When circumstances leave her with little choice but to volunteer for the Interstellar Bride Program, Hannah Johnson finds herself matched with not one but two mates. Her soon-to-be husbands are warriors of the planet Prillon, a world whose men are known far and wide for their prowess both in battle and in bed.
Following her transport to a starship halfway across the galaxy, Hannah awakens in the presence of Zane Deston, the huge, fiercely handsome commander of the Prillon fleet. After informing her that she is now his mate, as well as the mate of his second, Zane takes it upon himself to supervise as Hannah is thoroughly and intimately examined. Her failure to properly cooperate with the ship’s doctor earns her a painful, embarrassing spanking on her bare bottom, but it is her body’s response to the exam which truly leaves her blushing.
Though Hannah is shocked by the prospect of being shared by Zane and his second, the equally handsome warrior Dare, she cannot hide her arousal as her two dominant mates take their time in mastering her body. As the day of the claiming ceremony approaches, Hannah begins to long for the moment when Zane and Dare will make her fully theirs, but can she risk giving her heart to men who might die in battle any day?
First person didn't help this story and might hinder the author who repeatedly used the same inner dialogue without growing her characters into meaningful conflict. The sex is short, generally genetic, with some warm, but never steamy moments. I wanted to like this story but I couldn't. The concept of the bride program is pretty interesting but the author portrays the whole process as extremely cold, clinical, and ultimately depressing. For multiple partner stories with aliens, skip this story and read Tracy St. John's early books.
Hannah Johnson makes the ultimate sacrifice to save her brother and his family by volunteering for the Interstellar Bridal Program. The intensive testing matches her with a warrior from Prillon Prime. Not exactly Hannah’s first or even second choice of destination given she’ll be living aboard a battleship on the front lines. A disgruntled Hannah soon finds herself prepped for transport.
The last thing Commander Zane Deston wants is a bride, but thanks to his interfering mother he now awaits her arrival. He’s already named his second, Dare. Second, I hear you ask? Well, why yes, it’s custom on Prillon for a female to have a primary and secondary mate. Umm, I think someone neglected to inform Hannah of this fact.
Hannah doesn’t know what end is up! There is little time to adjust to the fact that she has not one, but two mates who expect her full submission in *coughs* all areas She hasn’t had many lovers, but her natural submissive tendencies have been used against her in the past. So Hannah is naturally wary of putting her heart on the line. I, personally, don’t know if I would’ve run in the opposite direction when faced with these two fine specimens of uber masculinity or dived in head first!!
Zane is convinced that Hannah won’t be able to deal with the full force of his dominant nature. Yet, how can he persuade Hannah to accept his claim when she senses he is holding himself back:
“She won’t give herself to you, she won’t love you, she won’t trust you until you bare your soul to her and let out the beast.”
Maybe, just maybe, Hannah isn’t as fragile as Zane believes.
Ménage stories are my guilty pleasure and I really enjoyed this one. I just didn’t connect very well with Hannah’s character and would’ve loved to hear more about Dare. I was excited to learn that Prince Nial will be getting a book soon though!
If you are looking for an action-packed, sci-fi, BDSM, kindle-melting, steamy, quick read then grab this book today.

2.5 Stars This story was just barely ok for me. I thought Hannah did too much talking in her head and not enough communicating to the guys. I really didn't like Zane. I know he had lots of responsibilities and was a leader over many men but he sure didn't know how to treat a woman and was kinda a bully and a sadist. Dare was the only one I did like. I thought the whole examination with the doctor and the final claiming in front of a bunch of guys was really weird, creepy and stupid. Why? This story was more about the BDSM than anything else and I wanted more of an alien storyline.
CW: The book & my review include rape/SA of the FMC by the MMCs & secondary characters.
DNF at 60%
This is book 2 in the series. Everything that bothered me about book 1, was even worse here. This time the FMC, Hannah, *is* sexually assaulted by the doctor in front of a crowd under the guise of an “exam”. Again, she is spanked for being “defiant” or “uncooperative” when she’s literally trying to resist having strangers abuse her sexually, including the two MMCs. I’m all for consensual BDSM - but this was abuse and rape.
Also, if a book is only 4 hours long - it should not be so repetitive. Hannah’s internal dialogue is literally the same thought phrased 3 different ways back to back. Repeatedly through every chapter.
I enjoyed Goodwin’s Beasts series, so I may try her later work sometime later when I’ve forgotten this.
Narration: BJ Pottsworth & Audrey Conway were good, but the story killed it for me so it’s hard to be effusive about them.
