Usually, I don't write reviews but this one was...special. While I enjoyed the first two, I was excited to see that the writing had improved greatly and I could actually relate to Ana more fully than before.
But this ending? I was so pissed off with this ending I was yelling at my Kindle as though it had control of the matter. I mean...wtf?!
*SPOILER*
Im usually excited when authors break the 'happy ever after' rule, but this was just annoying. Why couldn't they have just let her die and that be the end of it? Why did they have to go through all the other crap? I would have been happy just knowing that she died after achieving her destiny. I was definitely not expecting the whole Taylor/darren thing.
That being said, I enjoyed every other moment of this book. The action scenes were decent and Ana has come a long way since accepting everything that comes her way without a second thought. Good book all in all but I should've stopped before that last chapter.

I thought the outcome of the book was good. The only issue I have with the ending is it left me without the closure I needed.

***Spoiler!!******

I needed more of a response from Ana than what she gave Tristan for me to feel the story was over and they would be happy.

So for myself I added a few lines after the last three, to give myself that closure.....

"Forever?" I asked
"Forever." He said
I reached up, and took his hand. I wrapped his arms around me and pulled him onto my lips, kissing him deeply, longingly. Breathing heavily, I pulled back a little leaving my lips brushing against his. I whispered, "I love you Tristan, take me to Neverland."

Ok, now I'm good!

I would have given the end to this series 5 stars if the author would have given us just *1* more page of a conclusion! I'm okay with the ending, it was very bittersweet. You can tell that you love a series when your heartaches for the characters! I don't think that I'll forget this series anytime soon. Ana, Tristan, Darren, London, etc will always have a soft spot in my heart!!! My opinion on the ending...

Ughh, I enjoyed this trilogy, I really did, but this ending, wtf? So much unsaid, so much I don't know.

This book was last of the trilogy and so much happened. Ana had to fulfill her purpose and one of her 2 loves was going to die because of it. It was action packed and I so wanted her to succeed and she eventually did. She was manipulated and blackmailed and overall held the weight of the world on her shoulders. The end of the vampires came about so easy, I thought there might have been a little more to it, and even thought perhaps she would of thought of Tristan before she said those words. She didn't and then it was over. No more Tristan, no more Darren. No more drama.

If the ending was different I would have given this series a big fat 5 stars but seeing as though I have no idea what happened on the beach near the end, how Tristan came back, why Taylor ended up with Darren, what happened to Leia, and to see that she had to live out all those years again being alone watching everything over again, I can't possibly go past 3 shining stars.

So disappointed that she didn't really get her happily ever after even after living over half a dozen different lives :( or she did right at the end, I think, but I don't get why then? Why not hundreds of years earlier? How?

Again, ughhhh. I just don't get it.

I have mixed feelings about this book and I'm not sure how to describe them. For one the ending was for lack of better words weird, which ultimately set of the vibe of the whole book. For another I was a bit disappointed by the war scene, the whole book built up to that one moment, made such a big deal about it, and it was described in one page; there was no action and the "big bad wolf" was killed too easily for someone with so much power so it felt like all that hype was for nothing.

It is a shame because I enjoyed the first two books, but since the third and final book did not captivate me and left me feeling more confused than having a sense of closure as a final book should I would not reccommend the series. I say this because I feel that the ending is everything and in my opionion it is important to have closure to the 'adventure' and not left with questions unanswered.

This is the third book in a supposed trilogy. The second "book" - Brown Eyes - is really a short story to bridge the first and third book, not another "book" in a trilogy. After reading the first book, I was hooked; it had so much potential for a great series. The third book just fell flat. Characters and events seemed to be thrown together haphazardly and hastily. So much was left unexplained. The spelling and grammar mistakes were unbelievable, another unfortunate side effect of self-publishing these days, it seems.
Needless to say, this was a very disappointing read.

Title: Angel Eyes (Final Book, The Forever Trilogy)
Author: Brandon Alston, Quinteria Ramey
Genre: YA, Romance, Supernatural, Mythology
Publication: August 2011 (out now)

Summary: If you were granted one last chance to right your biggest wrong, would you be willing to try?
Even if failure could cost you the people you love most?
Or if success would cost you person that loves you more than anything?

