Florence Nightingale

My 5th grader read this in preparation for her wax museum project. Not wanting to miss out, i read it too! Well written and organized, a perfect book for middle grade. Florence Nightingale was truly a noble woman!

My daughter has been learning about Florence Nightingale at school and bought home this book to read. I'm really impressed with how knowledgeable she was, certainly knew more than me.

The book itself is really good, kept nice and simple for kids, keeps in the gory stuff which is an added bonus. Being quite short the author has managed to cram in a lot of info.

A top book to help kids learn about Florence Nightingale.

First of all I love how in depth the book is. I am a pre nursing student and know that with out Florence we would not have female nurses at all. Let alone the cleanly ness that current hospitals need in our day and age and I find her being one more of my personal heroines to look up and admire as I work through schooling and the hat ships that come with it

It’s an excellent story for young readers who can learn about Florence Nightingale in a fun and interesting way.

I got to learn so much about her life by reading it with my niece. It’s definitely full of fun facts and information about Florence’s life which I never knew about.

In the story, it will tell you all about Flornece Nightingale's, who was a famous doctor in 1854, life. Florence look after soldiers in the war, and made hospitals clean. My favourite part is when Florence's sister is getting ready to be married, while Florence is sat reading. I think this book was intersting, however I didn't like the picture of the dead sisters.

I liked the plot because it was based on a true story. I enjoyed the part when the soldiers got revived. At the end it started getting less interesting.
