I forgot how petty Shin was could be. He's such a jerk, and his defense - that's how I was raised - is pretty laughable.

Volume 3 introduces some new plot developments and threads to Goong: The Royal Palace. While it still is an interesting story the pacing of this volume felt slow and I'm tired already of the heroine being used as a pawn and no one showing her true sympathy. May try one move volume but at this pace I need more character development and growth.

I absolutely loved this book. This was such a fantastic sequel. Chae Kyung starts to develop feelings for Shin and accidently confesses her feelings to him. I will definitely be continuing on with this series very soon.

So much good, angsty heartache in this volume. Part of me hates all the angst, because I just want my people to be happy. But there's another part of me that loves it, because you can just feel the emotion oozing off the page.

Chae Kyung has fallen for Shin. Of course, she doesn't want him to know it, so she's trying to hide it. I wonder if what she tells Yul about falling in love is actually the truth: "It happened... not because it was Shin. I'm only 16, but I live in the palace without my family. I was lonely. It's my personality. I get attached to people easily. If I'd met you first... I might have fallen in love with you." Of course, Chae Kyung doesn't know that she was supposed to marry Yul originally, and there's really no way of truly knowing what would have happened if Chae Kyung and Yul had gotten married instead of Chae Kyung and Shin.

Regardless of whether what Chae Kyung said is true or not, it can't be an easy thing for Yul to hear. He's already angry at Shin over their changed positions, and is unsure if whether his feelings for Chae Kyung are real or a bi-product of his jealousy of Shin. Other than inviting Hyo Rin to his birthday party, Yul has been nothing but thoughtful and kind towards Chae Kyung, and my heart hurt for him as he stood there staring at the sleeping girl he could never have, trying to figure out his true feelings.

Shin is once again a confusing enigma. He continues to treat Chae Kyung harshly, but still gets angry and jealous when she is with anyone else, or does something that implies she doesn't like being with him or living at the palace. Even if Shin has started liking Chae Kyung at this point, he would never admit it, even to himself. It's obvious that he at least doesn't want her with anyone else: there's sending the old friend at the door away, there's saying he might not want to get divorced if he continues to have fun teasing her, and most obviously, there's when he specifically said to Yul, "For now, she's mine, and I can do anything I want with her" and "If you worry about her that much, don't come to our home and stare at her while she's sleeping. Instead, wake her up and send her back to me."

Hopefully Shin can move on to the "I know I love Chae Kyung" stage sooner rather than later. It might be true what he said, that he and Hyo Rin would have had a happy, peaceful life together, since they are so similar, but how boring would that life have been?

Squeal with delight! The perfect soap opera fantasy that is saved from being cheesy because it doesn't take itself too seriously. When the heroine admits to her best friend that her feelings for her new husband are changing, the friend happily holds up two Harlequin romance novels as guides for what's happening. I love that the author has done research into Korean royal life of the past and created a realistic "what if" for royalty today.

Really liked this volume. In this volume you see them starting to get closer and closer. Chae-Kyung accidently tells Shin how she feels. But did he really hear her or was he listening to music. Yul has a birthday party and for some reason he invites Shin old girlfriend. Will he tell Chae-Kyung if he still has feelings for his old girlfriend or not.

You will have to read to find out.

Even though it's a typical story line I really like it. There are currently 18 volumes in Korea and it's still going!! They even made a t.v. show out of the story! Gotta love it, however, I looked at the publishing schedule and it is long and drawn out. Don't know if I'll make it! Oh well, I love the art and that alone will keep me coming back.

I'm really liking this. It's a nice what-if-royalty-still-existed story, giving info on the royal family and traditions, and a potentially good romance. The heroine already started having feelings for the hero but the guy is still a jerk. I can't wait to see him grow and start having feelings for the girl.

Again there were a lot scenes that were too funny and had me laughing. Very enjoyable.

The book cover is so sweet. Now that Chaekyung realizes her feelings for Shin and even shared it with Yul, what will happen to our story? I want to know. I hate Shin, by the way, he is a total jerk. Yul is a little bit creepy and our Chaekyung is so silly. Will this story advance with Chaekyung’s silliness? I want to see Shin’s jealous side!!

I'm liking this more than I have expected. Tho not yet realize, these two leads are being confront with their own feeling & decisions that need to be made for the better of everyone. In one of my update, I seems a bit taken aback by the things that they do & think, contemplating choices for a better decision.

Not bad, but the prince is really an ass. Honestly, why do all of these romance novels have the girls ending up with misunderstood assholes who later change? The world does not work like that!
Still, it is entertaining fluff.