There’s a good amount of world building injected into this spicy, spaceship-set novella about an earth bride matched to two alien warriors, as in book one. There are so many books in this series, but I’m starting to realise I’m not a fan of novellas - both books ended so abruptly, when I wanted to know more about the MCs, their worlds and lives beyond their first month together… Once again, I spotted lots of errors (letters or words missing, etc.) - decent proofreading is really not that hard!
DNF @ 61% I was lucky I started this series with another book (Her Viken Mates) or else I would have given up. Before I start being a b*tch, full disclaimer: I LOVED Her Viken Mates and I will try to continue reading this series.
So why did I hate it so much?
The thoughts were always moving in circles and it got tiring and frustrating. I was sick of reading that a) the h could not mate 2 at the same time; b) the h could not be with 2 warriors that could die at any moment; c) the h could not open up to someone who would never be able to love her; d) the H had to hide his darkest fantasies because the h would not be able to endure them; and so one. My God, I get it. But let's be reasonable: if you are such in doubt about someone's feelings, why not talk directly to the person? If you have dark desires and is already being kinky with the other peson, how about try to work it out? They were all adults, not some teenagers, yet they acted like I did in high scholl and it got old really fast. I will not extend this coment to poor Dare who was clearly just the third wheel of this poor a*s relationship.
Getting to the kink now: I'm a huuuuuuge BDSM fan, in and out of books, but there were aspects which were used in unhealthy ways here. Look, if you are not in a slave/master relationship, there's absolutely no reason for someone to spank you if you disagree with them outside of bed. It's abusive, plain and simple, and meant for the person being “disciplined” to have no saying in the relationship and, ultimatly, in their lives. The h had barely arrived and was disoriented, so she was not in the mood for a doctor's exam. What did the H decided to do? SPANK HER! NO NO NO NO NO! This is not healthy, this is not sexy, this is abuse, period. (I also believe she was raped by the doctor in that scene where she's “examined”, but I digress).
Last but not least, I'm a monogamous person and I rather read books where the couples are monogamous as well. However, when I decide to read a book with a different relationship arrangement, I prefer to see people who like each other equally. So the way the h was always thinking about one of the male characters and ignoring the other made me feel bad. It felt like cheating, since she obviously was falling for one and not having strong feelings for the other (poor Dare, I would gladly be his mate LOL). She could be having a pleasent time with her “second”, but her mind was always going to her favourite. Not cool.
3⭐️ Planet: Prillon Prime (Battleship). Another VERY spicy story with a touch of thickening plot. This book has more plot than the first book but not much more. My hope is that the plot thickens as we move through the series. If you like a breeding kink, M/F/M, light BDSM alien instalove erotica this one is it for you. The sexual component in the book is pretty decent. I’m not a fan of dubious consent but it’s in here. The world building in this book is simple and I recommend it for folks who aren’t interested in or used to following vast world building. This book is HIGHLY sexual but still has a plot in such a short novel. I just wish it hadn’t taken so long to get to the plot. Like 70% smut 30% plot. This was a decent low stakes, all vibes read. I’m gonna continue this series for when I need a literary decompression.
BDSM is not my thing and I do not think it's a good thing to call your primary mate master. I enjoy Sci-fi but this was more punishment than love story. Having 2 mates is ok, although not my thing either, but I wish there was more action and less BDSM explanation.
Mated to the Warriors is where I really fell in love with this series. I have one word for you- Prillon Warriors- okay that was two, and they do come in twos so I guess it's appropriate. Where can I find mine? Hannah isn't sure what to expect when she volunteers for the Interstellar Bride program so she can pay off her brothers debt and save her niece and nephew from paying it for him. She surely doesn't expect to be matched to the sexy but distant Zane. Zane is commander of his own battleship, but he needs a mate he can open up to. Unfortunately Hannah looks a little to fragile for what he has in mind. His second, Dare, isn't so sure but there is no convincing Zane. It takes him almost losing her to find out she has hidden strength he'd never guessed at, and she wants him as much as he wants her. I love the twists in this book, and the love Hannah feels for her warriors, after coming to terms with being matched to Zane and finding out she'll have a second mate as well. And, you get to meet Prince Nial in this book! (My absolute favorite!) This a great romance with hot Prillon Warriors.
This bride might not have chosen to be part of the program due to a traditional reason, but she found herself a fantastic HEA nonetheless. The characters were amazing! I love how Zane thinks he can hold out, but when push comes to shove he does the right thing. This one has some action and danger, but the author glosses over that for the steam, and it was a wonderful decision. This book is just the right length for a weekend read. I can’t wait to see which warrior gets to feel true love next.
