There is an ominous darkness; one that is so dense and mind-numbing that you can feel the chills race across your skin as the energy of its hatred hovers near you. They thought that it was over… that he was dead… they never imagined that he was more powerful dead than he ever was alive.

The dark dimension Esterious is on the brink of war, the victory Willow had a few days ago is nothing more than a vague memory. With each thought she has, she fights the images of Drake’s dark eyes and his words… his promises. Doubt seeps into her soul as she faces what could be the hardest battle she has faced so far.

Venus is meant to be the planet of love and peace… but when it falls into retrograde its influence changes. Matters of past relationships will surface, choices will be made with the mind and not the heart and gateways to an evil that cannot be fathomed will open. Willow and Landen’s only defense is to hide their family away, and lock themselves in the palace that was once ruled by Donalt.

The energy is heavy and dark within its walls…there is a presence that lingers and strikes at will. Cruel illusions are placed before Willow, but that is not even the hardest part… what is hard is standing in a room with Drake and Landen and listening to others tell you of lives that you cannot recall… for them to tell you when and how you are going to die.

Every prediction and theory is about to be proven wrong… and the choice before Willow’s heart holds the lives of millions at stake. The question is: will she be able to see through the illusions before her and make a choice… she can live with?

Jamie Magee, you are such a brilliant storyteller!! Thank you for giving me a chance to experience a plethora of emotions. Image was like one great rollercoaster ride. At times I wanted to scream at the book because I felt conficted and torn and at the same time I can also sense the frustration of the characters in the story. As with the first two books in the Insight series, I have never ceased to be amazed at the "old-soul" feel that you seem to impart to the readers. I treasure the bits of truths that you leave in the story. It felt like breadcrumbs being scattered here and there by Hansel and Gretel-- readers would be better off picking up the crumbs and learning from the old truths.
Definitely a 5+. The Insight series will always be among my most loved stories. You have managed to create a magnificent literary portal to the world of Chara and into the lives of Landen-Willow-Drake.

I just hope the series does not end here.

I recieved an ARC copy of this book from the author in exchange of an honest review and as a thanks to my reviews of her previous books.
I have to say I love Magee's style and writing, she has a way of keeping your attention none stop, and surprising you when you least expect it in both a good way and a bad way, characters make both good and bad choices and I'm really mad at one of them, let's hope they redeem themselves in the next book. The choices they made were heart gripping and took my breath away, especially when the demon appeared.
We get to see more of Willow's, Landen's and Drake's relationship and the way they can decide to work together when and if they want to.
Also we see more of Willow's past lifes, which were really interesting.
I have to repeat that although I love Willow and Landen I hope, really hope there is someone out there for Drake he sooo... special, I can't think of another word to describe him, he's the kind of character that will fustrate you a lot of times but in the end you'll learn to love.
And Libby, Preston and Allie, I love them and their happiness and their conection to Willow and Landen.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series and I'm sure it'll be as good if not better as this one and all previous.

I really liked this book. I really liked this story line and hope the author comes out with another in the series. I HATED the typos. Sometimes the name would be wrong of who they were talking about, sometime the city, sometimes there would be missing punctuation.. if you haven't seen this example of poor punctuation: Let's eat Grandpa or Let's eat, Grandpa... totally different meaning, and that happened in this book (not those words obviously). I am not saying that I am a grammar or spelling queen by any means but if I notice it, it must be bad, because normally it doesn't even phase me. I had to re read many parts to get the right story. And sometimes, I was still confused.

As for the actual story, I think this author does a wonderful job with the action and the relationships between characters. I know Landon and Willow are soul mates, but sometimes it is really over the top lovey dovey which kind of bothers me.. seriously how many times can you tell someone you love them - like a million times in a day? Is that too much? I think so. I wasn't a fan of how weak Willow comes off. In the beginning everyone was saying how strong she was, and in this book she really isn't and she is always running to Landon to have him shield her with the gift of emotion -- that she gave him! Frustrating! I could understand this if he had the gift of emotion first, but he didn't. Her power should be stronger. Whatever, in order to enjoy a book, sometimes you have to let some little things go, and I did that.

After reading Drakes side of things, I feel sorry for the guy. Which is pretty good writing considering he was the "bad" guy in the first two books.

I hope the next comes out soon, I want to read about Dane and see if he goes rogue or not :)

Book 3 in the Insight Series.

Over the top intensity drives this book! I LOVED it! Once I started - it was hard to put it down. We've been so closely wrapped up in Landen and Willow - all the while - there's DRAKE! Finally, in a battle to rip the scabs off those wounds and retch your emotions, we have IMAGE. I love Landen and Willow together, don't want it to end, however, I love DRAKE - I'm not saying to put Willow and Drake together, but this book dives hard into Drake. Thank you Jamie!!!! Amazingly the three must figure out their destiny!

