As a child I remember reading this book and mainly watching the movie, it is aha great book... I also remember trying to set up my devorced parents like they did in the book. But unfortunately I do not have an identical twin sister, so that plane never did fly.
The Parent trap by Hallie Marshall is a really unrealistic book because Hallie went to a summer camp and she saw and met her long lost twin sister named Anne. The dad had custody of Hallie and the mom had custody of Anne. Then they switched places. Also there parents had to switch them back and they fall in love a again. I would recommend this book to 6th and 7th graders because it's all about romance.
This is an adaptation of the Lohan film in very much the same way that the earlier book was an adaptation of the Mills film. I've seen them both a dozen times, and so as I read this one, I could see/hear the movie playing out. Neither book had anything I didn't recognize from the movie(s). Some adaptations are written from early drafts of scripts and you get new material. Not here. A cute quick read.
Disney’s The Parent Trap by Haillie Marshall made one of now my favorite books because this book is about 2 twins that were seprated but they meet at camp and they pretend to be each other to see their parents. I like this book because this book is crazy. I would prefer this book to 5th to middle school.
A very fun read for young readers, particularly between 7 and 10 years old. Got nothing to do with the original book. This one follows the movie entirely. It's very hard to find a physical copy, and there is no audiobook. Short, quick, cute.
This book also has a personal connection to my childhood. It was based off of a Disney movie, as is shown on the cover page. I read this particular book in the higher levels of elementary as it was a chapter book. I connect this to my mom as well as we went to see the movie together in the theater. Afterward, we each bought a copy of the book and read the story at the same time. We were able discuss what we liked more about the book and what we didn't really like. My relationship with my mother grew and benefited from reading particular books in my childhood. It was something we could share and have in common. This could also be a fun book for the classroom as another example of students being able to compare similarities and differences between the book and the movie.
I really want to read this book, i saw the movie an i really want to read the book too. This is a fantastic story about to girls that meet in a summer camp and there twins, but each one of them didn't meet one part of there parents, so what they do is they switch and go to the places to meet there parent that they didn't meet.
