My mom gifted me this book in 1999 when I was in the 5th grade. On my mission to read the books on my shelves, I picked up To My Daughter, with Love now when I'm 35 years old. My mom wrote me a beautiful note and highlighted passages. This is such a special keepsake.
There's an especially powerful poem that my mom highlighted about mothers trying to manage time and give enough time to family, work and to save some time for themselves. My mom was obviously highlighting this to demonstrate what she was going through and help me understand. I now have a two year old and this passage speaks to me in the same way it spoke to my own mom.
This might be my favorite book on my shelves. Thank you to the author and thank you to my own mom for taking the time to purchase, read, annotate, and gift to me all those years ago.
