I particularly liked this Eloise book because it showed what Eloise is like on Valentine’s Day (which I have never seen before), despite it not being an original story produced by Kay Thompson or Hilary Knight.

Eloise likes to make her own valentine's and deliver them to everybody. She plays cupid and watches happy couples on her valentine adventures. She always saves the best valentines for last and loves her gifts from her mother and the call she gets. This series of books may be good for a child who has parents that travel a lot as it shows her as a happy child although her parents are not around much.

This was our first "Eloise" book so not sure if they are all like this one or not. I personally didn't like it, she is too on the spoiled side for me. I don't like children who show out and have to be very much center of attention. And through out this book Eloise is this way, making a wake everywhere she goes. If you enjoy Junie B Jones books you would enjoy this book as Junie and Eloise are very similar characters. Not a horrible Valentines book, but just turned me off with the main character.
