Das Buch gibt einen guten Überblick über die deutsche Geschichte von 1800-1987. Die Texte sind teilweise recht ausführlich, überspringen aber auch an manchen Stellen Essentielles, bzw. setzen dann doch gewisse Details heraus. Das Bildmaterial ist phänomenal.

Sehenswert, auch wenn manchmal vermisse ich die Grundlagen, um die Gründe für die Ereignisse, die in Deutschland (oder Preußen oder DDR) stattfand, vollständig zu verstehen.

Interesting though sometimes I miss the basics to fully understand the reasons for the events that took place in Germany (or Prussia or DDR).

Interessante anche se a volte mi mancano le basi per comprendere appieno le ragioni per gli avvenimenti che avevano luogo in Germania (o in Prussia o nella DDR).

I read the English translation, which was very poor, to the point that I questioned reading further. However, it was the only book in my carry-on for an international flight, so... Good pictures at least.