Review: I LOVED this trilogy! It was short and sweet and kept me hanging on. Ana was an archangel, was as in past tense. She fell… thus never being allowed into heaven again because of her love for a vampire. She could not choose between love and destiny. This choice means the lives and deaths of all of her people. In this final book Ana finally makes the choice. It is a huge sacrifice of courage and all of those she loves.
My personal opinion of this series is yes, read it. The only disappointments I can call out is they are too short being novellas and I was not crazy about the ending of the final book. I felt there was a big build up of a climax and it ended way too quickly. I understand why and how it was done this was but with a huge war brewing and everyone about to be wiped out of existence it seemed a bit premature. I enjoyed it immensely in the end and still recommend it.
Mr. Alston and Ms. Ramey have another trilogy in the works and I’m absolutely looking forward to reading this as well.

What a great ending to the series! The whole time I never expected her to have the ability to go back in time. I thought everything was just so perfect. How she stopped her son, how she got a second chance, etc. My heart was about to break when I read how she went to go find Tristan and he was already dead. Her bravery to move on amazed me though. Then, when Taylor and Darren got together I noticed that they really were perfect for each other <3 When Darren died, I thought this is the end. There is no more. Then Tristan appears as an angel and says " I promised you that I would always find you, didn't I?" AHH! Nearly cried :)

I would give this a 2.5 if I could. Disappointing last novel to a decent trilogy. It felt like a quick and messy job of rushing one tying up all the loose ends.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The conclusion to Anastasia’s journey offers high emotional stakes and difficult choices that test loyalty and love. The pacing is tight, and the blend of romance and supernatural battle culminates in a satisfying yet bittersweet finale. A fitting end to a trilogy about courage, sacrifice, and self-discovery.

It makes me very sad to have to give this book two stars, and I think that is because I am a dangerously sentimental person. I purchased this series back in the spring of 2012 and devoured it within days. Now, at this time I was what most would call a 'hormonal twelve year old' and therefore, all it took was one description of Tristan's 'stunning green eyes' for me to fall utterly and irrevocably in love with the story. I found myself recommending the books to strangers on the bus, my teachers in school, and sometimes I even discussed the plot with my five year old sister. I remember shouting in frustration as Anna never seemed capable of choosing Tristan over Darren, as I really did not see the competition. Tristan has green eyes...Tristan wins! Over the past four years, as yes it does shock me to admit that I'm growing old, this book has always held a special place in my heart. Being the first ever set of books I purchased on my beloved Kindle, I found it difficult to shake off the impression it made on me. But like I said before, I was twelve!
Now, a few days ago, I decided to reread the series and see if my emotions still hold dear. And two pages into the book, I looked up in utter befuddlement.
The writing is childish and immature, the characters have no personalities, they talk unrealistically, a fifteen year old, irritating child somehow rules an entire haven of witches despite the fact that she is clearly emotionally unstable. A child who did not react much after her mother was dragged off by vampires. I do not understand how that is in any way plausible? She's irritating, boring and she's always thinking about herself. She complains about how everything is her fault and how no one seems to like her. Her relationship with Darren escalated at a ridiculous rate and personally, (sorry twelve year old me!) I found Tristan creepy. Why does he think that its okay to walk into the bedroom of a fifteen year old girl and watch her sleep? And if he 'cared' so much about her, why didn't he just leave her alone or better yet, go and finish of Daemon and therefore make her life all the more easier? He had no passion and just kept repeating the same things over and over. One minute him and Anna are in love and the next they're arguing. Then , Anna's grandmother, the queen of the haven. By the end of Angel Eyes, I was ready to kill her.
I do not recommend this book unless you are twelve years old, in which case, ignore all of the above and...enjoy!

