A Witch... and Her Boy Toy In a world where sorcery reigns supreme, bumbling witch-in-training Louise Francoise Le Blanc de La Valliere is known by her classmates at the Tristan Academy of Magic as "Louise the Zero." During an important coming-of-age ritual where each student must summon a lifelong familiar, Louise proves that she's the ultimate klutz when she mistakenly conjures a teenage boy from Earth. Now, whether they like it or not, Louise and her unwilling servant, Saito, are bound to each other by the laws of magic for all eternity!
The third volume in my omnibus and I enjoyed it greatly. I will definitely have to see if I can find the other omnibus(ses) because I want to see how the story continues (been a long time since I saw the show so not all the details are there, not to mention that the manga my have more details than the anime). We meet Louise's old friend, princess Henrietta. I really liked her and I love that she sought help with her friend. Love the backstory we got. And then the quest starts and oh my Louise's fiancé is making an appearance. I love that Louise is unsure about the engagement and that Saitou was jealous (though he could have shown it a bit better given how he went to Kirsche when she appeared). There is a lot more happening, there is a lot riding on this quest. And there are threats to the countries. Oh my. There is tons of humour next to all the seriousness and I am definitely shipping Louise and Saitou together, because it is clear they both like each other but don't dare to say it out loud. Especially Louise. :P Great art!
This one's definetly my favorite of the series so far. It very loosly emcompasses episodes 12 and 13 -and I mean LOOSLY -with a very abrupt ending. There's no mention of the eclipse or any hint of Saito being able to return home. However, I absolutely LOVED Saito living in the courtyard and getting drunk with the other familiars ^.^
