A cute, simple poem about all things Fall. (The last two pages had an illustration of pumpkin pie and a Thanksgiving feast so now I'm ready for Thanksgiving.) I'm always ready for pumpkin pie though.)
It's a kid's book so how much can be said other than it was cute and the illustrations were adorable. I liked the art style! Very unique and created great picture pages.
Great for teaching the seasons to your preschooler. The vibrant pictures are cute and it's good for preschoolers to follow along and predict what happens next. It's a good book to read to students on the first day of fall so they can learn about their seasons and can know what fall means and be able to know how to spot when fall is arriving.
This book highlights all different things that you'll see during fall. The characters are diverse and the illustrations are bright and full of fall color. The squirrel doesn't quite look like a squirrel, but it is enough so that kids will recognize the animal. Overall, this is a good pick for an introduction/celebration of autumn.
Super simple text and illustrations, but with catchy rhyme scheme. A very no-frills intro to fall for toddlers and preschoolers. This one covers not just trees changing colors and it getting colder, but also Halloween and Thanksgiving happening.
This books cover is a great story starter and gives the reader a great chance to gather what the children already know or think about fall. Its very well illustrated also so that children can pic up the book on their own and draw there own interpretations about fall.
I See Fall is a book that is about the main character saying everything they see. He is describing everything he sees and it is rhyming. It talks a lot about colors and different foods. All the things he is seeing has to do with Fall. He describes leafs changing, halloween and Thanksgiving. It is a short book but a good story. It will see kids about the things that happen in the Fall. The illustrations are also very detailed and add so much to the story. It is a cute short and sweet book.
Fall is my favorite season. I'd definitely read this book. It helps discuss what you see outside when it's fall. Cute illustrations. Simple word choice.
Too much focus on halloween. Some focus on thanksgiving. We celebrate neither in our country. Some adaptation would have been nice, besides the translation.
I loved this book for ELL learners, which is why I added it to my favorites tab. I think this is a great way to link Spanish and English for all students, not even just English language learners. The plot is all based on activities and weather patterns in the fall, which is why this would be a great book to introduce in the first grade. The illustrations are adorable and the text is in both English and Spanish on each page. All students, especially ELL, can see side by side the translation between both languages, which I especially like.
This book is filled with great vocabulary that is used in both English and Spanish. Several colors are mentioned, fruits, buses, animals, weather patterns, etc. The teacher could use this book to help struggling ELL readers to make connections as they read in both English and Spanish. I also think that this would assist all students with their comprehension skills because they are relating both languages to each other and thinking about similarities and differences between them.
In rhyming text, the author celebrates the wonders of fall--its colors, its trees and leaves, and its notable holidays, Halloween and Thanksgiving. The book reminds readers to notice the changes in the world around them, and also shows families enjoying a turkey feast. The book's vibrant colors remind me of the gold and red leaves right outside my office window, and make me want to run outside and crunch through a pile of them. What a grand way to celebrate this wonderful time of the year!
It's not easy finding a book that an emerging reader can read, with information about fall, and with colorful pictures of all kinds of kids. It's really a celebration of fall, with repetition for that early reader and it rhymes. I was happy to discover this book for my granddaughters, one just beginning to read, the other not too far behind.
