Very good for a novice, just a few nuggets for experienced developers.

The good:
- covers mobile app development very thoroughly, starting with mobile web and moving toward using html/js/css in native enviroment
- relatively short and written well
- covers design, UX considerations and coding
- great example app

The bad:
- Phonegap section in particular isn't useful at all as current Phonegap build process (using Phonegap SDK with command line tools) is entirely different and has always been thoroughly documented at http://docs.phonegap.com/en/2.5.0/gui...
- not considering app performance beyond asset loading
- debug section would benefit with including the Safari debugging info http://developer.apple.com/library/sa...

Semplicemente eccezionale.

I waited too long to read this book. Some mark up parts are a bit old today. On the other hand it is nice to see what was base line when this book was written. First 18% of are still valid. The rest is disputable because webOS or BlackBerry are irrelevant platforms today.

This was a nice, quick read, essentially a walk-through of a product build with lots of references to online resources. Which is fine. But it's certainly not an omnibus of techniques and technologies if that's what you're after.