I didn't care for the first one, thought maybe it gets better but no again straight up assault to the fmc. You can't just call it BDSM if there is no consent, oh but its supposed to be ok because she says she likes it. No stil assault, and these were written by a women? Wtf
Update the warnings in the description because they are not correct in any way.
An erotic sci-fi romance by Goodwin mated to the warriors is her second book in the interstellar brides series. One has the profound pleasure of being swept into vivid new worlds so real that they are unforgettable long after the novel is finished. Hannah chose to bail her selfish brother burdened by debt by enrolling on the interstellar bride program. Having been matched to a warrior on Prillon Prime she ceased to be a citizen of Earth and was henceforth a citizen of that country. Hannah is expected to learn and acquaint herself with her mate's culture and adhere to their practices. The men of Prillon Prime are brawny warriors who are sexy hot alpha males. These self-assured warriors were the only ones who kept their wives on their battleships. Prillon warriors were confident they could care for their mates anywhere. These were dangerous times where an intergalactic war raged between humanoids and cyborgs determined to conquer the universe. Despite being technologically advanced, the men of Prillon Prime have rather outmoded beliefs towards women. However, they are chivalrous to a fault. Apart from that, Deston's world is not much different from Earths with its bureaucracy, manipulators, and connivers. The tapestry that Goodwin chooses to weave an erotic sci-fi yarn is both sensual and enthralling. Hannah's mate Zane the commander of the Prillon fleet has more than one secret that she is unaware of. Moreover, he is in no hurry to share them with her. This unsettles Hannah and the ensuing tension drives a wedge between the two. Can the two reconcile their differences? Erotica fans will be pleased to know that Goodwin has included huge dollops of spanking, medical play, anal play, submission and ménage. There is even espionage thrown in for good measure. This is one intensely wicked novella. The heroine is not the only one whose heart and other parts will be throbbing with delicious desire.
So I see now that these books follow a very similar story. I was hoping they’d be a bit more different. Sure the alien race is different and now we get two guys instead of one but the characters felt pretty interchangeable and the erotic scenes were of a similar bent; BDSM with a focus on spanking and anal. Sometimes this all felt a bit OTT. But I guess if you like that of thing can it ever be enough?
Hannah is another willing participant in the programme but this time she gets two mates: a primary, Zane and a second, Dare. Zane is the dominant hiding his baser self in worry Hannah is too fragile whilst Dare is the caring sidekick. It’s a short story so I felt there wasn’t enough time to really get to know any of these characters particularly well. I do like a well thought out dynamic in a menage. Here I just felt a bit disconnected from the characters. I wanted to see more about Dare and how Hannah connected to him first.
Overall, this was a good read, it had all the right bits, it just not as great as the initial book in the series, maybe because I know what to expect now.
This is hard to rAte because I knew it was bananas before I Started reading it. I cannot apply regular expectations because it is not a regular book.
For me, I need to get to know the characters. I didn’t get that. I barely got anything about Hannah before she’s sent to her mates. I felt like there was more to the story with her brother and that her nieces are not safe in his care.
The men didn’t really have personalities either. And perhaps that’s on me for wanting that in erotica. Crazy, frequent sex is fine but I really need to know something about how these characters got to this point.
There was a lot of sex and a lot of it was very cringey. The discipline aspects were dub con and that’s not my thing. I don’t see myself reading any more in this series.
I absolutely love this series! Each book stands alone nicely but you should really read both!! Smoking hot sci-fi with alpha males and spirited women make for such a fun ride! The plots are well thought out with enough detail to curl your toes. Don't take my word for it, click and buy, you'll be so happy you did! I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an Advanced Reader Copy.
I thoroughly became enraptured by the story line. The Heroine was beautiful in her vulnerability and striking in her stubbornness. The strength in both the bond the two warriors feel was exciting as well as stimulating. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy strong men letting themselves be vulnerable and a loving ménage relationship with their mate.
The Interstellar Bride Program becomes the only option for Hannah Johnson. She volunteers and finds herself matched with two mates. Her destination planet Prillon or should I say the warship out in space. He mates are Zane, high commander and Dare, his second. She gets the most thorough of exam, which leads to a few other discoveries of her new surroundings that she had no clue of.
Narration again adds nothing and detract nothing for me.
