The final instalment of the Evolution Trilogy from David Estes was good. Archangel Evolution saw the end of the trilogy close, but left enough of a story there for another book if David so desired. Perhaps not part of this set of books, but maybe another one set at a later time, with different characters, in the same world after the events in the Evolution Trilogy.

All the usual characters were back in this story, but I felt like it was all a little too happy. The raw emotion of the first book seemed to be missing in this one. Perhaps it was a change in David's writing style, I'm not sure, but I didn't feel as connected with Taylor, Gabriel, Sam or Chris in this book.

I did feel like Sam got a bit more of a look in, as we got to see a bit more of her which was nice, though at one point I did want to throttle her for being so silly. (Wanting make-up over food!! I mean really?)

Monkeys are not marsupials!

Yes, rather random I know, but there's two points in the book where monkeys are labelled marsupials. Unless there's a breed of monkey out there that gives birth to live young and carries them around in a pouch that I'm not aware of, then the use of this word is incorrect.

The editing on this book was good. I didn't pick up a single error :)

I wanted to know more about Rocky, there seemed to be a lot of backstory about Taylor and Rocky, yet it didn't really come into play in the books. Was it just filler? I think not, but it didn't seem to have much of a purpose. I also enjoyed the characters Sampson and Kiren; I'd like to have known more about them, about their relationship.

Overall, I liked the book, but the ending was too neat, the climax was a bit 'wishy-washy' and just seemed to 'happen' rather than be constructed. This made it a bit harder to swallow.

I would recommend this trilogy to all YA fans, to people who enjoy a light-hearted paranormal romance (since that's a bit of that throughout) or younger teens from about age 13-14 and up.

The last book in the Evolution Trilogy kept me guessing til the end. David Estes' writing gets better with each book he writes and I enjoy each one more than the last. I still was not a huge fan of the heroine, Taylor, but at least she finally realized in the end that you can be a strong woman and still welcome the support of those who love you.
The twists and turns towards the end were exciting and I really did not know which way it was going to go until the final battle.

Jasmines review:
It’s hard to put into words how sad I am to see this series end. It was more amazing then I ever would have thought. So much love and excitement. Kiren and Sampson are so cute. I wouldn't expect a demon to fall for an angel. I'm glad Sam found someone and was a part of the story. She’s defiantly my favorite character. When Sam was kidnap Chris's whole personality changed. This shows how much he cares for her. Taylor and Gabriel are my favorite couple. Their so adorable. I hope every one of these couples get married and have little babies :). I admire Taylor. Her strength is unbelievable. She started off as an everyday human. Then next thing you know she’s this super powerful archangel. Dionysus was extremely creepy. He turned David into a monster :(. The storyline defiantly kept me reading. I liked how we didn't have to wait till the end for the action. Overall this book and series are absolutely amazing. If you haven't read this I highly recommend it. 5/5 stars

Marissas review:
This is going to be a review for Archangel Evolution but it will probably go on and on about how good the whole series is. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was it completely took me by surprise. Let me tell you what I like best about these books.
The plot: It may seem like just another angel vs. demon book but it's not. The angels are super evil and the demons are super good. It's reversed and I've never read anything like it. There's never a dull moment.
The Characters: I loved the characters. I've said this in the reviews for the other books in this series but I can't help it the characters are amazing. Taylor is hilarious and strong (yes I know I've said that every time too) I love how even though she does fall in love she stays true to herself and doesn't let it blind her. Gabriel is adorable he's not perfect he's made mistakes but he's made up for them and then some. Sam is awesome she's girly but tough at the same time I loved her relationship with Taylor they were both there when they needed each other. Chris like Gabriel was adorable and he was hilarious. Sampson and Kiren were really cute. I liked how Taylor and Kiren bonded in this book and how close Gabriel and Sampson were. And I love Kirens hair :) Rocky was so cute I loved him. Dionysus was so incredibly creepy and David was so evil and so sad. I really liked Clifford :(
The Romance: It may not seem like it but these books were very cute. There was not one but three couples in this and I loved that. I think Taylor and Gabriel were my favorite they were so cute and their banter was so funny. Sam and Chris were adorable and it was so sweet how upset Chris got when Sam was taken and I love how they were always sneaking off to do stuff together ;). I loved how even though Sampson was an angel and Kiren was a demon they looked past that and really loved each other.
And despite all that there was still tons of action. So both guys and girls would love this.
Wow that was long I just couldn't help it these books are awesome and the author deserves tons of recognition. Overall I thought this was an amazing conclusion to the series I loved all the training, action, humor and romance. Even though I'm sad to see it end I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next :)
5/5 stars!