I think that Landen is so strong emotionally and Drake is so strongly in tune with his emotions - what's the difference - well Landen is comfortable, he expresses himself, he's at one with Willow. Drake, well he acts out of emotion not matter if it's misplaced, and still he keeps it together. I can't explain it! I love them both! The private conversations with Drake and Willow in this book - - still giving me the chills - Jamie does it with her books everytime - and that's a good thing. I'm so right in the middle of the story.

Jamie doesn't just write, but she knows her astrology and stars - I love that she has done her research - there's so much in this series that shows the level of time it's taken to put together this world.

MAN! I just can't get some of the comments Drake made out of my head. And Dane - oh Dane - well, you just need to read this book!

Jamie - Well done - XOXOXO - thank you for this one - it's the topped the other two. I'm so emotionally vested in Landen, Willow and Drake :) !

First things first, when I read Insight, the first book in the series, it was my top YA book for 2010. Then I read Embody, the second book in the series, and that became my top YA book for 2011. After reading Image, the third book in the series, I have decided that it kicked both book’s butts and is now my top YA book period.
Jamie has definitely out done her self. If you have read the first two books in this series then you already know it’s about true love or soul mates, the zodiac, and the trails the characters go through. There hasn’t been any real “darkness” until now. There is a “darkness” in this book that I don’t think anyone would expect from Jamie.
Image has tons of twist and turns. Characters that you wouldn’t expect to come together do and then there is one character that has left me completely stunned and now I am desperately waiting for the next book to find out if I am going to continue being mad at them.In Image you will get a closer look into the relationships of Willow, Landen, and Drake. You will also get more information of their past lives. It is full of just the right amount of action, suspense, and of course a love story.
If you haven’t read this series yet I really recommend that you do. I am sure you will fall in love like I have.
5 out of 5 stars!

Alright, this books was a great next step in the series. My biggest beef with the book was that it felt a bit anti climatic. The tension and drama were building and then released with one hundred pages still to go. What followed after that was rather lame. I kept wondering what big thing was going to happen that would finish the book. Other than that I really liked that the author continued to add more depth to some of the characters. I find it interesting that Jamie can keep thinking up more layers to add after the previous conflict is over. With each book we keep finding that was seemed such a big deal before is really not the picture at all. I liked that we got to explore Drake more in this book. There really are two sides to every story and it was nice to find out that his story isn't black and white. I don't know how I feel about the last development in the book. It just seems that Dane wasn't acting himself there at the end. I gather that is the material point that we will explore in the next book. So, I am wondering if there are going to be nine books or are some of the trials going to be combined in future books. It just seems that it would be hard to keep the interest of your readers and a consistency in the story. I guess time will tell.

Jamie Magee's writing never ceases to amaze me. After reading Embody (Insight #2) last week I was sure this series couldn't possibly get any better. Boy, I couldn't have been any more wrong. Image (Insight #3) put my mind through a roller coaster of emotions. Every time I thought I had it all figured out, I was wrong. Many secrets were revealed that you weren't even aware were being kept.

Jamie Magee is an author to keep track of. Her writing style pulls you into the story to make you feel like you are apart of it yourself. Image (Insight #3) is set to be released November 8th 2011.

Jamie Magee has an astounding way with words, I've been completely in awe by her stories and I highly enjoyed Image! The emotions leap out, grab you and hold you captive beyond the very last word on the very last page! This is a book that you want to take your time reading, not rush through, so that you can soak up every last detail. In Image we begin to see different sides of the same characters and I'm beyond excited to see what the next book(and trail) will bring!

Out of the three novels available to read at this time, I find this one the best. It concluded a lot of issues and problems. It also talked more about the future and who could cause them harm. I love the alliance with Drake, even though he was temporarily evil, I adore him. As for Dane and finding out all the facts about his past life, well that made me shiver a bit. Either way the next novel is bound to be amazing as well.

Another perfect book to go along with the Insight series. Can't help but wonder who is going to fall for Drake and give him the light he needs. Falling in love with the characters even more then before. Can't wait for the next one!

This was so much better than the first two books. It went into the relationships and the heart of the story. It had great messages about life, love and facing adversity. Having a good support system is a key to happiness. But believing in yourself is more powerful when combined.

In this part of the Saga we find Landen, Willow and Drake having to work together. New revelation of who Willow's original parents are I jaw dropping. Alli, Libby and Preston again play key roles in the story. Willow finds herself having to make a life changing decision. Drake teaches Landon a new power that will change many. Dane has beef with Landen and Willow and he makes a choice that changes much. Olivia makes a revelation and Drake explains why he dislikes Dane so much. Lives are overlapping at warp speed in this book in the saga.
Great read that keeps one on the edge of their seats..I am loving it..not as many typos in this book..Thank you Ms Magee for another great story

This is a huge series, aptly named 'Insight', combining the zodiac and reincarnation among other things. The only thing I don't like about it are all of the grammatical and spelling errors. It takes away from the story. Don't e-books have editors who should be correcting these errors?

