This was a bit of a difficult read for me. I was excited to read it, the premise sounded amazing and interesting, but it took a while for me to become absorbed in the story. Maybe about 50% of the way through there was a huge revelation that made me sit up and I was tearing through pages quickly. Then the pacing slowed down again and I started to pin point a lot of things that made me disappointed in the whole book overall. Some of these things may be personal preferences and may not impact other people's reading experience, it just wasn't for me.

The dialogue overall was very awkward. I didn't notice it as much at the beginning of the book, then it became an issue. None of the dialogue felt very natural, it was almost overly descriptive. Even during action scenes, the characters would stop and have long conversations. Ummm? Swords are swinging behind you, why are there paragraphs of dialogue? There was also a lot of awkward phrasing and word choices that I don't think fit what was trying to be conveyed. I don't want this point to be a huge minus, but it did make for slow reading and jarred me out of the story quite a bit.

There was also a lot of confusion for me in the back story of these girls. I didn't understand Hannah's relationship with all her guy friends and to find out later that they were all wolves made it even more confusing. Were they sent to protect her? How could they have been when no one knew that she was a descendent of Caelan? Was it just a big coincidence they were all wolves? If they could sense she was one, why didn't they tell her? I also didn't feel emotionally connected to any of these girls. Hannah was so rude and I didn't understand why she hated Sabina so much. This supposed great love of Cammie and James didn't feel authentic because none of their history was shown. Besides very few flashbacks and one weird date scene, there was nothing to them. And when he's dying on the ground, Cammie is screaming at everyone about not knowing what to do, including biting Sabina's head off for asking her what she can do, when Cammie LITERALLY has the power to heal.

Like I said, I wanted to love this story. It really did have an awesome premise and it was unique. It just wasn't executed very well in my opinion and I lacked a connection to any of the characters.

A beautiful adventure story with three strong and independent heroines. Enticing action and believable characters pull you into the author’s realistic and original world. It is a story that leaves you craving more.

I enjoyed how different all three of the main characters were, but they didn’t feel pidgeon-holed into a typecast. While there were a lot of combat scenes, some of the plot seemed slow, but I didn’t mind. I felt myself compelled to continue reading with each turn of the page.

I received an ARC in exchange for honest reviews, and I simply can’t wait for the rest of the series!

This was a tough read for me and took me a lot longer to finish than usual. Now, while I enjoy YA, this one just didn’t work for me, however, that doesn’t mean it won’t work for a different reader.

Twisted Bond started off strong; I enjoyed the multiple POVs, but then I got lost until about 50% of the way. The girls stories just weren’t lining up for me…maybe I needed more backstory. Annnd, then I found myself lost again.

The dialogue felt forced, and unnatural. There was a lot of repetitive descriptions, that I felt were unnecessary. A lot of hurry up and run, but not a lot happening, I was left with a lot of questions. I think had the book been a lot shorter, this could have worked better.

Thank you for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

I received Twisted Bond in return for an honest review as part of the tour hosted R&R Book Tours.

Three former friends each living their own lives until they suddenly collide in a whirlwind adventure that will test them all and change their lives forever. Sabrina can't seem to do anything right living at home and jumps at the chance to help Cammie who's struggling with a forgotten memory while Hannah jumps at the chance to leave home with her friends only to end up kidnapped by a stranger.

I love the girls each one brings something to the trio and they each complement the others even if they haven't seen each other in a while. They still have this strong connection, but I think Sabrina is my favorite there is just something about her I find interesting. However, I feel like Cammie is a lot like me as she loves books too and Hannah is a bit of a wildcard at the moment.

I really felt like I was able to connect with all the girls as we had a little more inside into how they are feeling and their story even thought Hannah wasn't my favorite I still liked her in the end. I love multiple pov I think it's why I was able to connect with all the girls. Twisted Bond is full of action packed suspense adventure that kept me on my toes till the very end. I loved all the paranormal elements, and the way the girls are dragged into another world.

I really enjoyed the world building that went into tying the girls together and into another magical world it. I ended up devouring the over just a couple days as she's a little on the chunky side, but I'm sure if I had all day to read I could easy finish it in just one. I found the story captivating and it just drew me in I had to know what would happen next to our girls. The author has done a lovely job weaving an enchanting story and I can't wait for the next book to see what happens next.

