The Dreamtime Fairies is a sweet story about Lucy and her brother Jamie. When Jamie can't sleep, Lucy suggests that they go on an adventure to find The Dreamtime Fairies. So they go on an adventure far far away and ask different animals along the way if they know where to find the Dreamtime Fairies. Each animal follows them along the journey, until they finally find the fairies. Then the fairies flutter their wings and the children fall asleep.
I think that this is a fun book for children K-2 because the illustrations are phenomenal and the story is fun to follow along with! When I was reading it, I was having a fun time also! I also really liked this book because the background is dark on some pages, but the characters are bright and almost look like they are lit up. This would be a good book to keep in a classroom library as well because it has a great story line and interesting illustrations!

This book is written in the vein of many other children's books, being scared so seeking something fantastical or magical as a solution. Then asking for help from one person after another that they come upon in their adventure to find their goal. There just wasn't much difficulty built up to finding the goal in this story (the fairies), and the fairies weren't believeable. I just don't imagine a child being interested in this story.

This was my childhood all time favorite bedtime book! The illustrations are so cute and actually 'dreamy' which is perfect before sleep! Many kids can connect to this book because think of all the times you couldn't fall asleep and your parents kept telling you to! The stuffed animals that travel with her just make it even easier to connect to the story!

I enjoyed this book and thought it was cute that in the end the fairies and animals were a part of the children’s bedroom. Also the message that sometimes you gave to go through darkness to find light. It just didn’t feel super special to me, but I did really like it.

Grade level: K-2

When Jamie and Lucy can't sleep one night, they travel far away with their stuffed animals to get help from the dreamtime faires. On their way, they run into many other animals in the forrest who help lead them to the deep forrest to find the fairies.

This is a cute story that I enjoyed and so will children because of the magical illustrations and fun adventure the children go on.