I love seeing Landen and Willow become stronger.

I was also happy to.see a truce between Drake, Willow and Landen. I am looking forward to reading See and starting Charlie and Draven's story.

After rereading Embody, I could not stop myself.... So I started my favorite of the first three books in the series : Image. And I can tell you, it is still my favorite.

First of all, the few things I did not like in Embody are still present in this book, and actually in all the series so I'll just recap : Willow often appears like she's weak and needs Landen's help + some tasks or hobbies seem to be assigned only to women or only to men...

Now, rereading Image, I realized how much I had forgotten about it !! Or was it because the first time I read it I was not concentrating ? Probably a bit of both. Some aspects of the plot were complicated to understand right away, in my opinion (Jayda, Oba, their link to our three characters...). But this book blew my mind for the second (maybe third) time !!

It is THE book where the web really starts to get weaved and where Jamie Magee's talent just shocks me. I kept wondering if she already had the next books planned while writing this one ! There are some references to fire, anger, fear, or the smell of roses, that made me close the book for a second and search in my memories if this could be linked to the sequels...

Image is a lot darker that the first two books and it sets the path for the next ones, if I remember correctly. I loved that the plot was set in the palace : the dark academia lover in me was puh-leased ! It's the perfect setting for what happens and what we learn throughout the book. The twists were very satisfying, even if I kinda remembered them (about Aliyanna's father for example, I though the characters knew already but turned our it's actually revealed in this precise book).

Overall, what I liked the most was the pureness of Landen and Willow's actions. It gets kinda cheesy between them, but I'm used to it, I know it's their love story. Their goodness is even more beautiful to witness when it's directed at other characters. With Drake, OMG, by the end of the book I was just loving their trio.

I could talk about this book all day but overall, I loved the dark feel it has, the bromances, the softness you can feel between the characters and the philosophical take Jamie Magee puts in her work.

There is no doubt this series will engulf the reader into a whole different universe. I admire the different twist and turns the plot makes I found myself being effected greatly a couple times among the revealing of events in the book for the characters, the trials are a bit confusing honestly for me. The steady stream of information was perfect not leaving the reader any boredom between climatic findings. This book kind of reminds me of religious aspects, with there being a world of people needing redemption and a savior to redeem them and said savior battling against the devil, for the souls of the damned. It's an interesting book and at times completely frustrating, I find myself being a bit disappointed with the female lead i feel like she hasn't grown since being introduced to her in the first book, she's still the same unconfident, guilty, scared, forced leader she has been in last two books, it would be nice to see her take charge and own the stage she's been apt. Male leads were selflessly admirable with their constant support of their female counter part and their ability to be calm collected and lead flawlessly, supporting character were impressive, as a reader I love reading the interactions between all the characters getting to know their personality aside from the leads.

I loved the first 2 books this one the third in the insight series was also great... Well written outside of all of the grammatical errors & the one time she slipped & called Drake Dane instead.... I would happily proofread & edit these books for her lol!
The only reason that this one got 4 stars from me instead of 5 is bc I really don't want Dane to be some dark magic using douche lol, and of course the grammatical issues that I had a harder time overlooking in this book than I did in the previous ones.

I love how Willow seems to be growing stronger & how Olivia fits in more now than she did previously. This triangle between Drake, Landen, & Willow is Starting to big me, but I'm sure all will unravel in due time. I personally feel that they are putting too much faith & trust into Drake.... Do I feel for the guy, yes, but at the same time, consider how he was raised & who he was raised to be! I don't see myself trusting him quite so easily. I do hope he finds his soulmate in the next book & that they can all be at peace with each other, but I don't see this happening as Jamie tends to like to keep us on edge! Lol
All in all, I'm looking forward to her next Insight novel, which I hear is scheduled to be released sometime late this year!

I usually do my own summaries of books, but this series has a lot to do with Willow’s mentors reading star charts to help her with her upcoming battles, and I feel that the formal summary explains it better than I could. I only like to provide my own summaries to help people have more information about the book because sometimes I feel like I need and want to know more about the book than what’s usually given in summaries.

If I provided one, I think I would just botch trying to explain the charts. Now, onto the book. I think Willow and Landen are a great couple, but Drake still holds my interest. There was a twist or revelation to this book that I didn’t see coming.

Well, several, BUT, the one I’m really intrigued about is one involving Drake and Willow. It mentions the idea of having a ‘bad’ and ‘good’ soulmate, so essentially everyone has two soulmates. With that being sad, I really want Drake to end up being happy, but I kind of want him with Willow, even though it’s mentioned he’s the ‘bad’ soulmate.

I do like Landen, but I’m always a sucker for the darker love interests. This is one of the most creative series I’ve read so far. I really can’t wait to see what’s in store for Landen, Willow, and Drake.