Ok this is a very interesting story and I honestly liked it a lot! You get the POV of the three friends and what is happening with them. Because even though they story is connected, they are all different in their own way. It's very detailed and I love that so much. Honestly all the three girls at one point got me so mad. Because of the way they were acting. But the author did such a good job at making me mad at them. Hannah I was always mad at but it fit her character so well I loved it. Honestly it did feel a little rushed at the end when they were fighting on foe, but I honestly can't wait for the next book to see what happens!

OMG I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!

I went into this book fully blind, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! I wasn’t expecting anything the author threw my way, and the plot twists just kept coming!

I really liked that there was never a slow moment during this book. The world building wasn’t super boring and intense, and you get thrown right into the action!!

I received an ARC copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

I think the premise of this book is super interesting but the execution fell flat for me. I DNF’ed at 60%. I wanted to push myself to finish especially since it was an ARC, but here we are :(

I think the structure, providing 3 separate POV’s, kept me from really enjoying any of them. The shorter chapters really emphasized this; so you’re constantly switching back and forth between the 3 girls but never really getting to fully dive into their thoughts/feelings/emotions.

I feel like it was also disjointed in how old the characters are meant to be, compared to how they act, and how they speak/think. The dialog felt forced to me. As if it was dialog written for one character but delivered by multiple characters who are all very different and should therefore have very different ways of speaking. Leading to giving a very surface level feeling all around.

This was a tough read for me to be honest! I usually read YA and enjoy them but this book took me about 60-70% to really get into it and even then, there were a lot of things that truly annoyed me!

My favourite parts were the plot, the actual story line and the twists that came with it! This was done well in my opinion and even when I had just read the synopsis, I was super excited to read this book as it has three POVs (I'm a fan of multiple POVs) and their lives are intertwined. The premises of the story was done excellently and for that, I gave this book 3 stars.

Now, to go on to the parts I didnt enjoy: the dialogue!! It felt like they were a lot younger than their actual age that was mentioned in the book, especially Hannah's dialogue and her hating on Sabina every chance she can get. I still dont understand the reason behind that hate other than Sabrina's social standing but there was no growth behind this (as in, Hannah and Sabina's relationship never fully changed or starting making more sense throughout the book).

I was very close to DNFing the book but pushed through it because, as I mentioned above, I really liked the plot and the actual story. I will most likely be giving book two a chance as well, but I truly hope that the dialogue improves by then.

Thank you to R&R for the eArc in exchange for my honest opinion.

A great fantasy full of action, adventure, and bonds reforged.

Cammie, Sabina, and Hannah were best friends but as months apart turn into years, the girls grew distant. Then all at once, the girls are brought back together quite suddenly nearly a decade later. Cammie starts to have memories with a person she’s never met, Sabina struggles to help her childhood friend, while Hannah seems to be caught in an ongoing war. One person appears to hold the answers, Caelan – a person none of the girls know but have to place their trust in. Why are these things happening? Are things really as they seem? The girls must figure that out together.

I really enjoyed reading this story. At first, I had no clue where the plot would go, I only knew this was a fantasy. The book doesn’t start off fantastical at all. It is wholly mundane, following the lives of Cammie, Sabina, and Hannah. All vastly different women with vastly different lives. But not for long. Oh boy, was I surprised. Once the action starts, it hardly stops. And it is definitely fantastical.

There was never a lull in the plot, questions arise and questions are answered, the pacing was great. The world building was good, at times there was a lot to take in and I imagine I felt how the FMC’s felt when they learnt about things or were told about things.

The FMC’s were all expertly written – this book was 3 POV’s and I never once confused any of the characters. They were all given their own personality, their own life, their own problems, and their own story. I could not honestly pick a favourite as they all had qualities that I connected with. Their relationships with each other was another good part, especially at the beginning where Sabina and Hannah are seemingly more estranged than with Cammie. This actually happens in real relationships so I appreciated this touch as it made it feel more real.

If you’re looking for a book that will surprise you, keep you thoroughly entertained, and exceed your expectations, I recommended picking this one up.

