Drawing dungeons was fun for me, so there was no way this monster was going to absorb my limited coinage. Yet, I always wondered how they got the "thousands of combinations." It seems rotation produces some magical math effect. That means I'm still not impressed.

The cover is one of Willingham's best efforts and reminds me of comic books featuring the Marvel villain Arcade. Could you sign your name a little bigger Bill? I always preferred the more subtle EO of Erol Otus, but here the artist manages to convey the bloodshot enthusiasm of a D&D sleepover.

I STILL have this from when I bought it new a Walden Books in the mall somewhere around 1985. And yes, it's full of poorly erased former pencil lined dungeons of terror and the death of at least 3 of my old favorite characters.
