Ai Morinaga (森永あい Morinaga Ai) was a Japanese manga artist from Okayama Prefecture. Among her best-known series are Your and My Secret and My Heavenly Hockey Club. Morinaga's last work was Kirara no Hoshi, which was published in Betsufure magazine from 2010 to 2015.
My Heavenly Hockey Club: Volume 2 is just a bunch of fun scribbled on 200 pages or so. I really enjoy the interpersonal interactions between Hana and Izuni. Right now there isn't any sexual tension, but I am sure that may not last long. They are always fighting and falling asleep together (both appear to love to sleep).
In the last story, when they are trapped in the house by the hurricane, Hana beings to wonder if Izuni likes her, even though we have never really seen any evidence of this. Personally, I hope that he doesn't like her. It is refreshing to read a manga book that doesn't revolve around lusting after someone.
As for the stories, I enjoyed all of them, but did get a little lost on the Judo Club story. I had no idea why they put on make-up and pretended to be girls. It just happened without any explanation, or at least, I did see one. Weird.
The artwork by Ai Morinaga is wonderful. I still wonder if they are ever going to play a field hockey game. My guess is that it will never happen. Or, if it ever does, it will be in the last book of the series. Either way, it is the characters that make this series work.
Overall, I highly enjoyed reading about this dysfunctional field hockey team in My Heavenly Hockey Club: Volume 2. Hopefully more strange adventures are to come in My Heavenly Hockey Club: Volume 3. I certainly hope so.

Kerja Hana makan-tidur-sekolah- repeat again, tapi badannya nggak gemuk-gemuk ya *namanya juga komik. Iyain aja biar palli*. Tapi MHHC ini sedikit 'vulgar' ya ^^;;
Series Review: My Heavenly Hockey Club is an amusing and heart warming manga that I greatly enjoyed from start to finish. It has the usual cliche's but the likability of the characters easily makes up for it. For those wary of sports manga do not fear as the entire premise is the fact that they do not really play hockey that much and are more of a "travel" club. The ending was a bit sudden but over all very good. I recommend giving this manga a try.
Oh, no! Trouble in paradise! Could Hana have a crush on a member of the Tennis Club instead of her own faithful hockey players? Will the Tennis Club successfully kick the Hockey Club out of their practice room? And what's with the Hockey Club deciding to take up judo during the rainy season?
Another wonderfully funny and charming volume from the series that thankfully doesn't take itself to seriously. There's more of the usual eating foods, sleeping, failing to play hockey and taking trips. Ahh, I just love gluttony, laziness, and leisure.
My taste in manga has changed a lot since I read (and liked Vol 1). Too many dumb girl jokes, also fat jokes, and a heaping dose of sexism. Some funny bits, but not enough to go to Vol 3.