Thank you to R&R Book Tours and Katlyn for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A beautiful written story

I want to start off by saying. That I apologize for a late review. I usually don’t waste anytime. In writing my reviews. Second I was given a complimentary ebook copy. In return for my honest thoughts and review. Third I absolutely love this book so much. That half way through I ordered my own finished ebook copy. I wanted to take my time reading this book. I didn’t want to miss anything while reading. This book is definitely on the favorites of 2023 list for me. The characters and the world development amazing. There were a few times and characters where I thought okay they up to something.
I loved that each of the girls personally very opposite of each other. Hannah personality gave me that she doesn’t need anyone and that she a strong person. Which is okay to have. But had a bit of attitude with Cammie and Sabina. I am sure she was never always like with them. I feel maybe she is that way because she lost her mother when she was younger. Only left with her dad.
Cammie and Sabina seem very closer to each other. Just by the way Sabina came to Cammie when she needed her.
I enjoyed each POV from each of the girls. Caelan was bit of a mystery person. I didn’t expect him to be a big piece of this story. I loved his overprotecting personality. But I also felt very sad for him. Watching so many die around him. This book has so many turn and twists and mystery. It’s definitely a page turner. And I world that you get sucked into. I can’t t wait for book two. And what becomes of these characters.
Thank you again to the author and RRbooktours for the opportunity to read such a beautifully written book. Love this world and the characters.

I read Twisted Bond for a book tour hosted by the author and Hidden Hollow Book Tours. Thank you to both for inviting me along and for the gifted e-arc. I really enjoyed this!

Cammie, Hannah, and Sabina were friends that went their separate ways. Each one had a life of her own. Now suddenly they're brought together by something that none of them expected, or even believed in.

Of the three, Sabina is my favorite. She tends to be a bit of a peacekeeper, though, which doesn't sit with my own personality. But she was the least resistant to the changes that were rapidly taking place. Oh, she was shocked at first, but she didn't dig her heels in and refuse to try.

Hannah was infuriating to me. Her angry outbursts were over the top. She misread every situation and reacted as if it was all an affront to her personally. I get it. She was totally freaked out and went through something pretty horrific. But she refused to actually listen to anyone. That alone made things much harder than they had to be.

I love the journey that all these characters were forced on. Their whole lives were thrown upside down and shaken, not stirred. You don't know if they'll ever really come through or even adapt to these new revelations. The shock and surprise would've been too much for most people.

This story is full of twists and turns. There are so many revelations for so many of the characters that I decided that nothing was as it seemed and just waited to watch things play out. It was action-packed and fairly fast-moving. It ends on a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the second book!

I recommend Twisted Bond to fans of YA fantasy, slow-burn romance, paranormal fantasy, multiple POV, hidden magical world, great world building, and a little bit of urban fantasy.

This was an awesome read for me! I really enjoyed the plot, the world-building, and most of all, I enjoyed the characters and Found Family in this book!

Cammie, Sabina, and Hannah were all best friends and over time, grew apart. Certain circumstances throw back together again, and there is a lot of mystery and secrets that need to come to light. I really enjoyed how the characters were all written. They all have such different personalities that play off each other so well. I was able to find something to connect with for each character and I loved that so much. They each have their own story, strengths, and personalities, and we get to see each of their POVs so I absolutely loved that so much!

The twists and turns in this book were so exciting and made it such a thrilling page turner for me. I couldn’t put it down! The world building and plot were woven together very well and it just made for such an enthralling read!

Overall, I definitely recommend reading this! It’s officially available now AND is on KU!🎉

I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED this book so much! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! Most definitely my favorite read of October and one of my favorites of 2023. Katlyn did an absolutely amazing job with Twisted Bond.

Gorgeous cover? Check! I know i am forever raving about this book cover but it’s seriously because I love it so much, I could stare at it all day.

Likeable, relatable Characters? Check! The three main girls, Hannah, Sabina, and Cammie were all different from one another but I also felt like they complimented each other with their differences. In the past the girls had been close at one time but life happens and sometimes friends drift apart because of it. That didn’t stop them from coming together again when Cammie needed them. I loved getting all three of their POVs! Most definitely helps you understand each one and why they are the way they are.

Great plot? Check, check, check! I absolutely loved the plot as a whole and that world building? Chef’s kiss baby! truly amazing! I loved all of the action and the magic! Also the fae. Freaking love it! I’m going to stay vague on the plot and world building because I will absolutely spill the beans and give everything away.

I would highly recommend Twisted Bond to anyone who enjoys ya fantasy with great world building, action and well who doesn’t love books with the Fae in it?? I read the ebook but the physical book is most definitely going on my Christmas wishlist!

Out of the three girls I think Sabina was my favorite and then her and Cammie tied for a bit until the end when Cammie won out. I wasn't Hannah's biggest fan because I couldn't understand where her anger was coming from, I still don't totally understand it but she seemed more reasonable as the book progressed. When all three of them cooperated was my favorite though and I really enjoyed how they could come together and understand how to help each other through their struggles. The big reveal about their relationship was a little hard to believe for a bit since no one commented on similarities between the girls but looking at the character art does make it seem plausible.