So I've reached the conclusion of the series and I guess I can say I'm content. I can say its a good series. It was entertaining and suspensful to a certain degree and at times it was gut-wrenching. I got involved with the characters a bit, but I guess I expected something different. I won't say better, just different. The protagonist upset me a few times. I get that she's a teenager, so that made me forgive her actions in the first two books, but at some point I expected her to behave like someone who'd seen an eternity of life and the consequences of bad choices. I got a little annoyed with the repeat in mistakes. Even with all that, I still liked her and became emotionally invested in her. The boys on the other hand, I wish I'd loved them more. I almost didn't care about which one Ana would choose because I didn't feel any connection to them beyond friendship. I was more into what happened with her friends. Anyway, so the story finally reached a conclusion and I don't know how to feel about it. The ending was a little rushed. Then again, I think slowing it down might have made it drag so.... Then, what became of Ana kind of bothered me. I'm glad that she got to fix something in this whole mess she created, but I don't know... the ending was lacking something I couldn't put my finger on. Perhaps an explanation as to how "he" was able to join her. I don't know. I really want to give this one a 3.5. I did like the series overall though and might read more from these authors.

Finale

I’m still on the fence as to whether I LOVE the ending of this final in the “Forever Trilogy”. But I can say that I really liked it.

I read that this was a full novel and not a novella as was book 2, but at only 95 pages… that’s not a full novel to me, so I went in with higher expectations. I definitely feel that book 2 and book 3 should be one book… but I understand that the transition would have been more challenging.

With that said, it still was another action packed, fast paced book with several surprising twists and turns. Defiantly a must if you’ve read the first 2. It ties up the loose strings nicely. The last paragraph I needed to re-read because I missed the ending knot but it is there.. and made me smile.

All in all… This is a great little series and I look forward to the author’s further works….

NOW.. .. At the end of the book was the beginning of the author’s next book called “Blue”. It was a short preview, but I was hooked! I was excited to keep reading but much to my disappointment, I could not find “Blue” anywhere! It was supposed to be released in Oct 2011 and that was a pushed back release date. There was a small post on the author’s website apologizing for the Oct 11 push back but since then… nothing!! Many, many, people have asked for the book on various forums around the net, but the author does not continue talking about it on his website. He is push a new book (no release date set).
BUMMER!!

In Angel Eyes, Ana’s journey and destiny come to a head. Tristan is behaving strangely, thousands of witches and warlocks perish at the hands of vampires and a new enemy – the fallen angels. And now her own haven is threatened. What more will Ana lose before her destiny is completed? Will she make the choice too late?

If anyone had told me that I would CRY by the end of Angel Eyes back when I was reading Grey Eyes, I never would have believed them. Seriously. There is a world of difference in the writing, structure and character development between the first and the third books. There aren’t a lot of books that evoke such a strong emotional response from me, but this one most certainly did. In fact, I read the ending a second time just so I could put the emotions aside a little and grasp the full meaning of the end.

If you’re reading the first book in the series or have put it down because of rampant typos, problems with fluency and confusing sections, I highly recommend giving it another go. I don’t remember seeing any typos or struggling with any of the passage meanings in Angel Eyes. I simply remember beautiful writing, a well-thought story and amazing climax and characters. Quite simply: a wonderfully written book that earned a very surprising five star rating from me.

Today's review is on Angel Eyes by Quinteria Ramey

Angel Eyes is the final installment in the Forever Trilogy, and for me it fell a bit below the mark. There were numerous spelling and grammar errors through out the book, and was a bit anti-climatic.

There was great build up to THE final battle where Ana would finally right the wrong's of her previous lives, but once you got there, there was little to zero action. And though I am a sucker for the happy ending, I think that perhaps the author's could have written it a bit better. It took far to many years for her to be reunited with Tristan, and to see her entire lives relived differently? That's just a little out there.

I had had such high hopes for this last book and was let down. I really liked and enjoyed the two previous installments; even with the numerous errors, and am quite sad Angel Eyes couldn't stand up with them.

