Robert Galvin, Chairman of the Motorola Executive Committee, first read this innovative book on the creative process more than 40 years ago. He credits it with helping him discover his own creative power, learning to hone it, and encouraging it in others. Because it is still timely today, he has abridged it and refined the essential lessons for busy executives. It is an invaluable leadership tool, containing a wealth of insight including these gems: Creativity is imagination coupled with intent and effort, and quantity is the surest recipe for ideas. As an added benefit, key concepts are highlighted.
I would give this book 20 stars if I could. I read it when I was about fourteen. The anecdotes and the stories of important people (of the time, long past) are dated. But this is an awesome book that I remember having a powerful impact on me.