The world building was my favorite because there is a lot that's not really explained yet but what was is interesting because the fae so far can either heal or be wolves so I wonder what else they have the ability to do.

The guys had their pros and cons so they were all kinda in the middle but James was my favorite so far. And Will a bit near the middle of the book. I wonder though who will end up with which girls because it seems like some relationships might go further in the next book but that's if new guys aren't introduced.

Overall there was a lot that happened in this book and enjoyed where it left off because I thought it might have been better shorter but the end point was satisfying and felt like a good breather after all that happens.

👍 What I Liked 👍
Twisted Bond had me hooked from the start. The suspense and desire to unravel the mysteries, discover the identities of certain characters, and understand the intriguing world kept me turning the pages. Katlyn Derouen's writing is captivating, and the world she creates is truly fascinating.

The characters in the story are well-crafted. I found myself relating to Cammie, an introvert like me, and I couldn't help but adore Nyx, a troublesome yet compelling character. While the story takes a little while to build momentum, once it does, it dives headfirst into a captivating narrative that keeps you engrossed.

👎 What Could Improve 👎
It's worth noting that Twisted Bond starts a bit slowly, with a gradual build-up before diving into the action and fantasy elements. Some readers may find it takes a bit of patience to get fully absorbed in the story. However, once it grabs your attention, it doesn't let go.

🔥 No Spice, Young Adult 🔥
For readers looking for a clean, young adult fantasy, Twisted Bond delivers without explicit content. It's a story that focuses on friendship, intrigue, and the unknown rather than romance or mature themes.

Twisted Bond by Katlyn Derouen is a thrilling and well-written young adult fantasy novel that offers a unique and engrossing world, intriguing characters, and a suspenseful plot. While it takes a bit to ramp up, the payoff is worth it, making it a must-read for fans of the genre. 📖🌟

After much deliberation, I have decided to make my review based on math. 3.3 ⭐️

Yes yes, 3 and a third. I think, it seems odd. But it is the only number that I can agree to for myself. This story is a multi POV with three different young heroines who were childhood best friends. They lived completely different lives until one day, Cammie becomes deathly ill, Hannah is kidnapped, and Sabina has to trust a stranger in order to save her friends.

Little did they know everything they’ve ever known was going to change.

So. There is alot to love about this story. This is a fun, coming of age, found family of sorts. I enjoyed Cammie and Sabina. Both were interesting characters that had nice character development throughout the story. I truly enjoyed their POVs.

The thing that turned me off on this book, honestly, was Hannah. I really didn’t like her character. I found her to be very problematic and just a bully. I really couldn’t find any redeeming qualities in her for me. I read her POVs because I liked the friends that were featured in them, but kinda skimmed through them because I was just getting very frustrated.

So overall, I am giving it 3.33, aka 2/3 out of 5 stars because I enjoyed two of the POVs out of three.

Thank you to the author for my ARC. The opinions in this review are my own.

This story follows three girls. Cammie the introvert who starts to have visions of a boy she’s never met. Sabina the socialite whose family life is not quite as perfect as it’s made out to be. And Hannah the rebellious one who decides to leave home with friends and encounters someone who is not quite they seem.

Some things I liked: this book hooked me and I just wanted to know what was going on, who some of the people were or what they were, and I just had to keep reading to find out.

I liked some of the characters. I did relate to Cammie the most being an introvert myself and doubting myself a lot. Some of the other characters were intriguing, like Nyx. There’s a lot of characters too!

It’s definitely a story that makes you want to understand what’s going on and forces you to read until you do.

Now, I wanted to really like this book, but it fell a bit short for me. I admit that although I read this book quickly and just wanted to know what was going on, it was a bit annoying because I didn’t understand until 50% through and yet the girls just trusted anyone who came up to them. The characters were all rather on the immature side, and I know it’s YA, I love YA! But this was another level of immaturity from all the characters for me. And am I the only one confused about why these kids aren’t in school and can just do whatever they want??? Did I miss that they’re not in school any longer? And I don’t know why that bothered me so much, but maybe it’s because these kids seemed to be able to do whatever they wanted, and got away with it. It just didn’t seem realistic. There’s a couple other odd things that occur that are explained, but still made me feel uncomfortable 😅

Anyways, it’s a fast moving long story and I enjoyed parts of it, it just wasn’t quite for me. Many will love this though! I received a free digital copy to read. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Three former friends are thrust into a magic world after learning their lives are inextricably tied together through a mystical bond. Not knowing what’s going on, the girls now have to find the answers and figure out how to navigate this world they’re now a part of. One person seems to hold all the answers, but how do they him? And more importantly, why do they trust him?

