Too advanced for human brain. End of the year test and all the answers were in here. Me and my 15 year old were reading this and we were in the middle when I gave up. You know too challenging for his age. Even I couldn't understand some words.
Elmo & Friends is a wonderful book. A nice design with fantastic illustrations and educational for someone under the age of 5 mist likely. Not only that it has all the Sesame Street gang with the noticeable exclusion of Abby Caddabie. Hey Elmo, where's Abby?
Like I Spy but for the pre-reading set. Makes my kids feel like their reading and the searches are just challenging enough for them to feel accomplished.
“Elmo and Friends”, is a look and find book for toddlers. Each page of this book introduces a new color using rhymes. In addition, each new color introduced has a box of items that need to be found in the picture. The age range for this book is nursery because children in nursery are learning their colors. They can be learning their colors by remembering the rhymes or by trying to find an item in a specific color. This book is a cardboard book that has a smooth and glossy texture. Many different colors are used throughout the book such as, green, blue, pink, and purple. The colors are bright and grab the attention of anyone looking at the book. In addition to color, the use of line is used. One page out of the book is a rhyme about stripes. The lines used for the stripes are thick and bold. Some of the lines are straight and some are wavy. The style of art used in this book is impressionistic art because of the use of light and color. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to teach a child colors. Also this book is an interactive book with children and it is great for children who have a short attention span.
Summary: This book allows children to interact with their Sesame Street friends and find a series of pictures by color and pattern per set of pages. There are multiples of many pictures on the page.
Lesson ideas: This book can be used with preschoolers to work on colors, matching a given picture to a found picture, and counting when there are multiple pictures.
Themes: colors, patterns
Other: The back 2 pages have wonderful ideas for parents/teachers such as going back in the book and finding animals, parts of the body, alphabet, c words, matching objects, beach items, etc. This book has been a favorite of my 2 year old and has been given to friends as presents, and always well-received.
A review from a mom! My older boy got this book as a gift when he was 2yrs old (if i remember correctly) and he loved it for months! Now my 16 month old has also taken interest to it. They seek and search for hours at a time and can't stop looking at it. With my older one we even had it in the car for a few months, even though its a bit big for a car book, they drag it out of the house so that they can take it with them and it the car, they deal with the hassle of turning the big pages because they just don't seem able to stop looking at it! LOL BTW- the cover in our book is different that this one displayed on good reads . New editions may keep changing.
Another book that my son absolutely loves. He points and I name the characters over and over. It's a great book to curl up and spend quality time with your kids.
my youngest loves this look and find book. It's one of his favorites and years later, he still asks to read and find the pictures. Great for toddlers and preschoolers.