This final installment in the Evolution Trilogy by David Estes was amazing! I feel that the writing just progressed tremendously through the series and so I have to say Archangel Evolution was my favorite! We had already seen a lot of growth in the characters and it keeps coming all through the book. There was plenty of action that was written beautifully, and I just flew through the pages! I thought the final chapters were perfect and balanced, in that they weren't just wrapped up with a pretty "happily ever after" bow, but made sense and worked perfectly with the story. There was a loose thread left dangling that could develop into another book, but would be just fine left up to the reader's imagination.

The whole series was great, especially considering this is David Estes' first! Well done David! Everyone who enjoys YA fantasy should read this.

Dionysus was the first demon to evolve into an angel. Now he has figured out how to evolve into a super-angel. Stronger, faster, more powerful than ever. The entire archangel council uses the same technique to create a new species calling themselves archangels. They also have some new, very cool parlor tricks to add to their fighting capabilities. Is it enough to finally defeat the demons and annihilate the species?

I suffered a bit of trepidation through this story. Knowing this was the last book in the series, I worried about separation anxiety as I was not ready to give up my new "friends" when I finished the series.

Estes developed the characters skillfully and made them fully three dimensional in my mind. I want to plan a road trip to go hang out with the gang at college, eating mushroom pizza and playing pool. Visit the Lair and watch gargoyle training sessions. Spend some time flirting with a hunky supernatural being to find my own soul mate.

The different settings were so well described that I can picture them easily in my mind's eye and believe that they are real places that I can go visit.

I cannot stress enough how enjoyable this series was. I have been wanting to read it since I had originally read Angel Evolution back in December of 2011. It was well worth the wait and did not disappoint even with all the anticipation that I had built up. My advice: take a couple days off work and send the kids to summer camp because you gotta read this series.

This book had so many wonderful parts to it. The down time with the normal conversations and joking around were such a pleasant way to go through this journey of the constant excitment and build up to the war. David writing in this book was so unbelievable, my head was spinning from the visuals he placed so perfectly in my mind. I absolutely loved the scene in the stadium when they were under attack. I did not see that coming and was completly surprised by it. I love being surprised! the other scene that was so beautiful to me was when Taylor was in training and really harnessed her powers. I wanted to read that over and over because I felt that Taylor was finising that balance that she was searching for, for so long. Being in love, but also knowing she was her own person. She didn't know it at the time, but it would finally come to her later in the book. That scene was just a hint of what was to come.

Chris is the perfect guy. Tough and rough but not really. LOL he's so sensitive, but when he needs to, he can really step up to the plate and do what he has to do. I was upset when in first read that Clifford died. But he died peacefully and honorably. I was really hoping that David would have "woken up", but I was surprised at myself when the ending came and with what happened with David.

All in all, a great read!!!!

Seriously disappointed! I think that’s the best way to sum up my feelings when I finished this book. Why you ask? Well, that’s easy, because the series is over, and I really didn’t want it to end!

I have to admit that after reading the first book, I was a little iffy about the series, but wow, did it surprise me in the end. The characters really evolved as the books went on, and I find myself hoping that Estes will expand this and give us more.

Archangel Evolution had a perfect mix of action, humor and romance. In this segment, I was on the edge of my seat, holding my breath and even giggling uncontrollably at times as Taylor and her closely-knit group of friends struggled to defeat their enemy and end the war between Good and Evil.

Estes did a wonderful job tying up the loose ends and pulling the story together without rushing the ending. If I wasn’t fully satisfied when the last page came around, it was simply because I wish it didn’t have to end. Like I said before, I can only hope Estes will continue with this series and with the way things were left, there is definitely room for more to come.

For all you Angel lovers out there, The Evolution Trilogy is a refreshingly different take on Angels and Demons and is a definitely a must read.

I am actually sad this author does not have another book out. I do not often read male authors this is the third male author that I can say I would read his books in the future. I try to give reviews without spoilers. I enjoyed the fact that this is not your normal good vs. evil series/trilogy. Archangel Evolution is more action, suspense, and humor. There were also one or two sad scenes and implied love scenes.

Read the Angel Evolution Trilogy first because the second and third Trilogy will pick up were the other one let off, I enjoyed that. I may have rated this book as a 4 star (Love it I do not want to put it down) but you just may give it a 5 star (Love it I could not put the book down and I want to read it again). I loved the bonus Chapter and the anticipation of wondering what the author is going to write about next.

I will not provide any spoilers, I will keep this simple.... it was AMAZING!!!!

