Overall review of all the books in the series because I'm lazy rn.

I liked the whole thing but my goodness, there were some wacky typos in this.

Without all the editing issues I would have given it 4 Stars because I enjoyed myself a lot and that's the most important thing to me.

This followed different people and the pov changes were fine, not too abrupt.
It starts out before the outbreak and then follows along with the characters as it progresses.

I love zombie stories that follow the character from day zero, that whole initial 'aaaaah wtf is happening, aaaargh zombies omfg, run for your liiiiiife' part I enjoy most since it's usually fast paced and contains a lot of action and most importantly it has a sh*tton of zombies

The ones taking place after 10 years are usually more about how abhorrent people are to each other instead of what I wanna read; zombies and panic and gore.

Anyways, it's a fun read with a solid conclusion and pretty okay characters.

This story had so much potential (wistful sigh). It was a great idea, and I really started to connect with the characters (although some become collateral damage pretty quickly). But for a few issues, I could have given this book a 3 or 4 star rating.

Firstly, this book officially has the title of 'worst editing' for me - I haven't come across anything as bad yet. Aside from being annoying, sometimes I even had to stop and scratch my head to figure out what word was intended. In a relatively short and fast paced story, this is really problematic.

Secondly, the whole 'viral bacteria' thing really stuck with me. No one necessarily expects hard science in these stories, but 'viral bacteria' is difficult to stomach.

Thirdly, US special forces with boots on the ground openly patrolling and taking action in Peru with no mention (that I can recall) of the Peruvian government - really?

This was something I received in a Story Bundle. It's part one of a five part series. Each part is very short so this was the beginning of a larger story that I'm not inclined to track down and continue.

Pretty standard zombie thriller. Meteorite happens in Peru, small town turns into "zombies", the CDC director has to save the world.

In this excerpt, the government is still trying to contain the outbreak and figure out what happened. I wasn't really taken with any of the characters.

The story has potential and begins well. I enjoyed how we are transported back and forth from the site of the original incident to the CDC, etc. character development is progressing nicely. As others have mentioned, the typo's in the eBook make it difficult to slog thru at times.

Since I purchased this as part of a StoryBundle package, I'm a little more flexible but not sure if I would continue with the rest of the series.

Tons of editing errors made this one hard to get through. I've found this a lot with Ms. Druga's writing - she has SUCH good ideas & wonderful stories, but all of the errors in her Kindle books make them such bumpy reads. If she could get a hold of a professional editor before releasing her babies into the world, I'd be a whole lot happier.

"it showed a viral bacteria in the bloodstream..."

This is where I stopped reading. Go back to basic, elementary school biology. Viruses and bacteria are two completely different things. Perhaps the author meant to type, virulent bacteria?