Fast paced and filled with excitement, I loved learning about this magical world alongside these 3 girls. I felt like I was figuring things out right alongside of them, as the author expertly kept readers guessing and never let us get too far ahead. I loved the bond the girls shared and how that ties in to their present situation. I also really enjoyed how despite growing apart, time put them back together and they were able to reconnect and rediscover the friendship they once shared.

All told, this was an immersive and mysterious first installment, and I can’t wait to see what future books in this series hold for these characters. Definitely pick this one up if you’re a fan of:

⁣⁣⁣➽ Multiple POVs
⁣⁣⁣➽ Immersive world-building
⁣⁣⁣➽ Hidden, magical worlds
⁣⁣⁣➽ Chosen One
⁣⁣⁣➽ Found family
⁣⁣⁣➽ Mysterious, twisty plot with plenty of secrets and revelations

I loved how packed this book was! It was twisted and fun to read. There's three FMCs and I was afraid one or two got lost in the mix but I was way wrong. Everything in this book unraveled and flowed smoothly. There's a lot to love about this book including everything thrown into it like mystery, romance, hidden worlds, secret identity, and so much more. It is not a spicy book but with how engulfed I was in the book I didn't miss it. I can't wait to read what happens next when book two is released.

I love how completely different the FMCs are. Each one has their own strengths and weaknesses, but all three work really well together and compliment each other when they are on the same page....with Hannah that's rare. Cammie is so sweet and soft, Sabina puts others first always, and Hannah is rough to the core but is always trying to do what she thinks is right. There's so many other characters that I wouldn't want to call side characters cause they also play such an important role but there's just too many to praise. Caelan is a stranger turned ally then more and I really enjoyed that for the girls.

This story does start off a little slow placed, it doesn’t jump right into action and fantasy. Though let me tell you, when it does, it goes all in. The writing, the plot, the character keep you so engrossed, by the time you take a break you’re almost done with the story. If the idea of 3 POVs from the friends may put you off, don’t allow it. I found it super easy to keep track, and the switching from one POV to the next was very seamless and made it so easy to read. All three girls had their weaknesses and faults, but I felt as a group together they were perfect. They were all different but so similar at the same time it made me feel as if they were relatable in some ways. When you get closer to the end of the book you literally feel as if you are sitting on the edge of your seat. All in all, the take away is yes you should grab this book, and yes you should dive into this amazing story and enjoy the ride.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ — 3 Stars

Three Girls. Three Lives. One Bond. has a creative premise and plenty of intrigue — three estranged friends, strange memories, and a mysterious world lurking just beyond reality. The story starts strong, blending mystery and fantasy with emotional tension between the characters.

However, the pacing feels uneven at times, with multiple plotlines fighting for attention. The relationships between the girls are compelling, but some emotional beats and world-building moments could’ve used more depth to really draw readers in. Caelan’s role adds a layer of suspense, though his motives remain murky until late in the story, which may leave some readers frustrated rather than curious.

That said, the concept itself is interesting — friendship, fate, and the blurred line between dream and reality. Fans of supernatural mysteries with a touch of emotional drama will likely enjoy it, but it may not fully satisfy those looking for a tightly woven or polished fantasy narrative.

✨ In short: intriguing idea, decent execution, but could have used stronger pacing and emotional clarity.

I was a bit back and forth with what to rate this book, as I did find it a little bit hard for me to read, however that is due to this book being YA genre. In the end, I decided to give it 3.5 stars.

Firstly, I want to thank the author for allowing me the opportunity to read this book prior to the release, despite it being probably a little bit young for me (which is my own fault, I tend to read books blindly at times without checking the genre) I did enjoy this book. I think it will be an incredible read for the age it is focused for, and in a few years time would happily buy this for my own daughter to read.

I really enjoyed Cammie’s character, Sabina was a little bit of a miss for me in the beginning but I did enjoy her in the end. I wasn’t a fan of Hannah - she came off a little self centered for my liking but it was nice to see a variety in the main characters.

The story itself is fun, coming of age and found family, so you love YA books with any of these things, I highly recommend giving this one a go!

