Georges Prosper Remi (22 May 1907 – 3 March 1983), better known by the pen name Hergé, was a Belgian comics writer and artist. His best known and most substantial work is The Adventures of Tintin comic book series, which he wrote and illustrated from 1929 until his death in 1983, leaving the twenty-fourth Tintin adventure Tintin and Alph-Art unfinished. His work remains a strong influence on comics, particularly in Europe.
"Hergé" is the pseudonym of George Remí, making a game with the initials of his name inverted. Throughout the evolution of his star character, Tintin, we can see the progress of this author: from the first titles marked by the ultraconservative doctrine of the director of the newspaper Le Petit Vingtième, to the breaking of conventions embodied from The Blue Lotus , as well as the evolution of the society of his time. The research carried out by Hergé to historically contextualize his Adventures, as well as his implicit social criticism, have made Tintin a masterpiece of the 20th century.
»»» Sentimento final: Bastante bom.

Despite being published as the fourth tome, it combines with the third to make the first story « Le Rayon du Mystère » of the series which didn't make it to album form until after the later-created « Stratonef » adventure.
I rarely read such adventure tomes all->at->once, and much less two in a row, which means that this diptych is very approachable and engaging with easy readability!
Despite being being so early in his career, released in 1939 weekly installments, his art already had the same clear-line refinement of the quality that would influence countless worldwide and define a huge percentage of Belgian bd for so many decades! (The first Tintin (USSR) is the only work of his that has a totally 'undrafted' look to me.)
I liked this story better than the first two books. This is the first book of two episodes. I was more engaged in this story than the previous books. I am glad that I also had the second book so I didn't have to wait to continue reading.
This one is pretty similar with the last one. The character jocko seems funnier and main rescuer here. The ending part of mad scientist looks little interesting, but overall its average.
(Bayangkan!
I read the previous instalment from a PDF translating it from French with Google Glass. This time have a copy of the book in French (1952 version). As Before, I have a PDF of the 1936/7 black and white version for comparison (I say more about the that in my previous entry).
It was originally published in Le Petit Vingtième newspaper with red and green half tone colouring but the black and white edition (2003) loses that in favour of just the line work and some grey half tones. I don't think the original versions were ever collected as albums.
It seems Hergé got bored of his story and goes off on several tangents - or maybe he just needed to pad it out - he revisits some imagery from Tintin's American adventure but there's enough novel imagery to excite any Herge fan coming to it for the first time.
