Brianne is the opposite of her best friend, Kyla. Kyla is open-minded; Brianne is closed off, judgmental. Kyla is a hopeless romantic. Brianne? Not so much. So when Kyla shoves an apple into her face telling her to throw it across the cafeteria so she can find her future love, Brianne is anything but interested.
And yet she throws the apple anyway.
Who does the apple hit? Dannon Barone, the most popular boy in school. Though he’s seemingly sweet and all-smiles, Brianne dislikes him. She thinks he’s a fake, a fraud, someone who is just charming the crowds in order to gain popularity. But Brianne is about to learn that stereotypes are not true, and that she’s been too quick to judge those around her.
Brianne Nichols’ life is about to change forever. And what does she have to thank for it? A bruised piece of fruit.
Who would have known that a stupid apple could be right?

This book is literally amazing... I fell in love with the characters and wished I was in the book With them! My rating would defiantly be a must read 10/10!
Here i am at 3:55 in the morning writing a review *sorry if it sucks* Oh dear...so finally when i decide to finish an actual book in the month of august,i go and give it 3 stars...
I think everyone knows by now that i can't stand CORNY THINGS. I love romance books and cute couples and cute names but sometimes there's a line... I was pretty excited to read this book,i've started reading it,i love it so i decided to give it a chance. But after pretty much screamed of joy,i reached half of the book and boy...there's when it all started. And 10 chapters before the prologue---> IT WAS LIKE RE-READING THE FAULT IN OUR STARS,I SWEAR. It gaved me that kind of vibe,i'm not saying it actually was. There was a lot of crying and a lot of cheesy parts.
Everytime i write a review i think of the negative parts and not of the positive, but it's something that you can't shut up about, like the ending. So.unreal. I'm not kinda into predictable stories...So i'm ashamed...but i skipped 2-3 chapters. *DON'T JUDGE,I'M HAVING A REALLY BAD MONTH.* And there were some annoying characters...like Maria and sometimes the mother was unbelievable...
Did i enjoyed it ?
Did i loved it?
But for the positive part...I can say that i laughed a lot with this book, all the characters are funny and awesome. And Dannon is a SWEETHEEEEART.
I'm glad that SHE got the ending she wanted. I think the story would've been more memorable if it had not ended how SHE wanted it to but then it would've been a bit (more) cliche. All in all it was a good read. I might just start flinging apples in random places :)
This book begins when Brianne gets coerced into throwing an apple across the cafeteria at school to find out who will be her future love by her best friend. When the apply hits the most popular guy in school, Dannon, in the back of the head he goes to return the apple to Bri, then decides to keep it instead. From then on he seems to always be around her, smiling, and laughing. Bri thinks he's just faking being nice, and in truth he is really mean, little did she know how wrong she truly was. These two start to form a friendship that turns into more. But the problem is Dannon may be hiding something, something big from everyone including Bri. This secret will change Bri's life forever.
This book just blew me away. I had no idea what to expect when I started reading it, and wow. It is really hard to put into words what I think about this book, but I will give it my best shot.
The book is extremely funny! Through out about seventy to eighty percent of the book all I did was laugh. Bri is very snarky and funny. And Dannon is extremely sweet, going through life with a smile on his face all the time. These two were perfect for each other. Then once it get through all that funny the book turns horrifyingly sad! I had no idea a book could be so humorous and sad all at the same time, but this book accomplished that feat splendidly. This book brings out so many happy and sad emotions I wasn't sure what to think, but in the end it was beautiful. I truly love this book, and I give major kudos to the author for writing this story so great! I can not wait to read more.
This book is so amazing. It really plays with your emotions, I laughed and I cried. There are tons of lovable characters. You'll want to order your own Dannon from online right away. I recommend this to every one. If you loved The Fault in Our Stars, you'll really like it. :D
This book was amazing!! And i was so not expecting that. I loved all the characters specially dannon because he is just so different from other characters and i just love him along with all the other characters. This book was so well written and the storyline is original and people need to read it.
Now this is one of those books where I don't hesitate to give it five stars!
This book was fantabulous and to be honest there was never a single chapter, a single line, a single sentence I didn't laugh or smile. The characters were simply adorable(especially Brianne and Dannon) and it was simply crazy the way I grew attached to them in a short while. Oh and let me put this here; this is the first ever book in the first point of view where I have actually loved the narrator! But you wanna know the best part, the author is a Christian and I really appreciated the fact that the whole story practically boiled down to faith. The sudden turn of events might have seemed impossible to most people but being a Christian myself and actually watching miraces happen, it wasn't a bit surprising. Yeah, that's how powerful God is. I also read the author's own view concerning the whole point of the book and I must say, I'm impressed. It revealed itself as you read subsequent pages. She wanted to prove that sometimes you don't always have to judge a book by its cover. And as much a cliché as it might sound, the humour, the romance in fact, everything makes it seems so different.
Once again, I love love love this book. I think I'm gonna re-read it. Just for my satisfaction!