Three childhood friends from very different backgrounds, Cammie, Hannah, and Sabina, have gone their separate ways. However, circumstances pull them back together again, and they learn they have more in common than they think. Their lives are turned upside down, and they realize their lives are not what they thought. They learn the truth, come together, and decide to embrace a new future. Twisted Bond is really a tale of friendship, with lots of magic and a fantastical adventure. It's about hard choices and figuring out what is important. I enjoyed all three girls' stories as they navigated the first part of the book separately and then came together and struggled to understand each other. I struggled some with the world building. I feel like there were a lot of unanswered questions about how this whole multi-universe world worked. This was a little frustrating, so although I enjoyed the book overall, it was a 4 star book for me.

This was a strong YA Romantasy novel from an author whose career I will be following. It is unusual to find a book that has the breadth of this one and at 600+ pages there was room for this book to develop and explore the world that was being presented to me. With a strong story, characters I enjoyed getting to know, and a very original concept, Twisted Bond drew me in and kept me wondering where the story was going to take me. My only critique is that at times the story lagged just a little, but I'm not sure if that is me or the design of the book itself. I say this because when I sat back I could see how these moments might be breathing pauses to give a reader time to process the story. And, to be honest, I am an impatient reader so as I said this could just be me. As you can see from my rating, I really enjoyed this book and will be back for me from the author!

Twisted Bond by Katlyn De Rouen

Cammie, Hannah and Sabina are friends who haven’t talked in almost a decade. Cammie has been plagued with strange memories and when a man named Caelan walks into the bookstore where she works and says he has the answers, she reaches out to her friends for help them. There is a man they need to find that holds the key to an unseen world and is the only one who can help Cami.

I found this to be engaging read. I love the characters. I liked that after so much time apart they could come together to help each other. I also enjoyed getting all of their point of views and getting to know them better. This was an action packed story with magic and a hint of possible romances for all these girls in the future books. Recommended for anyone who enjoys reading YA fantasy fantasy.

I went into this book completely blind. I saw it was free for a Stuff Your Kindle event and the cover drew me in.
I wasn’t expecting to get thrown into a world of secrets, twists, and found family! Every turn was unexpected and every plot twist took me by surprise, which usually I can see coming from a mile away.
I hear everyone saying the story is long winded, I think it’s for a reason. Our main girls go through a LOT, and going from your average everyday girls to MORE is a huge process. The story would have felt rushed and their growth would have not been believable if we streamlined it.
My only issue is the dialogue. It felt like characters spoke in circles a lot, but I did feel this improved as the story moved into the ending.
Overall I loved this book, I’m so happy I dove into this world and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

I really enjoyed this book! The beginning really grabs you with the POV of each of the 3 girl in interchanging chapter of snippets of their current situations. It did take me a few chapters to get the hang of each POV but when I did it kept me turning the page for more! The twist of the story caught me by surprise, although I had suspected something like that just not so intertwined between the girls. The setting takes place in several places and the action is almost non-stop edge of your seat rollercoaster that keeps you guessing at the how it all fits together at every turn! And that ending...can't wait for the next book to see how things turn out for these girls, their family and friends.

YA portal fantasy with wolves, fae, and prophetic theme.

3 former best friends have been brought back together by fate to fulfill a prophecy. Will they embrace their newfound roles or run from it and stick to the life they know and love in the Earth realm?

This book had a slow start, with some forced dialogue, but the ending made up for it. The 3 POVs made it interesting, but one character was very unlikeable. I feel like we needed a little more backstory to the girls’ friendship and why it fell apart. But overall, the premise was really interesting and it was a good read. I would be interested in seeing the writing develop in the next book of this series.

I received an ebook ARC of this novel and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Twisted Bond presents an intriguing premise that initially promises an engaging and suspenseful narrative. The setup is compelling, drawing readers in with its potential for deep character development and complex plot twists. Unfortunately, after a month of trying to read this book, it's time for me to DNF 30% in.

One of my main challenges was the pacing. The story unfolds at a slow pace, with significant developments taking much longer to surface. By Chapter 19, very few plot points finally begin to emerge; some readers may find their patience tested.
Additionally, the dialogue between characters often feels excessive, with conversations that do not always contribute to the advancement of the plot or the depth of the characters.

I was gifted an ARC of this book by the author.

First and foremost- What. A. Ride.
The story follows three best friends and is told in triple POV as they learn that everything is not as it seems, and that their fates are bound together.

Each girl has a distinct personality, and each one experiences significant character development- and this is only the first book?!

There’s action, mystery, romance (no spice for those looking for a spicy fantasy), a hidden world, and so much more.

Katlyn, I’ve already told you this- but I’m so proud of you. This book is your baby and the detail and blood, sweat and tears you’ve put into it show.

PS please give us more Tony. 🤣
