Sandy Fraser lived in Southern California but passed away in 1999. We at Red Sage Publishing, along with her fans, will miss her. Sandy, an accomplished author, was also published in book-length women’s fiction, but she pushed the sensuality envelope telling the forbidden in Secrets.
All stories get 1 star. None them made much sense. Especially 3rd, and 4th. I checked out each story, they all failed to tell a hot, steamy, and normal tale. I'm glad I didn't pay for this one. I'm sorry, but this is a waste of time reading.
"Alias Smith and Jones" - 4.5 stars, just for the memorable imagery of the love scenes. The plot became a bit odd towards the end with that thing with he hero's grandfather, but I guess anything is possible with the rich and powerful. An enjoyable story with lots of chemistry.
"Strictly Business" - 4 stars. As usual, the love and marriage thing seems to be happening a little fast, even if the characters already know each other. About the plot twist towards the end, I haven't really decided if it's for the best or not. Is as if the author decided the story was a little boring and needed some adrenaline (which it was and which it did). But maybe she should have opted for another kind of twist.
Insatiable - 3.5 stars. In my opinion the characters are "in lust" with each other and just beginning to fall in love. He is an eccentric artist, so we can find excuses for his behavior, but the truth is they are both acting childish. Still, there are some funny moments and I like the tension and the sparks the second time they meet.
"Beneath Two Moons" - (I'm just not in the mood for it right now, but I sense it's not bad)
I liked this one the least of the five Secrets collections I've read. Very 90's, very rape-y. Only the first story was somewhat appealing, the rest just had creepy elements to them.
