We have only read through this book once, meaning we have encountered only one of the endings, and I hope the book is left on the shelf and forgotten for now, at least until my oldest can sit down and read it without aid from me. Reading aloud the Dinobot dialogue was difficult. Not difficult as in challenging. Difficult as in there were too many incomplete sentences and near to zero grammar and I was annoyed. The Dinobots are supposed to be a little slow, so they have problems expressing themselves. I do not like this. A far as cartoon characters go, I guess it is more acceptable but for a book that is supposed to encourage reading, I would prefer my son to not pick up any bad habits. I'm sure I'm being an overly nit-picky mom right now but too bad.
A choose your own adventure with a Transformers theme. When I first picked these up, I was surprised by how thin they are. But I appreciate it since it makes it easier to backtrack.
Storywise, the focus is mostly on the Dinobots. Hope it'll trip the nostalgia bone in the later stories.
Super fun to review childhood treasure. A classic. I actually made it through all possible paths of this 'choose-your-own-adventure.' Love the illustrations, especially of a computer from the 80s. Belongs in a museum! Characters are all first-generation transformers.
This was a nostalgic little read for me. I've always loved Transformers, as well as choose your own adventure books, so the two of them rolled together is a pretty fun. Whee!!
