1977 in Lippstadt geboren und anschließend einige Kilometer von dort in Mantinghausen aufgewachsen. Ostwestfale also.
Im Kindergarten Kastanienmännchen, in der Schule Abitur und in der Altenpflege
Zivildienst gemacht.

Ab 1998 Designstudium mit Schwerpunkt Illustration an der Fachhochschule Münster.
Diplom im Juli 2004.

Seit 2003 als freier Illustrator für verschiedene Verlage tätig.

Der erste Band der Lieselotte-Buchreihe. Ich glaube, inzwischen gibt es schon 18 Bände, was mich nicht wundert, denn die Kuh Lieselotte macht wirklich Spaß. Auch wenn der Postbote, um den es hier im ersten Band geht, das wohl nicht bestätigen würde. Lieselotte liebt es, den armen Postboten zu erschrecken, doch dann hat dieser eine Idee...
Ich mag diesen ersten Band. Die Geschichte ist einfallsreich, lustig und letztendlich gibt es auch für den Postboten ein Happy End :)

This book is one of my favorite books to read to the students. This book is a good to let the students predict about the ending of the story. This hilarious cow will make the readers laugh. The illustrator does an amazing job of displaying the farm with details. On the side of the road, you will see the details that the kids will notice. I recommend this book to read to your child or students.

Hilarious book. The illustrations are fabulous, and I see something "new" every time I read through. Much of the humor that a close examination from a lap-read will be lost on the storytime group. But the children will still love the concept and story and general pictures (if not their details). I got better with this one by the Thursday group, yet both groups (children and adults) enjoyed the story.

4/25/12 I think the adults in this group liked the book better than the kids. But the kids enjoyed seeing the cow scare the mailman, and they liked seeing the cows in the nightmares. They didn't quite catch how funny it was with the bike and the squished present. Oh well.

9/7/16 Used in "Trip to Farm" preschool theme. Adults definitely liked it. Kids sat still and paid attention. Not as many laughs, but still seemed to like it.

Colorful and entertaining illustrations with a fun story. Student could respond be thinking of creative places for Millie to hid or for ways the mailman could deal with Millie.

Normally, people think of dogs giving mail carriers trouble, so this was an interesting take on that concept. Instead of a dog, the mischievious mail-torturer is Millie the cow. It is quite entertaining to see the random places she hides to scare the mail carrier. Thankfully, the poor mail carrier and Millie are able to come to a truce at the end. The one disappointment for my daughter after we read this book was that she wanted to know what was inside of the package that Millie was suppose to receive (but unfortunately didn't). I guess we will never know... Overall, a funny and entertaining book to read.

This story is is so funny, Cassie and read this together and she giggled so much while we read this amazing little book. The illustrations in this book really help keep the attention of kids. The illustrations are bright and colorful. The animals look amazing and it looks like each one has their own personality. The text was easy to read a loud but also easy enough for new readers to work on reading. This book even has a great story line while the cow is waiting for the mail to come. I recommend this book for preschoolers and young readers.

"Lieselotte lauert" war unser erstes Lieselotte-Buch und wir lesen es immer noch sehr gern. Die Illustrationen passen wunderbar zur Geschichte. In diesem Band gleicht der Anfang einem Wimmelbuch, was das Lesen auch für Kinder interessant macht. Sie erfreuen sich sowieso an den Streichen der Kuh. Aber auch Erwachsene haben ihren Spaß beim Vorlesen. Die Kinder helfen spätestens beim dritten Mal sowieso fleißig mit. Kurz: Absolut empfehlenswert!

On a fantasy farm, a plucky and especially athletic cow loves nothing more than to terrify the mailman. There are some truly great illustrations in this one, and kinetic action fills the pages.

Vegan parents note: The book explains (twice) how Millie is milked each morning, and the book's illustrations depict this. There's no indication that she has any calves, so Millie is another "magically milk producing cow" typical of kiddie lit.

This is the second book I've read in this series and I think it may be my new (though it's old) favorite picture book series. The text is funny but the illustrations are hilarious, I love the weird, random details, like a bug skateboarding, a bird wearing swim trucks, and all the chickens' antics. Also, the expressions of the cow, Millie, and the mail carrier are really funny.

Unique feature: The unique feature of this book was the illustrations and text. The font of the text was large and fun. On many pages the text was sideways and had fun fonts which could really interest the readers.

This is a great book for reading aloud with your beginning reader. The sentences are short, the wotds familiar ones, and the illustrations are extra special. My six year-old great grandson enjoyed it immensely. Of course. the best part of this book is the unexpected event in the end!

Millie the cow likes to terrorize the mail carrier. But what happens when he brings HER a package. The art in this one is spectacular, lots of details and expressions and wonderful movement. I wish the story connected the dots just a tiny bit more - it feels like this one leaves a lot hanging.

So sweet, how Millie makes a full turnaround when shes given a purpose. Love the story, I'm looking forward to reading it to students.