Zane and Dare are out of this world hot. This book is set in the universe of the Interstellar Bride Program but I would consider it a stand alone however, if you liked this one please check out the other book, Assigned a Mate by Grace Goodwin.
Grace Goodwin has ruined me for all other alien romance novels. Correction… she has ruined me for ALL romance novels. After reading her material, I find the others to be tame, dull and overall anticlimactic.
The Interstellar Brides series takes place at a time where aliens are real and there are several different planets and species. There is a galactic enemy known as the hive, which is a technological species that invades planets and either kills its inhabitants or transforms their captives into one of them. A coalition was formed between the planets who are at war with the hive. Each member of the coalition is required to supply soldiers and brides to the cause. Soldiers to fight the hive, and brides to repopulate the diminished that have fallen victim to the war. There is a neurological test that a bride takes to me matched to their perfect alien planet, then their perfect alien match on that planet, through a series of sexual desires that only our subconscious can answer for. Earth allows for volunteers to apply to the program, or grants female criminals the option to become a bride over a prison sentence. Those who volunteer are paid a healthy sum of money, and those who are prisoners are given clean slates. All applicants are required to give up their Earth citizenship to become a resident of their new chosen planet. A bride has 30 days to accept or reject their match. If they accept their claim, they are mated to their new alien husband for the rest of their lives where they are expected to make babies. If they reject their mate, they are assigned a new one on that same planet. Where they are still expected to make babies. Warden Egara makes continued appearances throughout the series as she is the one who processes the brides on Earth. (After being caught up with all of Grace Goodwin’s spin-offs, I am still waiting for the warden to find her happily ever after. Hint, hint, Grace.)
Written in first person, Mated To The Warriors is book 2 in this series and follows the human bride Hannah Johnson and her primary alien mate Commander Zane Deston and his second Dare from the planet Prillion Prime. The Prillions always had two males to each female, as a way to protect their mate and offspring in the event one of them died in battle. Hannah was a school teacher on Earth who volunteered for the bride program to pay off her useless brother’s debt. Zane is the commander of his Prillion Warship and is also the cousin to the Prince of their planet (Zane is second or third - two different accountings - in line for the throne). Zane wanted nothing to do with a mate and it was his mother’s insistence that he signed up for the bride program. Dare is a pilot and Zane’s distant cousin. The Prillions have a bonding ceremony in which both mates claim their mate with a chosen audience. It’s bad enough that she has to take two guys at the same time, one in her pussy and the other in her ass, but she has to do it while being watched by strangers chanting. Hope she took her blood pressure medication, Jesus Christ. Anyway, Hannah almost rejected her pairing because of Zane holding back. Turns out, he has a personal red room, 50 shades of Grey style, and he was reluctant to introduce her to his dark side. Low and behold, Zane’s dark side was exactly what Hannah needed to let go and allow herself to fall in love.
Prillions are humanoid. What sets them apart from everyone else is their massive size (they’re larger than humans), their mating collars allow for the wearers to experience each other’s emotions, and their precum is an aphrodisiac that when it comes in contact with skin, releases a pheromone to make the woman aroused and horny.
There have been way too many romance novels I’ve read that had me frustrated and yelling “Jesus Christ, when are they gonna fuck?! Get to the good shit already!” When we’re 50% in, and the main characters have barely kissed each other, leaves readers like me aggravated. This is not one of those books. The very first chapter gives a very clear indication of what we are in for. I’m fairly confident that there is more sexual content in this book than adventure. It is, quite literally, word porn.
Hannah’s character in this book annoyed the crap out of me. She was written to be a clueless airhead. I pictured her saying “what? I don’t understand” while tilting her head back and forth. She was too weak and submissive for my taste.
The first few books in this series were a little too hardcore for my tastes. Which is saying a lot because I am far from a prude and consider myself a person with a healthy and active sex life. Filled with bondage and S&M, the consent line was a little blurry in some cases. But, if you can make it past the first handful of books, the writing gets a little tamer with a much clearer line of consent, making the books even more enjoyable. As we read through this series and all it’s spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance.
Grace Goodwin's "Mated to the Warriors" immerses readers in a tantalizing world where passion and duty collide. When Hannah Johnson volunteers for the Interstellar Bride Program, she never expects to be matched with not one, but two formidable warriors from the planet Prillon.
From the moment Hannah meets Zane Deston, the commanding leader of the Prillon fleet, and his second, Dare, she is swept up in a whirlwind of desire and submission. As her mates claim her as their own, Hannah grapples with conflicting emotions, torn between her newfound attraction and the looming dangers of their world.
