The best book out of the series, in my opinion. It was funny, embarrassing, light and heart warming. As always, there are those few moments (the meditation lark) where it got a bit boring and you're fighting to keep awake... but for teenage girls the books are a good read!

(Yes I know, I'm 21. But I'm still a tween at heart and EVEN THOUGH this series isn't my fave - mates, dates series is my baby and always will be - it was still a good read when I was growing up!

2 estrellas.

Kmt I hated this book, so ughhh like she’s 15 and travelling everywhere without a care in the world and she’s there complaining as she’s in Greece and I’m here in London revising for GCSEs. Her and her cousin are annoyingggg kmt - just there complaining for no reason

This made me want to cry with nostalgia I loved it so so much. There are four books in this series - to read them all or to move onto a Santa Montefiore/Sarah Morgan! I’m totally ruining my 2025 read list but oh well

Really good book. would definitely recommend it to my friends. Its set in the real world and talks about this girl with conflicted feelings of unbelonging since she keeps being uprooted from her home as she moves around the world. Honestly, if u like teen fiction, then this book is for u

Okay, this book is obviously for a much younger crowd but I chose to read it anyway because it was written by Cathy Hopkins. The first book I read by Cathy Hopkins was Mates, Dates and Inflatable Bras that I discovered on the shelf of a library I went to which was almost about a decade ago. Her writing was fun, her book covers were bright and beautiful, and her characters were interested in astrology(!); it was just my cup of tea. With that in mind, I decided that I would read this book to find out if I still enjoy her books as much as I did before. But it also wasn't a total surprise when I found myself feeling too old to relate to the characters for 85% of the book and I even thought about giving it up already. I also couldn't help but wonder if I was as dramatic and bratty as the girls sounded in this book when I was a teenager. But I started to enjoy more after she met Sensei and how her thinking started to change. Even though India saw Liam as a good guy and even before Joe warned her about him, I didn't like the way he was being too extreme. I also believe in meditation but I also believe in being in the middle, so that's when I have my liking for the Joe character. Despite his reputation for a bad boy, I liked that he was the most mature teen among all the others in this book. I'm glad how things turned out in the end.

I may hesitate a little bit to read another book of hers because I'd definitely feel too old, but I don't think it was such a waste of time to have finished this one.

A good teenage story that correctly replicates the problems and confusions of teenage life.
The book follows India Jane as she struggles against the belief that her family don't care about her and that she is being pushed to the side. This belief makes her make descisions and hang out with random strangers, while on holiday, which she wouldn't normally do. If that wasn't enough, she keeps on making herself look like an idiot on a boy who she's got a crush on.
In this book, she has to make choices and discovers so much about herself. I would recommend any teenager to read it.

I think I'm a bit too old for this kind of literature, since I can't really relate to these characters any more. It was very easy to read which I was looking for - something to read in the summer. I thought it was an interesting read and that Joe was really cute.

I really liked this book, I though it was a good start for the series. Although when it starts talking about the meditation and those things its like OK lets get past that stuff. But overall it was a very good and easy read!
