Excelente biografía, no sólo porque está muy bien documentada y tiene numerosos datos que yo desconocía, sino porque es muy equilibrada, dando una semblanza tanto de Oscar como de Bosie muy imparcial y mencionando tanto puntos a favor como defectos. En ese sentido me parece mucho mejor que otras biografías.
Además es muy completa, caracterizando no sólo a los protagonistas de la historia sino a todo su entorno y el rol que cada uno tuvo en el fatídico romance. Incluso, la biografía continúa después de la muerte de Oscar, dedicando algunos capítulos a la vida posterior de Bosie y los amigos e hijos de Oscar. Y también es amena y atrapante de leer.
Sólo puedo criticar dos cosas: el epílogo es bastante repetitivo, reiterando eventos e interpretaciones que ya se leyeron en capítulos anteriores; y la PESIMA edición de El Ateneo plagada de errores tipográficos que en algunas frases dificultaron la lectura, imperdonable.
En resumen, es un libro ideal para complementar el libro que leí a principios de año escrito por el nieto de Wilde, El marqués y el sodomita: Oscar Wilde ante la justicia y el que estoy por comenzar y que fue escrito por su hijo, Hijo de Oscar Wilde.

Un recorrido para "reivindicar" a Bosie. Me gusta recordar que una misma situación puede ser vivida completamente diferente por dos personas, esas dos versiones existen no porque una sea mentira sino porque somos seres complejos y únicos

I find the story of Oscar and Bosie truly fascinating, and this well written biography was such an enjoyable read. What I loved about it was how it focused on the complexity of Bosie, who to me seems too often forgotten or exaggerated, perhaps unfairly.

The book is really about Oscar AND Bosie, focusing on both and continuing beyond Oscar's life and going through the different periods of Bosie's, paints a very good picture of the relationship.