This book is AMAZING! I laughed so hard I cried. I cried of sadness. I smiled of relief. I have never read a book to pull out so many of my emotions. It is a book you would like if you liked The Fault In Our Stars. It is literally impossible to put down. It is currently my favorite book. A girl is convinced to throw an apple at the cute guy in school. It is awkward at the beginning for her, but they fall in love. It hits her hard when she realizes a secret he has been keeping. She is devastated and depressed. Only a miracle can ever make her love again. What makes this book even more amazing is that it was written by a sixteen year old girl! It is so realistic and pulls you right into the story. I don't remember getting any sleep the night I read this. I just couldn't put it down!
Brianne’s attitude got old and repetitive. Everything that Dannon she would comment about and not in a positive way. She was a very b****y person. I am not sure why Dannon like Brianne. Brianne always pointed out other people’s faults, but never her own. She was a very negative and unhappy person.
The BFF, Kyla, annoyed me. Boy-crazy.
DNF. I could not stand the heroine. Everything annoyed her.
OMG I didn't know that this book got published!! lol
I remember crying in the end for this book.
God, the tears i shed for the H, was uncountable.
But the cliché .. GOD this book was the father of cliché's :D
Instead of it, the writing was really good, and Plot line was new and fresh.
I really liked that It All Started With An Apple, isn't it cool?????
I remember loving the side character as much as the main characters, I really liked that author didn't portrayed the popular one evils like we read in all "high school" books.
And and and .. that last presentation that the h did, really broke my heart. The tears were pouring and i was having difficulty to read because of blurry eyes.
I would've given it a 4 star if the ending was realistic but then i would've been heart-broken but as we all know "Reality is Bitch". So, a realistic ending is much.
All in all- I Totally Recommend you this book for all the book slumps & hangovers!!
I cried. ALOT. This was the most wonderful, emotional, good, happy, sad book. I don't say it was absolutely perfect because it was a little slow paced at times but overall this book made a pretty good impression on me. Total must-read.
I started this book and immediately knew it was gonna be good. I can't wait to put a physical copy on my shelf! I love Brianne and her attitude and Dannon is so sweet! I woke up a 2:30 in the morning and couldn't go back to sleep, so I finished the book. I laughed, I cried, and then went throughout the day thinking of that. I actually stopped reading for a second when (SPOILER) Dannon admitted he had cancer. I loved it but it ripped my heart out of my chest...in a good way. I'm gonna re-read it when I can hold it in my hands! Can't wait!
This book was really good. Throughout the book, it was like I was on a emotional roller coaster! I got upset, laughed, cried, cringed and smiled. The huge plot twist in the middle of the book was horrible! I didn’t even think anything like that could happen and was shook. I really liked the plot of the book and liked all the character development. I really liked the ending of the book. It ending differently then I thought it was going to. Overall 4 star rating.
I couldn't bring myself to finish reading this book when I found out that Dannon was going to die. It's Christmas for goodness sakes! I can't handle the kind of sadness and depression a lovable character dying would cause. I may come back and finish the book later but I don't know if I can handle it.
If you're wondering why I'm updating this review, it's because I just read this book...again...for the third time. #sorrynotsorry The story is amazing, and the characters are even better. I think I cried more than the last two times I read this book, so obviously I need help.
I first read this book on Wattpad and it was amazing. That ending got me so happy, I was smiling from ear to ear. It's a great book and I suggest everyone to go read it. 5/5 stars for me
Picked this up again purely for nostalgic reasons. I remember really liking this when I was thirteen and forgot almost everything about it as a twenty-three year old. In hindsight, I can understand why I liked it as a preteen on Wattpad. Reading it as an adult, however, did leave a sour taste in my mouth because the writing was honestly not that great.
I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a bit of cheese romance. But who dosen`t like chesse and romance. I litteraty fell in love with the Dannon character. He had a really easy going personality and it made the story to go in another diffrent level. I think that everyone fell in love with his charecter and when Kyla had a tough time figuring out his "appointments" we were wondering the same thing. I liked the book a lot and i suggest it to other people because it gives you the cheese and the drama you need in life in the right quantity. 5/5
So, don't get me wrong I used to love Wattpad stories but lately I haven't had much of an interest.
I read around half of this story. There wasn't any depth. The romance is the only element in this story, there wasn't much plot and there was also a long list of potholes.
The structure was probably my main issue with this story. The writer makes it impossible for our main character to be kept apart from the love interest, it's almost on the boarder of stalking.
It was to obvious that the love interest has a deadly illness of some kind.
The 'funny' parts weren't humorous in the slightest and everything was just too overdone. There wasn't anything I liked to be honest.
It was all just a little to tedious. How this story has a four star average I don't know!
I don't think this story is worth anyone's time but then again, maybe I'm getting to old for Wattpad.
I am in love with this book .And the author thought that it would be fun to make me cry for 18 chapters . Why ? . I may be the emotional girl but imagine me sleeping at the night that too after finishing a chapter where he disclosed that he has cancer and he has just three months to live . Just Three months ! . No wonder I had dream of myself dying . And I personally wanted him alive . He was just so good . Though Bri was such a jerk to him at first , he didn't give up . And to tell the truth I hated Kyla and Bri's family at first because they are just overly energetic and very stubborn about intruding personal space . Miracles do happen . I really gained my faith in hope after reading this . Overall I love this book , the characters and the story line. Though I was in a pool of tears for more than 16 chapters , I loved this . Thank God ! he is alive .