I hated the ending. *SPOILERS*

Don't get me wrong, I am glad that things worked out for everyone. But I just don't get it. First of all, Taylor and Darren never showed anything hint of any romantic spark, so why would they get together?! Secondly, how in the hell does Tristan come back? He dies in both of Ana's realities. So how come he just randomly appears? Make no mistake, I am happy that she gets to be with Tristan because he was the one I was routing for all along. But I don't get how he just randomly appears. It just doesn't get explained well enough at all. A mention of a light in his eyes could suggest he's an angel, but there is no explanation.

I am glad she got to be with Tristan, but the ending was so abrupt- there was a huge huge build up and then... That. I mean, there wasn't even a stand off between Ana and Daemon- surely they should have had words? She is essentially his mother...

I was really disappointed with the anti-climax and then the poor explanation.

It took me a long time to bring myself to read the last book, but when I finally did do so yesterday, it took my breath away. I finished the book in a blink of an eye (literally), it took me about 2 hours...
I've had a hard time reading the whole series because at times the writing seemed amateur, the other characters weren't completely finished and there were some holes in the story.
Now you must be wondering why I gave the book five stars. Well, that one is easy, because the ending got me. It made me cry. The emotions written in the last four pages were what I was searching for in the whole series. Tristan's sacrifice for Anna, Darren's love (well, I wasn't that big of a fan of his anyway) and mostly Anna's decision, it was the only right decision she's made in the whole book.
I think that the book will stay in my head and in my heart for a long time.

I loved the first two books. The writing was well done and the plot was set up nicely. The endings left me wanting more. However, this book fell flat. The ending made no sense because things that happened in the series should have prevented things that happened in the end from happening. Why did Tristan come find her? Isn't he dead? I can't believe Darren and Taylor ended up together. The ending left much to be desired. I REALLY wanted Darren and Ana to end up together!

How was Tristan still alive even though Daemon was killed? Is Ana still a Fallen Angel? What happened to Leia? These are all questions which should have been answered. The killing of Daemon was very anticlimactic. She pretty much said "Kora Mortae" and *boom* he's dead. End of story.

Right, so I think I got to about 80% - 85% of the way through with this book. It was horrible, and I finally just gave up on it. I was so disappointed as the first 2 books in the trilogy were amazing! However, this one wasn't good at all. I struggled to even get as far as I could. I figured I'd finish it as I paid for it, but in the end, I just couldn't do it =( Why waste my time on a boring book when I could be reading something that is better? I really wanted this book to be good especially as the first 2 were amazing. I just stopped caring about the characters and what happens to them. If I had known what a disappointment this 3rd book was, I wouldn't have bothered with the first 2 books.

This book is the thrid of a trilogy. It concluded the story of Anastasia and Tristan and there time together almost. I thought it ended where another book or two might be in order. So it opened itself up to perhaps another series of books, left you hanging wondering what might happen next. Other than that, it was very enjoyable and was a fast read. Thanks to Barnes and Noble for offering the first for free I enjoyed the trilogy nicely. The last few pages of this one where a seek peek at the next book from B. Alston, about mermaids this time. I didn't read those pages. If I start a book I want it to be the whole book. Thanks for the offer but nope. Again a fast read of three books, although the second in the trilogy is just a hort novella isntead of a whole book.

If you haven't read this book yet don't read my review. If you have I recommend reading I think I have cleared up some confusion in the ending.

A depressing ending. ( well to me) but the world went on as if Ana (or any of her past lives) has existed. The truly sad parts were where she missed Tristan by like 40 years ad when she sees Darren again. When she realized Tristan was dead t destroyed her so she carried out of saving lives. When Darren came around, well she was his guardian angel. And she loses him too but many years later. But in the end se gets to go to Neverland with "Tristan" (or really London). She gets to be with "him" forever.

I loved this series! I'm glad she still tried to make everything okay even though she was already kicked outta Heaven. She didn't let that stop her. I'm super happy about who she ended up with :D Though I wish the author expanded a little more on the romance between her and Tristan who I absolutely LOVE!! All her ever wanted was for her to be happy and safe even if that meant she couldn't be with him. The ending took me by surprise a little bit but it was cool how she acted as a gaurdian angel. She got to spend forver with Peter Pan in Never Land :)