Goodwin expertly weaves together scenes of eroticism and intimacy with moments of tension and excitement, keeping readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The chemistry between Hannah and her mates crackles with intensity, igniting a fiery passion that leaps off the pages.
As the claiming ceremony draws near, Hannah must confront her fears and insecurities, ultimately deciding whether to embrace her love for Zane and Dare or risk losing them to the perils of battle. With its sizzling encounters, captivating characters, and riveting storyline, "Mated to the Warriors" is a must-read for fans of sci-fi romance.
Goodwin's skillful storytelling transports readers to a world where love knows no bounds and desire knows no limits. Whether you're a newcomer to the Interstellar Brides Program series or a longtime fan, this book promises an unforgettable journey into the heart of passion and adventure.
I am really enjoying this series. This is book 2 of the interstellar Brides series. For some unknown reason I started in the middle of the series and kept reading them to the end and Then realized I hadn’t read any of the first books. So that is what I’m doing now and I am not disappointed. The writing is fantastic, and the descriptions make you feel like you’re right there. Hannah is the first human to volunteer for the interstellar brides. Because of an arrangement with our government we were to send brides out into the universe. The ones that were previously sent were inmates that had a choice, jail or Bride. Hannah had her own reasons for volunteering, even with the information it was still a shock, especially when she realized her chosen mate Zane Deston was not only the largest man (alien) she had ever seen, he is also in charge of all of the fighting warriors and commander of the battleship Deston. The other big surprise was she was not getting just one mate but two. Dare, her second mate was easy to figure out, but if she could not understand and communicate with Zane, it would not work. They finally speak up to each other and find they are the perfect match, only to find out that Dare has gone missing. Awesome book, lots of sexy times, and getting a good look at what the enemy does to their prisoners. Loved the happily ever after.
Peccato . Comunque questa serie provoca dipendenza.
Well this book is about young Hannah, the first human volunteer for the IBP and she's mates to not one but two hulking Prillon warriors. Both are demanding but in very different ways.
Zane is the Commander of the entire coalition fleet and leans towards the BDSM proclivities and keeps himself partly hidden as her primary mate. This is due to his feelings that she wouldn't be able to cope with it. Leaving her feeling rejected and him angered with frustration.
Dare is the leader of the Ninth Fighter Pilots and he is Zanes' chosen second and therefore, he is the second mate for Hannah, who is completely freaked out to begin with. He's more tactile and the one who brings gifts and the funnier of the two.
Both have spanked her and while one demands she calls him either master or sir, the other demands master only!!
Hannah can't help but fall for Dare due to his openness with her, but she can feel that Zane just isn't giving all of himself to her and in turn, she refuses to give herself completely to him. To the point that now she questions whether she can stay with them!!
Again narrating for this is Audrey Conway and BJ Pottsworth, doing yet another excellent job.
Pre-school teacher Hannah Johnson volunteers for the Intersteller Bride Program to get her brother out of debt, not for him but for his children. She finds herself assigned to not one, but two Prillion warriors aboard a battleship. Her primary mate, Commander Zane Deston, was entered into the program by his mother, who wants grandchildren. He has chosen his cousin, Dare, as his second. These two warriors are very different. Zane does not plan to let his mate fully into life. She is human and will be too fragile for what his dominant nature wants to do to her. Dare is the nurturing one who will care for their mate and not demand too much. But the collars they all three wear let Hannah know that she is not fully satisfying her primary mate, and this leads to her withdrawing from him except on a sexual level. Will she accept her matched mate at the end of the thirty days, or ask to be reassigned?
I found this throuple to be interesting. Hannah has been hurt in the past and is not going to settle for anything less than the whole ball of wax. Zane better look out. I read this book as part of a Boxed Set.
I love that Hannah was soft and vulnerable and at the same time afraid to give all of herself. She was a realistic character in that way. I also like the drama in the outer plot- the lead up to another book in the series was very good. My favorite thing in this book is the male characters - they are so possessive and determined to love Hannah. Even when he was holding back, he was still in love with her deeply. Reading this series after coming off a harlequin binge- and for me they are like pain junkie books. The emotional pain and anger in their formulas is its own form of catharsis for me. --This series is the opposite its more panacea. Someone who wants the heroine. Who doesn't know whats coming (love) and then gets hit and is done for. I love that. My only complaint? I adore the outer drama- its potential is huge and kind of untapped. Longer books- more balance of smut to plot ratio. Cause the plot is on fire! The Hive dun, dun, dun. More villainy. More backstory of the villains.