Archangel Evolution did not disappoint, a prefect way to end this trilogy. Once again there is non-stop suspense and this time more action as Taylor begins to hone in on what she has become and what she is capable of. A true archangel stronger, faster and good of heart.

Each character plays a key role in stopping this war that was started for selfish reasons. And they played there parts nicely. Everything was written very well. Throughout this trilogy I was never confused; everything that was written made perfect sense and flowed nicely.

I was left thinking that there is a possibility for more books due to a few loose ends, David for instance or even Sam for that matter but I will let my imagination roam!

I am so sad that its over!

All I can really say is wow, Fantastically written book worth every minute I spent reading it,I couldn't put it down till I was done reading it. It is so different from many angel and demon books out there and catches a readers interest from the first chapter all the way till the end.

My favorite quote from the book is

His wings burst from his back, arching over his head, shining magnificently. "My wings are white!" he declared." But they would be no less beautiful if they were black! There is no dark or light, We are all human inside, all different, all good, all bad. All human" he repeated.
"None better, none worse. All equal." Gabriel

I will definitely give this series a 5. I really enjoyed it. I had a hard time with the whole switch of daemons and angels roles (but that is just because of my personal belief). I was almost not going to read it after the first book describe this role play. However, I did and found myself really enjoying the story. After all, isn't that what fiction is about! I will be following David, so that I will have a chance to read more of his great work. I have a feeling we will soon be seeing "The Demonangel" (wink)

Before starting this series, I was ambivalent about Angel stories. They were ok for me, but not my favorite genre. And then enters Mr. Estes and The Evolution Trilogy. I am now a big fan of this genre and will be adding many more to my TBR list from here on out. This series turns the whole concept of Angels and Demons on its head producing an exciting unique tale that I loved! I am sad that this series is finished and hope that David decides to continue as I can see a glimmer of hope that there could be more...! Well done, David Estes! WELL done!!!

Started off...not slowly but kind of annoying. Taylor kept saying things like "hell yeah" and being really cocky. I didn't like that at all. Finally she got off her high horse and started acting more normal and I started really getting into the story again.

The only issue I really have with this series is how perfect everything is. Best friends fall in love at the same time, every one has someone to be with in the end...everything is sunshine and rainbows. Clifford dies but I didn't really care because obviously he had to.

The third book in th Evolution trilogy. What can I say about it? Awesome, amazing, thrilling... David Estes you are a genius! This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt such intense emotion to the main characters and their cause. I went from happy to angry and every emotion in between through out this book. I caught myself laughing out loud numerous times. The perfect ending to the best trilogy ever!

Final installment in this great series, was different from other angel/demon books and certainly loved the twist that the demons are the good guys!

Taylor and Gabriel were great in this series and grow in each book.. I like the fact that their love for each other isnt the main focus and that the peace between both sides and humans is the main focus!

Really enjoyed this series and looking forward to reading more books by this amazing author!

WOW! The plot of this book was much much more stronger than the last book. I was really upset with how things turned out with Gabriel's brother it was horrible. The worst was that the there was no turning back no way to fix what he turned into in the inside. once again great job with this trilogy David Estes, loved it. Go Demons! lol.

After finishing the first 2 books of this Trilogy I couldn't wait to read this one. David Estes didn't disappoint me! Humor, Action, and the love story that I loved reading in this series were still present in this final book. My only disappointment is that I don't have another book to read!

The final book from the Evolution Trilogy by David Estes. As the series progressed, the story became better. You can expect more action, conflicts, twists and turns from this book.

Archangel Evolution did not disappoint. I was hanging on to the suspense that David threw my way. I experienced shock, awe, happiness and all sorts of emotions in this final book.

This book bled into my dreams. It was a great way to end a series, but I was sad that it ended, too.

Quote I liked from the book:
"When you find true love, the love that you can’t live without, the love that fills you with joy, you hold onto that love until the day you die."

the great war was finally here and it ended with a... erm... flash of light?
that's right folks. i was at a skimming mode since it was midnight already and i wanted to finish off the book asap. before i knew it, 'zap', taylor the archangel had developed a new power, which caused total annihilation to the bad archangels, all except for david. oh man, the whole thing was so anti-climax. i was expecting a better story on how taylor or gabriel would finished off the bad guy but.... huh, a flash of unexplainable light? that was all it took? come on....
i guess the auhor plans to have another trilogy in the future by having david around... until then they all lived happily ever after.

This book is a great ending to the trilogy. In fact, I think it's the best book of the entire trilogy! I would recommend this trilogy to anyone who loves stories about angels and demons but is looking for something different.
