girls loved it.

The artwork is enticing, and the story is cute. This kind of rhyme is not my favorite, but the book captured my attention, just the same.
